Charles at CJ Air installed my central AC and heat and did a fantastic job! I had gotten 3 quotes prior to finding Charles, all of which were double what I had researched should be the case for my size home and the scope of work. I was beginning to think that I would never be able to have what I wanted. Then I called Charles. He was very responsive, set the appointment for later in the week and gave me a VERY fair quote. When it came time to schedule and get the job done, he and his team were on time, quick, clean and efficient and extremely professional. After going 6+ years in a historical craftsmen with lap and plaster construction, and the change in climate in California causing me to roast in the evenings in the summers, I was in heaven! Charles came back and installed fans on the roof to help manage AC costs and then came back and covered them to protect from the rain. He checks in with me frequently to see how the unit is working and I have no hesitation that I can count on him if there ever is an issue. I have and will continue to recommend Charles to friends and family — made my experience a great one!!!

Charles of CJ Air Conditioning & Heating came out to check out my why my air conditioner wasn’t turning on. The unit is nearly 20 years old so I figured I would need a new a/​c unit. All I needed was a thermostat and it was fixed. I appreciate the honesty and integrity of CJ Air Conditioning and Heating.

CJ made an appointment to change the thermostat on my system but he did not show up. Period, no call from him, «I can’t make the appointment» just nothing. When I called him to find out what the problem was, he wouldn’t even answer his cell phone. I left a message. Nothing. Be forewarned, after giving him your money, don’t ever expect to hear back from him, ever!

I called Charles on two occasions after the install and he failed to respond to both messages. Nice guy and crew, so I’m confused by the lack of concern. I had to call another service for answers. Fair price, fast install.

CJ Air Conditioning and Heating did a fantastic job installing in our home. The price was good. The crew was on time, polite and very efficient. After a few quick days we now have a great system in place, no more dying in the heat waves! I definitely recommend CJ.

I had 3 estimates to install new heating and Central Air in my house. Following a recomendation from a friend I called Charles. he came out the next day and gave me a quote. He was a bit cheaper than the others, but really impressed me with his knowledge. He explained all the differences in the units and made me feel comfortable. He ended up installing a 3 ton unit in my attic, and I couldnt be happier. The whole system works flawlessly and he did a great job, and in three days! I would recomend Charles to anyone who is looking for any Heat/​Air work.
He also included Asbestos Abatement in the deal, and installed all new ducts/​vents. Now I am Asbestos free :)

CJ Air Conditioning and Heating did a great job for a system they installed in December 2013. Their costs were competitive, and they were on schedule. The project was very challenging due to weird attic crawl spaces and unique ceilings in my 1928 Spanish style home in Belmont Shore. The crew was very professional. The system works extremely well. I’ve been cold every winter for the past seven years, and it’s really nice to be cozy for a change. I tested the A/​C system as well, and it’s A-​OK. My architect also commented about the professional workmanship that CJ provided. I’d recommend CJ any day.

We used this heating and air conditioning service (CJ Air) this year and had a lot of problems with his service and follow up. The air conditioner and heating unit never worked properly. We had to hire another contractor at an additional expense to finally get it to work. CJ did come back once to try to fix the problem but didn’t stay more than 45 mins total and it still didn’t work. The new contractor took 4 visits to repair it correctly. I will never use CJ’s services ever again and was extremely unhappy with his service. I was told by another contractor that he was known for his «shoddy workmanship» (his own words).
