Had another wonderful meal here tonight. Especially enjoyed the wing special. Also delicious mussels and great service by waitress Missy who has a great personality adding to an all round delightful dining experience. Owner Rich supervising on hand sure doesn’t hurt either. I can work my way through their menu. Also had the brisket quesadilla and the Nonnas sauce last week. 2 good Italian cooks both said the same thing«tastes just like mine» and you can’t get better then that.

This place has the best happy hour. Cheap pints l, wine, & personal pies. Can’t beat that. Great selection on beers and wines. Never had anything I didn’t like here. The burgers are good but order up. Medium = rare and don’t put it down you’ll never get it back up.

I have been to brixx and barley multiple times and loved it. However this time I was very unhappy with my experience. The waitress Lily that served us showed no interest in helping us. I ordered a steak Caesar salad wrap which I’ve ordered there many times and when she came out with our food she gave me a salad and told me they don’t make wraps. I told her that I’ve gotten wraps there before and she continued to tell me they don’t make them and was very rude about it. Meanwhile she never mentioned that when I ordered my food. She also did not mention that steak was an additional $ 7. Overall I was just very disappointed because every other time I’ve been happy with my experience there.

This place is exactly what they advertise it to be. Wings are amazing for not being deep fried. Sandwiches are great– Get the porchetta– it’s $$$. Fantastic beer list. The pizza is solid and creative.

This place has excellent food. It usually has a solid wait though and gets very crowded. Huge restaurant too. Great place to watch sports as it has many TVs.

I would love to keep this a hidden gem, away from you fellow Unilocalers. but i am obligated to share it with you. This is one of the best place ive ever been to and I may have to eat here once a week for the rest of my LIFE. The atmosphere is very welcoming and great for a date night with friends/significant others, bringing out the family or even for a few brews with the brahs. I know all of those are different ends on the sunday funday wheel of fortune but this place found the perfect balance. They have a great selection of Italian/american dishes, and arguably has the best pizza in new york. Yes its true long island has better pizza than NYC #2016 They have a good selection of mixed drinks and a longgg list of craft beers. The service was outstanding, accommodating and could not have been better. The general manager Samantha was there the night a few couples and I attended. From the moment we walked in she was funny, welcoming and a great host. This was great after having a miserable experience at Pop’s Seafood Shack(only stop there to use the bathroom, even that is prob dirty). We ordered 4 large pies of pizza, all amazing. We also ordered skirt steak, chicken picatta, grandmas meatballs, tossed calamari, rice balls and wings. Everything was far above average and very fairly priced. Just go, you wont regret it.

Brixx and Barley is the perfect place to take friends and family while in town. The restaurant is casual without being too laid back and there’s something for everyone on the menu! The buffalo chicken pizza and the chicken bacon ranch are my favorite pies in Long Beach.

Been here a few times and have had a great time each time. Tonight me and my friend shared a pitcher of sangria. It is sweet and delicious. I had the lobster tortelloni which was so filling but yummy. My friend got the wings plus a meat and cheese board. She couldnt finish it because she filled up on the bread for the table which was fresh out the oven and so good. My other friend got a meatball appetizer and the pork dish for entrée. Great experience all the way around.

Came to Brixx & Barley for my brother’s birthday Saturday night. There was decent amount of parking across the street which is nice for Long Beach. Inside it’s very laid back and casual with TV’s everywhere. To me it has a little bit of a wannabe gastropub feel. Ordered a margarita pie with sausage, Dr. Pepper BBQ wings & maple bacon wings to start. A regular margarita pie came out first, had to send the girl back and told her we ordered sausage. Then we got a meatball pie at first we just thought the sausage looked a bit different, but no it was meatball. Our waiter came back and asked if we would like a sausage pie or just keep the meatball. Well we wanted what we ordered so we asked for the sausage pie. The pizza itself was decent, fresh mozz with good flavor, the crust was very thin. The wings came grilled and I personally liked the Dr. Pepper BBQ ones over the maple bacon, but others at the table didn’t agree with me so try for yourself. The maple bacon wings come with pieces of bacon sprinkled on top. I ordered the chicken tower which had grilled chicken layered with fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, chicken cutlets, and eggplant caponata with scampi sauce. The portion was large, and I enjoyed it, but it needed a lot more eggplant(barely had any) and when I got the dish I thought it would be more of a shrimp scampi sauce, but it was just a light tomato sauce so that threw me for a loop. Still good though. My sister’s salad looked sad, and they messed up the temperature’s of two burgers at the table(luckily the waiter took care of our order of chicken wings because of it). I liked my dish, but I probably would look else where to eat.

