Small Park on San Antonio between Orange and Atlantic Blvd. The wifee and I took the lil one for a stroll in the stroller As small and sort of hidden as this park is there still managed to be the token homeless guy sleep under a tree… How does the homeless guy decide which park to sleep under the tree??? there’s plenty of options… not that I have anything against homeless guys but Im very curious on the decision making process of which park has the best tree to sleep under???

A small, quiet, tree-shaded park just off Orange and San Antonio drives, Bixby Knolls Park is the perfect little spot for some hot Frisbee action. Remaining uncrowded much of the time, the flat, grass-covered lawns provide the ideal room for laying down a spin on your throwing disk without fear of bonking some gorilla on the head or running over little untethered tykes chasing Fifi and Marmaduke. Planting your face in the ground while taking a spill is cushioned by the soft green grass of Long Beach. Other than Frisbee, this location is great for a short walk in the park, BBQ’g on the grills or minding the little ones using the fenced-in playground equipment under large oaks and conifers. Picnic tables provide a convenient spot for family gatherings to set the potato salad. Now and then, a big jacaranda frames the scene in a picture-perfect display of purple blooms. P. S., you might want to avoid parking under the jacarandas… they can get rather messy on that brand new Mercedes SKS paint job. Just sayin’.
