This is an absolute gem! If you want REAL Mexican food, this is the place. You would not expect a «Hole in the Wall«like this to serve such amazing Mexican food, but they do it every time. They also offer fresh fruit juices they make on the spot. The tacos are made with fresh hand made tortillas, but the burritos are made perfect. They have a huge selection and I haven’t had anything bad. I’m definitely becoming a regular.

Best tacos ever? No. Best tacos I’ve had in LB in a long time? Yep! Wanted to try out a good variety of their meats so we got the Asada, Al Pastor, Buche, & Lengua tacos. Surprisingly all the tacos are the same price at $ 1.50 each. I was expecting the them to be those tiny street tacos but when they came out I was pleasantly surprised at how big they were! The corn tortillas are indeed fresh and thick. It was actually too much tortilla for me – I ended up leaving many end pieces behind. Al Pastor is my go-to meat, and this one was good enough I’d get it again to keep cravings at bay. However it did come in much smaller chunks/flakes like the Asada. Which I don’t really mind because I like some of my meat to be charred. Carne Asada came in very small pieces with lots of flakes as well. Not bad, just different. This came already spicy. Lengua was tender, could use a bit more flavor. But I won’t complain since Lengua is usually more expensive than the other meats! The Buche did not look appetizing but it was surprisingly one of my favorites! Much more flavorful than it looked. A bit on the saltier side. I’d come back just for this. You can expect to get pretty full from just 3 tacos, making a $ 4.50 meal a steal.

Great friendly service. Huge menu. Great prices. Authentic Mexican flavor. The salsa they put in their burritos is spicy as h*ll so ask them to hold the salsa if you don’t like it hot! Oh and they have fresh juices, made from fresh fruit right after u order it. Bomb!

I am so thrilled I have found a new place for authentic Mexican food in my neighborhood. Fantastic service, excellent food(I had a cheese enchilada and carne asada tacos) and it is open 24 hours! I will return, for sure!

This place is full of flies flying around from table to table. The service with the waitresses is very poor. They give attitude when you ask for anything. The food is not bad. I give that to them.

Wildly inconsistent quality and ingredients; I now work in the area, and have stopped in three times in the past month or so for a chorizo and egg burrito for breakfast. The first time was the best; the second time I got a burrito with a lot of beans, a little egg, and very little chorizo. The last time, this past Wednesday, I got plenty of chorizo and egg; unfortunately, the chorizo was so overcooked it was close to charcoal. I will not be returning.

I come here because it is a stones throw from my house. Located on a busy side street called Magnolia. Parking lot with plenty of parking, but it can get jammed pretty fast, so park on street around corner. Now, the food is good. I come here because it is good. Its not the price, it is a little pricy for me. I mean, 6 tacos for 9. I guess is a good deal. I am spoiled, dollar street tacos has got me not willing to pay more for a great staple of America cuisine. But good nonetheless. A must try, great when wasted and have beer blindness. Squeeze, pour, eat, bite. Repeat.

I moved to the Long Beach area about a year ago from the IE, Pomona/Claremont to be exact, and since then, I haven’t been all that stoked on the Mexican food. I’ve found tasty taco spots and friendly Mexican spots, but none gave me the flavors that I was missing from back home. That was until I tried El Loco Taco #3. The taste I craved was a thick red enchilada sauce. Most of the places I had gone to had a more watery red sauce. Some had stuff that just looked like salsa from a jar covering their enchiladas. El Loco Taco # 3 had the sauce I was familiar with. It was thick, bright red, a little spicy, and very tasty. This has made them my go to Mexican spot in the LBC. But that’s not all, the tacos were awesome too. Large hand made tortillas, lots of fillings, and a good price to boot. Even the chips and salsa were on point here. The chips were hot and fresh and the salsa was hot, but it too hot, just the right amount of spice. The prices were fair, although maybe a little more then I’m use to, but with a red sauce like that, I’ll pay it. They even had ice cream and fresh squeezed juices. I still miss the local spots I grew up with, but for now at least I know I can get a little taste of home with out the hour drive.

Dude. I came here because my friends know about this gem. Open 24 hours tucked away in the hood, yes please! Freshly made tortillas. The caldo de res is ONPOINT! I’d say its one of the best I ever had filled with tender beef, bone marrow, generous on the veggies and the broth! OMG, you can tell they have been cooking and reducing the broth for hours. Be brave if you order the Chamango. It burned my face off. Yea… fruit that is spicy. haha!

This place is good but I just have a problem with them not putting enough meat in a taco. One time I came in with my friends and tried to buy they’re Carne Asada around like 3 pounds of it and they got really mad and upset they were saying«Hell No!» I thought but don’t they wanna make some more dinero? so my friends and I ignored it and just ordered a bunch of tacos and left. When I got home I notice a string like ingredient, and it ended up being one of the cooks Curly hair in my taco, I was disturb, when I started picking on the meat some more all of the meat was covered in hairs all balled up inside the meat, I was disgusted. I should of taken a picture but I was too a faithful customer that I didn’t say anything bad about them, until now.

Seriously… getting tired of all these places on Unilocal saying that they are good. This place is not to be confused with the phrase«good tacos can be found here». After looking for a taco place in LBC… you know the yummy street tacos con todo… Unilocal said it was better than average. Should have specified food and not dog shit. A few carne asada and al pastor… try a birria de chivo and cabeza to get a real feel. Holy shit… did they marinated the meat in grease & goat piss!!! Seriously some funky ass«meat» was being used to try and pass these off as tacos. Guess I should have tried King Taco instead. Why are there so MANY bad Mexican restaurants here in So Cal!!!

Been here three times and I’m really digging this place. I moved to Long Beach a year and a half ago and I’ve struggled to find a Mexican spot I really like but it’s looking like this is my go-to now. The Unilocal page says open until midnight but I’ve come here well after 1 am and it was still open, so not really sure what the deal is but I’ll take it. I love carnitas and this place makes them on point. Carnitas torta, carnitas burrito… Both taste great and are loaded with meat. It’s a great deal for the price and the quality is there as well. Next stop I’ll have to try the carne asada and so forth. Overall a great experience and a place I recommend to friends looking for good Mexican food in LB.

Yup, yup, yup… Recently«rediscovered» this little gem. Was a quasi regular years back but somehow, got disconnected. But I’m back número tres, I’m back. What I remember enjoying the most still holds true. Lengua burritos stuffed with tender, melt in your mouth deliciousness of tongue, beans cooked to damn near perfection, rice and cilantro. Be sure to ask for diced tomatoes, lettuce and avocado in it as well. Pure heaven on earth. Simple but oh so effective!!! Asada, al pastor, lengua even the pescado tacos are all delicious and well received. Throw some grilled jalapeños in the mix to further activate the taste buds and finish off a meal to remember. Service has always, ALWAYS, been prompt and courteous here. So glad I’m back…
