This chick is Awesomesauce as a stylist! Never fails me! She is creative, technically outstanding and soooooo sweet. I get more compliments on my hair from strangers than with any other stylist! You can’t go wrong here.

This is an update to my earlier review from 7÷29÷13. I was really, really unhappy at the customer service when trying to redeem my Living Social voucher. I am still really, really unhappy about it. Although, I tried to schedule 3 times, talking to reception twice – who said they’d get back to me, I never did get a call back.
I wasn’t going to let it go to waste so I at least redeemed the paid value for a shampoo, cut, style.
Arlene did a fine job and was very personable. Her service was probably 4 stars but with 2 stars for poor salon service and just being unhappy about the situation it averages to 3.

I’m fairly new to Long Beach and was dreading looking for a new stylist (ladies, you know what I’m talking about). I found Arlene through an online deal (always a gamble) and am SO happy I did! I was pleased to learn upon meeting her for the first time that she specializes in short cuts, which I have, and she treated me like I’ve known her forever. She gave me a super cute cut that still looks great after over a month of grow out (a lot for short do’s) and fun highlights, which I was nervous about because I didn’t want them to be super chunky, but she totally listened to what I wanted and gave me something subtle but funky. Her regular service rates are really affordable too! Really grateful to have found an awesome stylist on the first try.

By far the best stylist I’ve ever had. She always gets my color perfect. I have long hair and when I say I just want a trim she really gives me just a trim. I love the time spent in her chair, we always have great conversations. You should get an appointment with Arlene … you will never be disappointed.

SHE MAKES MAGIC HAPPEN!
Seriously, her hands work miracles! The best in Long Beach – won’t trust my locks to any other. I’m constantly getting questioned «where did you get your hair done» and for this reason I have to carry this girls business card around! Even on those days when I’m not feeling so hot, I get hair complements! It makes a girls day ;) I could recommend anyone without the fear of disappointment. Even when I’m having a bad hair day or it’s grown out it still looks great.

I don’t write alot of reviews but when you find the best, you gotta shout it out! Arlene always gives me awesome suggestions when I’m in the mood to change things up. I really appreciate being able to rely upon her to keep me modern and hip. She constantly has new hair product to play with and takes the time to show me how to use them correctly. I have a job where I have to look professional during the day but Arlene always hooks me up with a style that I can transform at night. Keeping the fun alive!!! Great salon atmosphere and the most comfortable shampoo bowls ever!!!

I’ve been going to Arlene for 7 years & by far, she’s been the best hair dresser I’ve EVER had! Rockin’, conservative, moderate, stylish, fresh… whatever your little head desires, she’s got ya’ covered! There have been times where I’ve felt awkward sitting in the stylist’s chair… trying to find something to say… but with Arlene, she totally makes you feel comfortable… like you’ve known her forever! She takes pride in knowing the latest styles, techniques & products out there. Give her a try… you won’t be disappointed!

Seriously the best! I am not in Long Beach often but I always try to schedule an appointment with Arlene whenever I am in town. She really understands hair, is up to date with the latest trends and she is so great about remembering the little personal preferences. Whenever I need suggestions, she always has good advice that is right for my type of hair and personal style. I’ve heard she does incredible color and cuts for women too.
