I don’t normally leave bad reviews but out of all the places I have eaten this one deserves the recognition of being the worst establishment I have ever stepped foot in! So tonight(Wednesday 50 cent oyster night) we decided to go! We arrived a little before 8 and there were a total(including our party of 4) of 10 adults and one small child. We sit down on the patio and ordered our drinks. 2 ordered beer and me and someone else in our party ordered a frozen margarita. This margarita had a small hint of lime but pretty much tasted like water. I didn’t say anything cause I really am one that doesn’t like to complain. I had already decided that if I needed anything else to drink I would order tea and not a 7.99 ice water with lime. We order food and everyone ordered the oysters(ewwww…I hate oysters) and I decided to try the Mahi tacos. The waitress brings out 2 trays of oysters a little while later. Not long after that someone from the kitchen brings out the other tray of oysters and a basket with my tacos and fries. The waitress brings out the other tray of oysters and a bottle of ketchup and leaves my basket on the bar. I had noticed this boy around 10 or so running around inside earlier and it was clear he was someone’s kid that worked there. This boy walks up to the bar and grabs fries out of my basket and starts eating them. At this time the waitress was going back inside. She comes out with my basket and I ask her«who’s kid is that running around inside?» She looks at me dumbfounded. I tell her the reason why I am asking is he was sticking his hand in my basket eating the fries. Her response was«really? Can I get you some more fries! » NO but you can tell that kid to keep his hands out of people’s food! A while later still not believing her reaction… the waitress comes out and I see a man behind the bar. I asked her if that was the owner and she said yes so I told her I would like to speak with him! She goes in and after a couple minutes of them talking he comes out to my table. So I ask the owner who the boy is running around inside eating off people’s plates and he tells me it’s his nephew and he just found out what happened!!! REALLY!!! OK so now I’m getting a little pissed so I also tell him his margaritas(7.99 by the way if you didn’t catch that before) tasted like frozen water. His reply«we have been making them that way for a year and have done just fine!» So I couldn’t contain myself by then and had to say«yeah look how busy you are on 50 cent oyster night… you look like you are doing fine»(yes I can be sarcastic and I don’t mind paying 7.99 for a frozen margarita that actually has tequila in it!) He did take my food off the ticket but was very insincere and a smarta$$ ! So Mr. owner how about I call the health board and report you? Doesn’t really matter with your attitude I can pretty much guarantee you won’t be there this time next year! For any of ya’ll that want great food and margaritas go to Juan Tequilas on hwy 90. Friendly staff, great food and margaritas to die for at 6.99 regular price. Not to mention 2.99 between 11 am and 7 pm because yes their happy hour is that long! Oh yeah great views and I guarantee if that would have happened there they would have bent over backwards to make it right! Yeah I plugged an awesome restaurant! Don’t waste your time with this dive(Eagle Island) and if you do, don’t say I didn’t warn you! He can be proud of one thing he got my first bad review!

Had the boiled shrimp special and two draft beers. Waitress was very friendly. However the beer wasn’t very cold, but the waitress said they had been having problems with it. The shrimp was overcooked and quite mealy. I let the waitress know this and she said she would tell them… but no discount was provided. Most of the shrimp was not eaten. I can’t recommend it.

Very friendly waitress, Wednesday is 50. Cent oysters. We ordered 2 dozen, also a pound of their shrimp boil, and mahi mahi sandwich. Oysters were fresh, shrimp a little small due to early season. The sandwich was excellent, best mahi mahi my husbands had. They have a mahi special all day Friday so give them a try.
