Had two Tortas one Cubana one al pastor to go. The pastor was a bit spicey and greasy for my liking without salsa. my husband loved his Cubana but I found a hair in my lettuce and thankfully I didn’t bite into it

Awesome!!! Handmade corn tortillas and salsas! Birria was bomb and I love that they have cold Mexican coke. Will definitely be returning to try their tripas!

This gem is close by and if I’m hungry and lazy. I will go here. I’m not saying the food is not good because it’s pretty darn good. Although there are times, when I will order the exact item but on another day and it will come out not as good. I suspect it’s because they rotate cooks, I usually like their milanesa tortas but one I ordered it and it was burned and thin as death. My boyfriend loves the whole fried fish from here, but again from time to time, it doesn’t come out as good. I had asada tacos here the other day and they were yummy although they were a bit greasy, they had a nice flavor. I’ve had asada nachos from here which good too. I tried the alhambre with carnitas and it was too greasy for me. The point of this long winded review is to say order the asada tacos, torta, and the fish dish but don’t expect it to be 100% everyday. I would give them a 3 ½ star if I could.

Everything is good homemade tortillas, Menudo weekends only, the only thing I think they can do much better is the salsa either green or red it’s to liquid like if they add to much water and worst when all the time the salsa is super cold ruins the. Taco and makes tortilla soggy

First time here & im not from around here so I really can’t compare it with other places around here, I found this place on Unilocal read the reviews & decided to give it a try for lunch. I love how it’s really clean, friendly ppl … Decided on tacos de Asada & let me just say finger licking & to top it off hand made tortillas, I liked both salsas red & green but gotta say that my fave was the red one. 5’s to this place

I discovered this place when I was tutoring in North LB a few years ago. Luckily it was one of my first Mexican«hidden gem» finds. I have become very spoiled with all the amazing $ 1 tacos all over the southland. This place has no taco Tuesdays and the tacos are about $ 1.50 and it is in a slightly rougher part of town, however if you are a brave culinary adventurer you will know that the ghetto sometimes provides the BEST food finds. (reference Camden, New Jersey) These chicken tacos are the best I have had in southern California! BARNONE. Something unique and alive about the flavoring. This is certainly one of my FAVORITE«off the beaten path» spots in ALLOF L.A. Huge bonus. You wouldn’t expect a mom and pop spot on this side of town to have free wifi… Well, ITDOES! Bonus bonus, it is right next to a GREAT barber shop where you can get authentic east coast fades.

This is a hidden gem place in long beach. The place is small with indoor seatings. The make authentic mexican food with a reasonable price. The Tortas are delicious! I get full after eating one. The nachos are a bit greasy but still good and the portions are pretty big.

Best tacos and tortas in long beach, fresh ingredients and the tortillas are home made. Place is small but is clean and the people who work there are friendly, plus a tv showing world cup games, will be back often.

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants not only in long beach but all of LA county. The tacos are delicious and enormous! All the plates are great. Hand press tortillas! One if the best burritos for $ 5 hands down. Little hard to find and on the wrong side if town but well worth.

I get confused because I’ve been here often and sometimes their pastor is really good but other times it’s so salty that I have to stop eating it(I’ve always gotten wet burritos de pastor) so therefore I cannot leave 5 stars. The parking is pretty annoying too since it’s on a main street and they have no parking lot, so you have to park in the residential area like a block away.

I love that the tortillas are handmade and also there salsa too. Tacos are $ 1.25 each and I get Al Pastor, chorizo, tongue, and goat.

If you’re coming down to Cuernavaca’s Grill I encourage you to order an Alambre! It’s seriously the best thing they have! Your choice of meat, bacon bits, onions, & green bell peppers. Served with Hand Made warm tortillas it definitely hits the spot! The beans they serve are not that great & neither is the rice, but hey, it isn’t bad to have it with your delicious Alambre. Enjoy!

So my sister recommended this spot. I’ve seen it many times over when I’d go to the barber shop next door. We originally headed there for the tacos. My sister told me that they hand make all their tortillas for each taco as you wait. Sure enough that’s what I witnessed. I personally ordered their torta de carnitas. I’ve had some great tortas throughout the years. This one can easily feed two hungry adults. It was massive. The tacos were pretty good from what I heard. Apparently, our order was so large that the guy recommended we call our order in ahead of time. That was cool.
