Service sucks, cooks are sloppy. I don’t eat chicken but some how they seemed to cut my cabbage over the chicken an I literally had to pick through every bite of food. I was hungry and it was past 9. Drive thru never gets it right… Missing tortillas when charged for an upgrade. Paid for shrimp got chicken tacos. It’s not cheap either. If I order a shrimp bowl I don’t want any chicken bits on it unless specified. This is my drive thru struggle :(

Worst el pollo loco I’ve ever been to! Dumb cashier was just standing by the drive thru window starring at me while I’m signaling her to come to the front counter to assist me. I’ve worked in fast food so I know when you’re just standing there you can assist with customers regardless if you’re in drive thru or not. I would never go back to this location!

This place can either be a 1 or a 3 depending on what time of the day you go. I may currently be the Duke of this El Pollo Loco but by no means do I have a positive attitude towards it; heck, it’s actually the worst El Pollo Loco I’ve been to but what brings me back is that it’s probably the healthiest and most affordable fast food place within proximity of my work. If you’re going to come here, make an effort to get here before 11AM, otherwise expect to be welcomed into a world of s*** as soon as entering the establishment’s parking lot as it is painstakingly difficult to get in and out of here. Many times I have been trapped by cars trying to leave, others trying to park, and some waiting in the drive thru. Another thing that really goes down hill after 11AM is the efficiency and customer service, well tbh there’s only one girl in the mornings that actually gives decent customer service(I wish I could remember her name) but everyone else is rather unpleasant. As far as ambiance it’s your typical El Pollo Loco setup with the clientele being an admixture of health workers, blue collars, & ghetto people lol. Bottom line is stay away from this place during the lunch rush.

I got the chicken and shrimp enchiladas, which are super yummy. The shrimp ones are my favorite. However I am currently eating them in my car around the corner because I cleaned up the table I intended to sit at and a black guy came and yelled at me for throwing away his trash. I had no idea he wanted his receipt so bad, and that cup with the hole in it. At least there is AC in my car.

Good food, fast, healthy options. I love the salads with the citrus dressing. It’s so delicious I could drink it. Lines are pretty short and offers actuate but always check your order before you leave to be sure.

Worst Pollo Loco ever!!! They have no customer service! It was so disgusting food all over the floor. In the back where they prepare the food it was so dirty as well. My niece even fell from the mashed potatoes on the floor and the manager Rose just said sorry, didn’t even seem to care.

Poor customer service. They cannot read too well. I gave them a coupon for a new item that was emailed to me. It stated it may be used up to July 1. The worker said it has to be used starting on July 1st. No use arguing with an idiot that can’t read. So I ordered something else. Good Tostada.The salsa bar was practically empty. I told the worker they need to get more.Silence.Said it again. The Salsa came but by then, I had finished my meal. Additionally, the tables were very messy. It was a challenge to find a clean table. The place is poorly managed.

This is by far the worst El Pollo Loco location in Long Beach. There is no parking, they are incredibly slow and they cannot seem to make change. The drive-thru is the worst as well because they are just unorganized and take longer than normal to take your order. My total bill was $ 8.34 and I gave the clerk $ 10.34 and that threw the clerk completely off. I had to remind the clerk she owed me $ 2.

I live in LB, and worked at the pollo loco on Anaheim and Redondo while I was in high school. I love it! The closest one by my house tho is this one on Long Beach Blvd. EVERYTIME I’ve came here whether it’s the drive thru or inside I’ve waited at leasts 20 minutes for my order and get this, it’s less than 5 items! I get that you are tired, and want to go home after a long shift but a smile would not hurt or even a «Hello». I get a nasty look and a «Are you ready?» I also don’t get how if it’s always busy, why they don’t have enough staff. The drive thru is their main priority and the front is empty with one cashier and one person behind making both the drive thru orders and the orders for the inside. They take too long, the salsa bar is always messy and not stocked and usually always mess something up on your order. Dinning area isn’t so bad, and the staff could be more nicer and welcoming. I rather go to the one on Anaheim or ok Clark, but oh well. They need some improvement, ASAP!

You always get hosed(f$#@&d) in the drive thru! This time no SALSA! AREYOUFRICKINKIDDINGME! Maybe it’s because the cholas inside are too busy gossiping and bitching? Or maybe I just look like a guy who doesn’t like salsa? I wasn’t asked. Do you have to ask for salsa at an El Pollo Loco? This was a first for me! Also no plastic utensils, I guess the nickel plastic spoons are too expensive to give unless you ask. When you get your food you might as well shut the car off and check EVERYTHING because I can guarantee you that they will make a mistake or short you on something. I ordered the baja shrimp and cilantro burrito, I say that because it was supposed to have shrimp and the other half of it was cilantro(nasty). There is nothing wrong than a little finely chopped pieces of cilantro on a burrito, however when they use a small forest of cilantro plants as fillers than it really sucks! I also got the Tres Leche cake, or at least it’s supposed to be cake, however if it is less than ½ inch thick can it legally be called cake? Oh, and the service was a perfect match, you have the privilege of almost having to beg for your order from a dude who makes sure to convey to you that you are wasting his time and inconveniencing him. I never heard welcome, how can I help you, please, or thank you. With every one of my as seldom as possible visits(the wife likes chicken) I clearly am understanding this location’s revised business model: Take a good product and brand, realize that it is not in the best neighborhood, do a half-ass job with the recipe, don’t spend any money on cleaning or maintenance, have zero standards of service, allow employees to be rude and indifferent, and always forget at least one thing from the order. Shame on me for accepting and rewarding this abuse by coming back. Never again!

Of all the El Pollo Loco locations I have ever been to, this, by FAR is the worst location ever! I’d I had the opportunity to give it a negative rating, I would! Their drive through is always a mess. I was just helped by who I believe to be Adriana(since she isn’t wearing a name tag, I have to go n off of the name on the receipt). Not only was she giving me the wrong combo but was soo rude when asked a question to determine what it is that she was giving me. After being charged for chicken avocado tacos, vi come home to fund that there is no avocado… uggghhhhh! Really? I swear, how I wish there was another option a little closer! Screw this place!

If I could give 0 stars it would. I moved here about 5 months ago and tonight 2÷13÷15 I had a craving for chicken so I came by around 930pm. Had to wait 8 minutes(there was only one car ahead of me by the way) before someone actually spoke to me to take my order. I asked for a number 1, leg and thigh. The girl said«drink, or no drink? I said«no drink» she said something like okay. She didn’t even ask me what sides I wanted so I asked«this combo comes with two sides correct?» She said«yes, what would you like«I asked for mashed potatoes and Macaroni and cheese. I was stunned by how rude she was and didn’t even realize she hadn’t asked me what kind of tortillas I wanted. Which by the way I always get corn. Well, I pulled up to the window, she took my card, gave it back to me, brought out my food and gave it to me. Of course after this horrible rude experience I checked my order to see if everything was in there. As I was looking at my food this girl opens the window, watches me, doesn’t say anything and shuts the window back again. I was like WOW! When I got home I discovered I had received flour tortillas and was very sad, thanks for ruining my food craving El Pollo Loco. This location has the worst service I have ever encountered and the rudest staff. I most certainly will NOT be back. I wish I would have looked to see the girl’s name. So disappointed.