Ordered the Park Avenue burger with tots: Angus burger topped with filet mignon, caramelized onions & horseradish cream cheese $ 16. I asked for the burger medium and got it medium rare/rare. The burger fell apart while eating it, and there was barely any of the horseradish cream cheese. The filet mignon wasn’t that great and I ended up eating half of the burger patty with a knife and fork, but didn’t get through the rest because of it being so undercooked. The meatball margarita pie to start was better than my dinner.

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon for a bite to eat. It was a gorgeous day in Long Beach and after a very productive morning I was looking forward to some pizza! Food: I ordered the Pollo Piazza(chicken, spinach, mozzarella and vodka sauce) while my friend ordered the Grandma’s Smashed Meatball(sunday sauce, mozzarella and grated romano). The pies are 12″ and definitely enough for one person or even to share if you aren’t as hungry but want to pick with some drinks.(large beer on tap selection) I was overall pleased with my pizza. The flavor of the vodka sauce was good and the chicken wasn’t fatty or chewy. The crust was crispy except for the middle which was a bit soggy and could have been a little crispier. I also tried my friends and was more impressed with the flavors of hers than mine. I would definitely go back and next time try the lobster mac n cheese. I can see how some people get confused as to what direction this place is really going in. To me it’s less of an italian place and more about good bar food. In addition to the pizzas they have wings, burgers and sandwiches. Service: This is where they really dropped the ball for me. The service was really lacking for me. The place is large but only a few tables were occupied– maybe three. DEFINITELY were no excuses for poor service. We were waiting for our waitress to come by for more napkins and the check etc. and ended up having to wave her down to come over when there were barely any people there !! Atmosphere: Loved the chill music that was playing and the openness of the space. I would’ve loved the option of sitting outside but I’m assuming once the summer comes this is something they will have available? OVERALL: I would definitely go back for a happy hour or casual meal. The food was good but didn’t blow me away. I would say 3.5 stars

A review here is long overdue! We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. I have to say this place has got to be the best in Long Beach. The staff was very friendly and attentive to us. It was fairly crowded yet the place is very well organized and very clean. Our group had a variety of pies and various appetizers as well as sandwiches. I like to pick and try a bit of everything. The pies were perfect we had the Firenza, Di Parma and Margherita. The rice balls were amazing as was everything else. The wine list was great, drink menu had many choices all looked delish. Friendly bar and servers. Pleasant music not too loud. Casual place as are most in the area. Parking was not a problem at all. Would recommend to anyone and will be returning for those lobster rolls.

I came here for Sunday brunch with a friend. Interesting experience to say the least. We wanted a lively drunken brunch, but there was a family party going on. Turn up. Our server rubbed us the wrong way from the get and things just got worse as the meal went on. The menu here for brunch is crazy. They have a plethora of options from bananas fosters pizza to brick oven pizza, «jacked stacks,» their creative pancakes on steroids; crazy creations like the French toast bacon, egg and cheeseburger aka as a heart attack, crabcake benedict, chicken and waffle, a burger bar and more. We ordered mimosas which came in huge wine glasses, but were only filled up to a quarter of the glass. Strike 1. The service took way too long and they were not that busy. We brought this to our servers attention only to be told that they were busy that day. They really weren’t. He was one of a few servers so that might not have been an issue, but busy? Not so much. Strike 2. The restaurant was practically empty besides that one group and a few people here and there. My friend told me the waiter rolled his eyes as he walked away. Strike 2.75. Anyway, my friend ordered the s’mores stacked, a diabetic stack of chocolate covered and drizzled pancakes with marshmellows and more chocolate on the side while I got the chicken and waffles. Our food finally came out, except not really. My friend’s food came out and I got the muscle beach platter: egg whites, avocado, turkey bacon and tomato which was NOT my order. Couldn’t have been far from it. So then I had to wait longer for my food. Finally my correct order came. We started eating and the food was really good. Well, mine was. My friend’s was really diabetes on a platter. The manager passed by asking if everything was alright. At this point, I had my food so I was over everything that had happened up until that point. My friend on the other hand mentioned it all to her, minus the eye roll(she wasn’t trying to get him fired). To make a long story short, we ended up getting full glasses of complimentary mimosas and two $ 20 gift cards which we used to pay for our meal. So the meal ended up being free and we have money leftover that I will be using tonight for dinner tonight weeks later to try their infamous pizza. I give them 3 starts, because my experience was right in the middle. Service sucked, but food was good and we were taken care of so… try it out of yourself.

