Really good food, much better than expected in a hotel restaurant. Service was exceptional(thanks Maggie) ambiance was chill and quiet. Good for groups or special occasions. I had the tenderloin medallions which were fantastic. The Brussel sprouts were on point as well.

I had the best dinner here last night. I was a little hesitant because of some past reviews, so glad I tried it anyway! I had the Cesar salad, the cedar plank salmon(cooked perfectly and perfectly seasoned), the most delicious mushroom risotto and broccolini. The service was great too Thank you Christian, Ben and Nikki for a great experience. From what I understand there is a new chef! Give them a try! I highly recommend.

Mediocre at best. Panko crusted bone in pork chop was cooked just right but poorly seasoned. They ran out of mash potatoes so they substituted french fries. Ribs were OK but the accompanying colesslaw had too much mayo. Simply uninspired food.

So I am not sure if we went on a off night or what but we first had the baked goat cheese, it was okay, could use more flavor. Then I had the chicken tortilla soup which was pretty good actually. Last I tried the beef short rib parpadelle, which was not good. The beef was very over cooked!!! So we may try this place one more time, definitely other places I’d rather go. Also our server was very slow and seemed new seeing she didn’t even know the menu! Oh well.

This restaurant is much better than your typical hotel restaurant. First of all, it has a really nice set-up with a nice bar at the front with capable and friendly bartenders. Also, there seems to be strong management because the managers are always walking around, pitching in, etc. This goes for the restaurant portion also. The actual restaurant set-up is nice too and there is also a patio area which is great to sit in for breakfast in the summer(before it gets too hot outside) and I am sure at nite if they bring out heat lamps. The food is decent without being great. The hamburger did not have much flavor and seemed like it was a frozen patty, probably of decent quality but there was minimal flavor. This could easily be enhanced by bringing in some fresh chuck and adding some spices. The fries were excellent though and were cooked perfectly. The breakfast frittata was super good! It was served with arugula on top. I would definitely go for this if you are looking for a nice breakfast that is neither to heavy nor too lite. Other breakfast items were fine as well. The staff will go out of their way to make sure you get what you are looking for to start your day well. Amit will surely make you omelets, eggs, and waffles expertly and with a smile!

I ordered room service as I was staying at the Marriott. The food was quick and hot. The mushroom risotto was well made(not chalky) and had a good flavor. The crème brûlée was super good and I can have it again and again. I got the brussel sprouts which were bland, i think they were steamed while I was told it would be sauteed. And less stars for minimal vegetarian opions :(.

Veronica Solis creates the best eggs I’ve EVER tasted! I highly recommend her over easy eggs or omelettes!

I eat here when staying at the Mariott but it is very worthy for non-guest. Every dinner here has been outstanding. Surprising great good and definitely not the typical hotel establishment The green chili risotto is outstanding! I wish I could make it this well at home

Enjoyed breakfast. Carlos, the omelette guy, is quite friendly — and makes good omelettes of course– Nothing like dealing with positive people just before breakfast.

My friends and I stayed for dinner after a fabulous event put on by the restaurant so feel left down staying for dinner. Maybe the chef had left things to different«late night» chef… but we just had to review the dinner part as it was sub par. They didn’t have enough staff, food took forever, and everyone at the table had complaints(buns for the burgers were stale, what they called a flatbread was appalling… a long cracker with tomatoes and mozzarella drizzled with some dressing… it was no Margaretha, some folks had delays getting their food. The prices were high for what was served. Posting this in hopes that they fix their menu and provide better service because we love the location, ambiance and do want to come back.

So happy this place was open on Christmas day! Something different than Chinese! The brunch options were fantastic, and the service(for the most part) was spot on. My only gripe? The service was rushing us a bit to order and then to give us our check. It wasn’t like there was a line out the door. Let us enjoy the ambience for a couple more seconds please ;)

We met for a business lunch here and it is a beautiful space that wasn’t overly crowded. Our group straggled in and so we weren’t the most cohesive table. Appetizers were ordered — mussels with black garlic, pretzel bites with beer-cheese sauce and butternut arrancini’s. The mussels had a nice flavor and broth but we could have used some bread to soak up the sauce. The pretzels seemed like they were coated in oil and it was a little off putting visually but tasty. And the arrancini’s had a nice crisp but could have used a hit of salt. We were chatting so the waitress kept her distance. Respectful but we had to ask to place our lunch order. I ordered the butternut, goat cheese and arugula flatbread minus the meat. It was a tasty dish. My colleagues all seemed to enjoy their food as well.

Made reservations for Christmas and when we arrived were told that Christmas dinner wasn’t being served until after 5pm. So we had to order from the regular lunch menu of soup, salad and sandwiches. The staff was rude and unfriendly. Our waitress took forever to even take our order so another waiter ended up helping us instead. When she found out he «stole» her table, I actually witnessed her pitch a fit! My dad ordered soup and they brought him the wrong kind. My main course was supposed to be a garden vegetable pasta bake and what I got was overcooked penne with cold Parmesan cheese on top and no sauce whatsoever. I took one bite and sent it back. My son’s kids meal dinner was more appetizing. This place was a huge disappointment on every level.

Good food. Not mind-blowing. Slow service backed by little expertise. Great wine flights(three two oz wines for about $ 10 served on a brilliant tree presentation.) Far too bright for an intimate date — almost felt awkward. Scallops were delissh, though a small plate. Ribeye steak was good — but a bit chewy. There’s better places in town for the price. And worse too.

