I’ve been going to Dana for more years than I can remember… it’s got to be close to 2 digits now. After trying many other salons, I started going to Dana after my sister recommended and she is the only one I’ve stuck with for this long. My hair is frizzy and there are lots of it and Dana gets it right every time. The mini head/​neck massage in the beginning is the best. Started taking my mom to Dana for cut and color and she loves it also. She has black hair and there are so many ways coloring it can go wrong… but Dana gets it right every time for her also. We drive an hour each way just to see Dana… that’s how much we love going to her.
For anyone thinking about going to Dana, just go! You won’t regret.

Dana has been cutting my hair for over three years now… I will not go to anyone else! I work for three young adults with developmental disabilities and they too refuse to get there hair done by anyone else. A lovely, quaint little suite, great price per cut… we enjoy visiting monthly!

The year was 1997, manic panic dye and Meg Ryan cuts were all the trend, yes I had both and yes that’s how long I’ve had Dana cutting my hair! Thankfully my tastes have changed, and with every change Dana was always able to make it look great. She is especially talented with blondes. I am always receiving compliments on the color and questions on who cuts my hair. I am proud to recommend Dana, I’ve followed her from shop to shop, I’ve driven hours when I didn’t live near, and once waited close to a year to have her cut my hair when I had to move out of state, she’s just that good! Plus she’s lovely to talk to and will make you laugh and feel comfortable. Her new private little space is perfect. You don’t have to feel like you are in a large social gathering, you can relax and have your own hair time. I’m writing this because Dana deserves the accolades and success, however secretly, I don’t want to share!

Dana has been cutting and coloring my hair for over 15 years, and I don’t let anyone else touch it, because the few times that I have I’ve always been disappointed. Dana is a genius with scissors and color. I’ve had so many lengths and styles over the years from elbow-​length to short bobs and pixie cuts and she can do it all! You will not be disappointed!

I’ve been going to Dana for more years than I can count– she’s that awesome. Through my many style and taste changes I’ve stuck with Dana because she can quite literally do it all. She’s super talented, well informed, comfortable and fun to be around and has an excellent memory (not only is she so kind to follow up on stories I’ve told her, but she always remembers the little nuances of my hair, like how my it’s a little thicker on one side and that my hairline is low at the back so she has to cut it a certain way so it grows out well.) And speaking of growing out well, my hair looks good at ALL stages– both fresh cut and 8 weeks out and overdue for a trim – I think that’s a testament to her attention to detail and skill. I get compliments on it regularly. I’ve referred many friends to her and they’ve become her regulars as well.
Bonus: she always has excellent travel tips and suggestions!
Dana simply can’t be beat. One visit and I’m sure you’ll be a devotee too.

Dana is by far the best hair stylist around!!! I started going to Dana 2 years ago and none of my previous stylists even come close to her perfect cuts! She is up to date on all the latest styles and she’s so personable and kind… a pleasure to be around while getting your hair done.
I think it speaks measures about Dana’s cuts and colors when I receive weekly compliments on my hair from complete strangers! The bottom line… you won’t find a better hair stylist… Dana is the best there is.

Dana is a gem. In the intimate atmosphere of a private salon room, you have a hair dresser here who actually listens to your hair troubles and instantly knows what to do, no matter how difficult your nature given topical situation.
The space immediately communicates her sense of style and eclectic aesthetic, which is expressed in the way she applies her craft to each customer.
Not to mention that Dana is an extremely nice person, genuine, completely cool, and rad. Just a cherry on top.
I have shopped around plenty in Long Beach, and can say with confidence: Don’t be a fool, make your next hair appointment here.

I’ve been going to Dana for too many years to count! I’ve been through many styles with her over the years and she always sees my vision regarding cut and color. The last few years my hair had stopped growing and breaking off in one area. She has always been careful just to give me the slightest trim when necessary and is able to even out my hair to make the breakage unnoticeable.
My boys see Dana as well and she gives them amazing cuts!
Bouffant Salon is Dana’s own private space that she has decorated so cute. It’s inviting and comfortable and I love every couple of months when my appointment rolls around.

Bouffant Salon is a unique salon in the sense that it’s a one chair space. It’s modern and has a great vibe! I love that the client can deal directly with the stylist in every aspect; ie scheduling appts. I’ve been a client of Dana Vecchione’s for over 10 years. I was out to dinner one night, saw a girl with super cute hair and got a card for her hair stylist; that’s how my life (and hair) was forever changed by Dana. I must say also, I get SO many compliments on both my hair cut and color. I’ve been stopped on the street and asked where I get my hair done. To me, this speaks volumes of Dana’s talent. Not only is Dana a genius colorist and stylist, she’s very personable and professional. I would recommend her to anyone. Just amazing!

Let us begin with the atmosphere. This is a private space that enables you to enjoy getting your hair done without the chaos of being in a gigantic salon. The décor is amazing and you feel special because your being privately catered to. I recently decided to cut all my hair off and make it short, but was very nervous. The results were amazing and I get compliments right and left. I also got highlights for summer, and they turned out exactly how I wanted, natural but noticeable. All in all you will have an amazing experience, and feel like a million bucks when you leave. Five stars in my books!

Bouffant Salon is a perfectly quaint little space for AMAZING cut and color. Cute, private space with all the amenities that you would need in a hair salon.
Dana is a genius when it comes to getting it right every time, which I supposed is why I have been «seeing» Dana every six weeks for about 12 years now. I have a lot of dark brown, straight hair that tends to get a little brassy but Dana keeps it under control. She is very accommodating with my schedule and is always a blast to spend 3 hours with. =)

Love Dana! Was referred to her and I am so happy to have found her. Been in LB for just over a year & was still going to my out of town hair stylist for fear of not finding someone out here. Nervous because I have temperamental hair & a lot of grays. Dana made me feel very comfortable immediately asking me all sorts of questions about color & styles. She’s very friendly & it was easy to keep up conversation while she worked. Color came out perfect & I just lovethe cut she gave me. It’s easier to style & the color is holding up awesome! I also really like the private suites in this salon. You don’t have distractions from other clients, stylist and it feels more personable. Definitley going back!

Dana did a fantastic job on my hair– definitely coming back! My hair is very fine and Dana was very careful not to add too much bleach, something that has broken my hair before at other salons. The salon is awesome and each stylist has his/​her own room, which is great it you don’t like being surrounded by other hairstylist and their hairdryers being blown on your face.

Sam is the best! He’s been doing my hair for many years. I know I can go to him to just make me look good. Now um finally coloring my hair to get the gray out and I seriously was dreading it… But my hair looks better than ever. I also have been bringing my son to Sam for years. I know he will always get the coolest teen hairdo! Now my boyfriend goes to Sam… soon everyone will go to him. He us a hair genius!