Tried this place for Brunch a few weeks ago, I wasn’t impressed. The service was extremely slow for a Sunday, not to mention prime time for brunch go-ers Our waitress brought out the wrong drinks and asked if we still wanted to take it since they already made it for our table?!? I didn’t think that was right at all. One guest ordered a chicken sandwich on a waffle which was way over salted and greasy. I wouldn’t come back to this place, at least not for brunch anyways.

Brixx and Barley… pizza and beer? Nope, not just pizza and beer! The beer selection is very good. the pizza selection is good too. The pizza is a 3 to 4. Tasty, good crust, but nothing to write home about. The burgers, yes burgers, are good. The kids burger is as large as the adult burger, & the burger is huge. A+ there. Good bun too. My 9 year old daughter said the bun is «too big». The beef ragu was fantastic. Tender meat, decent serving size. The place is kid friendly. Give it a try.

Our seating was a little slow for a brunch that was literally dead but our server was really nice and our food was out quick. We had the home made sangria which was a little on the too sweet side. But one bottle have the two of us three drinks each which was fair. They have beer flights that I can’t wait to try! Appetizer — Lobster Mac and cheese was delicious– I’d order three just for myself! Although one serves two. There’s more sausage than chunks of lobster but the Mac is baked with a layer of bread crumbs and it’s super filling! Meal — Honey Sriracha wings are a must order! Garlic parm was okay not as good compared to the honey. I can’t wait to come back their menu is insane but the check in going to be too!

Brixx and Barley has a varied and extensive menu with daily specials and happy hour. The atmosphere is family friendly and comfortable. A separate pizzeria with take out and delivery. Located within walking distance of the boardwalk and short distance to LIRR. It is currently my favorite local spot. I have been going there on and off for years. Many happy hours, lunches, dinners and recently brunch. I love the many choices the brunch menu offers. So many places have a limited menu for brunch so this is refreshing. We all enjoyed our dishes, it comes with a free mimosa or Bloody Mary and for an extra $ 15 it can be endless. I passed on the endless drinks because I was driving. being the wings are not fried, don’t forget to order them well done, I forgot. There are many different flavors to choose from, the crushed pineapple jalapeño are sweet with a mild bite. I ordered the The chicken and waffles, it was really good. It came with three pieces of crispy on the bone chicken and a light and an airy waffle drizzled with maple syrup. I got to taste the bacon Mac n cheese on toast, it was spectacular!!! I am sad I didn’t order it. The avocado toast was yummy, too. My niece said the crabcake Benedict was really good with the mango horseradish. The pita egg sandwich with potatoes was gigantic. Overall a great time, we even had a two year with us and it was fine she was running around the restaurant waving hi to the customers. Our servers were seasoned and courtesy. It’s a good choice for all occasions.

Stopped by for dinner /drinks with the girls after a long night of apartment hunting… It was exactly what we needed. Cute tavern ambiance with plenty of seating and an extensive menu with TONS of veggie friendly options(not to mention the complimentary garlic bread… yummy). I tried their house hard cider which was awesome, followed by the lettuce wrap which was so unique! The wrap came out similar to a taco in two parts with avocado, cheese, arugula, cherry tomato and mango salsa. They were AWESOME! Neat to see something different under the healthy menu options. That being said, we did order a pizza to split as an appetizer so I guess it was good to choose a ‘healthy’ entrée. All around great time — I will definitely be back.
