I’ve been using Abrams & Clark for the past 2 – 3 months to fill two prescriptions that require… a lot of effort. But the kind workers here are always up to the task of putting it in. They call my doctors, their offices, LA County — whoever they need to in order to see to it that the inevitable issues financing my prescription get resolved. None of the problems are ever on their end, mind you, and they could easily pass off the hard work onto me. But they don’t. In fact, today — they went so far as to drop off a very-necessary prescription right to my door because my doctor wasn’t able to square things away with them until very late and I was unable to get to them myself. It’s this kind of caring, dedicated service that has clients coming back again and again vs bigger pharmacies. In addition to filling prescriptions, they have various other products such as basic first aid, supplements, braces and supports, personal care products. According to a posting in the store, they also are able to compound medications for pets! This place is a Long Beach Gem, make no mistake!

Came to this location because it was recommended by my doctor. Called ahead and they were very friendly and helpful. The lady who helped me in the store while purchasing an orthopedic boot was great! However, I wore the boot out of the store, not told that I would not be able to return it if something happens. The manager told me over the phone that it was common sense that if I wore it out of the store that I would not be able to return it. I understand that policy but I wish the woman who would have sold me the boot would have told me this ahead of time. I literally wore it to my car and into my home, where I took it off. Then received a call from my doctor telling me that he had one for me and see if the one I purchased could be returned. I explained my situation to the manager and she was very unprofessional, claiming once again that it was common sense that if I wore it out of the store I could not return it. In a professional setting, telling a customer something is common sense, it’s basically telling them that they’re an idiot. I’m not a medical professional, so I don’t know how everything works. She told me that she would be at a loss because she wouldn’t have been able to sell it. I understand her point but her rudeness of the situation made it to where I will NEVER visit this pharmacy again. I would have been more accepting of her answer if she was friendlier. Whenever I visit mom and pop stores of likely kind, I always expect genuine hospitality. I definitely didn’t get it here. The goal is to get people to keep coming back, no matter how small or large a loss is but it’s obvious that these people only have one concern… Money.

Buyer Beware! Very nice and helpful when you’re in for the purchase, but LOOKOUT if you want to return an item. Purchased a bedrail($ 98) which didn’t work out for my elderly mother. Took the item back, in the original box, packaging and with the receipt 6 days later. First story, they could not refund until they verified the check had cleared. We verified in the store via mobile banking, check had cleared days earlier. Second story, only owner could issue cash refunds, and the owner wasn’t there. Third story, «store policy» is that any refund over $ 50 has to be by check, not cash. They would mail the check on Monday as the owner was on vacation for the week. Following week, by Thursday and no check, we called. Now the«bookkeeper» was out to lunch, we’ll have him call you when he gets back. A couple hours later without a call, called back. Now the bookkeeper may not be back today, they didn’t know for sure. «You’ll need to call back tomorrow… That’s the best we can do for you». Apparently Abrams & Clark doesn’t like to give refunds. So, if you are positive the product will suit your needs, by all means, make the purchase. If you may need to return the product and expect a timely refund, RUN, RUN, RUN the other way!

I recently had neck surgery and it is time for me to transition from that big clunky neck brace to something that is smaller and softer. I drive by Abrams & Clark a lot and I decided to stop in and check out their selection of soft collars. They had a great selection. I think it was around 4 different styles of soft collars and they also had a ton of other things like canes and other medical supplies. The gal that helped me out was very nice and pointed me to the collar that was on sale first and I am glad she did because that saved me an extra $ 15. It was nice to even get help. I have no clue how many times I have aimlessly roamed the aisles of Walgreens or CVS and never saw an employee much less got help from one. Check this place out, if they don’t have what you need they can probably order it for you.

This place stands head and shoulder above the big chains. You just can’t beat quality service and sincere human interaction. What else can I say. The big chains don’t care about you and they don’t need your money. I have since moved out of the neighborhood, but yet I continue to come back to patronize this establishment.

I hate pharmacies and unfortunately I need to use them. I worked for CVS for 6 years and agree with the many complaints I’ve heard about the lack of customer service at most locations. I was lucky to find one in Redondo Beach that took great care of me but the drive just wasn’t worth it anymore so i decided to look for a local independent pharmacy. I am very happy with my choice! I believe the pharmacist is the owner and his daughter’s work there in the front. I am happy with their service and selection in the store. Plenty of parking in the rear(drive down the alley) They are not open on the weekends but knowing that I am at a pharmacy which values customer service totally makes up for that. No more chain pharmacies for me ever again!

Great people and excellent service. This is my one and only pharmacy and I look forward to being with them for many more years.

(No more pharmacy reviews, I promise… you should know where to get your drugs by now!) I’m a gal that loves to spoil herself. This comes from living a mostly Spartan lifestyle and now finding I can afford to do many of those things I couldn’t do in the past and buying the things I really enjoy… like good down comforters and pillows. I love being buried beneath a mountain of down comfort. You could smother me to death in down bedding and they’d find my corpse with a shit-eating grin on my face. So what’s this to do with a medical supply outlet? Well, when you’re in need of medical or health supplies and your hospital won’t give you what you need or your insurance company won’t cover anything but the bare minimum, I go here and they meet MY needs and wants. Abrams & Clark is an easy to find, easy to browse, cornucopia of surgical supplies, orthopedic braces, supports and anything you could possibly need in a pharmacy. Their primary mission is not in sales of cheap greeting cards, sugary soda pop, plastic clothes hangers and junk food but in meeting every possible pre and post surgical need you may have. Sooner or later, you or someone close to you is going to break something, it’s only a matter of time. And when you do, you don’t want to have to make repeat trips to the infirmary or listen to another dumb-ass pre-recorded message from your insurance company saying you’ve already met your allocation for bandages, bracing or Bactrin. Having a long history in emergency medicine, I’ve set broken bones, staunched blood flow and chilled the panicked long before an RA or paramedic shows up, if ever… comes from working in some austere locations and my independent nature. I’m a Good Samantha and won’t wait for others to do their job or waste time listening to pre-recorded messages. So when you need medical supplies and you’re in the LBC, check out this place. If the wide array of health-care products doesn’t impress you, the friendliness of the staff should. And though I pray you won’t ever have a need for them, it’s really only a matter of time… trust me. P. S., and should you ever find yourself riding shotgun with me, don’t you fret. I may drive scary fast but you’re in excellent hands. I have a mountain of emergency medical equipment, know how to use it and I love to spoil myself.