I was a little nervous because we were a few minutes late for our reservation, but when we arrived during prime dining time, we were the only ones in the restaurant! We enjoyed the extra privacy, especially with such warm and inviting décor. Soft lighting, large comfy dining chairs, and candlelit tables – what a spectacle! Our waitress was very sweet and accommodated all of our requests(at one point, I realized that I had forgotten to order our extra sides, but she quickly put the order in and had everything out to us as if nothing had happened). She did, however, lack knowledge and confidence about the food. She couldn’t really tell us about the subtle differences between the varieties of wine or the origins of the various cheeses. At any rate, we really enjoyed the meal. I should explain that we came in with one of their Groupons – $ 55 for an appetizer, two entrees, two sides, two desserts, and two glasses of wine. An impeccable deal that enables us to enjoy a dining experience we could have never afforded otherwise(the bill came out to a whopping $ 145, NOT including the tip! Thank you, Groupon!). For starters, we ordered the cheese platter, which featured a variety of domestic and imported cheeses, fresh berries, and lightly toasted crackers. All of the cheeses were well aged and very flavorful and went well with the fresh fruit. I especially enjoyed combining a sliver of cheese with a piece of fruit and a nibble of water crackers. For the entrée, I indulged in lamb chops with risotto, fava bean succotash, and an extra side of broccolini. My husband ordered the special of the day, which included lamp chops, lemon-glazed salmon, yukon gold mashed potatoes, and green beans, along with an extra side of roasted asparagus. All of the food was amazing. The meat was expertly cooked(we could tell the difference between our respective«medium» and«medium well» lamb chops) and very tender. The risotto wasn’t too creamy, and the succotash was fresh and flavorful. I especially enjoyed the broccolini, which I had not had in many years. The portions were perfect, and if I had not splurged on an appetizer, I likely would have finished my meal. But, of course I had to save room for dessert! I was treated to a hefty slice of strawberry cheesecake with banana cream and my husband enjoyed a triple layer chocolate cake. Both desserts were rich and decadent without being overwhelming. I do have to say that for once in my life, my portion of dessert was TOO big. I was a disappointed that I was unable to finish it! But, better to have too much cheesecake than not enough! Overall, Sonoma’z provided a very pleasant dining experience, especially considering the deal we scored through Groupon. I would just say that if they’re attempting to be an upscale establishment through ambience and menu, it would be helpful to have the waitstaff properly versed in the cuisine. Ample training would elevate this place to the next level!

We came here for Denver Restaurant Week. It was obvious that the executive chef and the F & B manager had given the selections a lot of thought and attention. Presentation of each course was excellent. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We began with the Cheese and Charcuterie with Grapes and Crackers. Interesting and tasty. Second course was Braised Lamb Tacos with Blueberry Chipotle Gastrique for my date and Grilled Caesar Salad with Cornbread Croutons for me. The tacos made in house were excellent(I have enjoyed lamb since spending time in Turkey; my partner who has not cared for lamb enjoyed them). The grilled caesar salad was a unique approach. Third course for me was Stuffed Pork Chop with Pancetta(Chevre & Figs), Asiago and Chive Polenta accompanied by very delicious Bacon Wrapped Brussel Sprout Brochette. While the pork chop was a bit on the dry side, the combination was very interesting. My partner selected the Arugula Pesto Crusted Ruby Red Trout Roasted Yellow Pepper Risotto Cakes and Parsnip Purée. She thoroughly enjoyed her entre. For dessert we chose the Candied Bacon Sundae with Maple Bourbon Syrup and a Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake. The bacon bits on the ice cream resulted in a contrast of flavors and the cheesecake was also excellent. We enjoyed the bottle of Mirassou cabernet recommended for the 5280 special menu. It had a soft but very pleasing taste. A great choice by the staff. Overall the experience was very good. However, one caution. Sitting by the fireplace in the dining room is a romantic thought until the staff continually passes between the table(s) and the fireplace using it as a speedway to transport food and other supplies from the kitchen to the adjoining lounge. There was another passage that would have avoided disturbing dining patrons. Based on the 5280 Denver Restaurant Week experience the restaurant earns a return trip.

I had purchased a Groupon worth 40 dollars. After checking out the menu prices I decided that my money would go much further at lunch than dinner. So we came here for lunch today. We tried 4 things. We had 2 different salads(the Bibb lettuce/Spinach and the Cobb salad). We also tried the burger and the strip loin panini. The Bibb lettuce salad(with walnuts and apples) was excellent, the Cobb salad was pretty good. The burger was okay, however the panini was really odd. The meat was mushy and under seasoned. The bread was barely grilled. Fries were tasty and generous, but were not hot enough. This whole experience was very«hotel restaurant».

It all started one Friday night. My boyfriend and I were in search of a restaurant that: 1. Neither one of us had been to. 2. Offered a good deal on food/meals. 3. Had a killer patio and live music… if we’re lucky. Now I realized our list may be hard to come by on a Friday night, but Sonoma’z offered all three! We were celebrating a birthday and decided this was the place to kick back, relax and enjoy the night… and enjoy we did. Here’s the breakdown: Star #1= Although it’s a little off the beaten path & located inside the Marriott, the location is pretty awesome. We were able to snag a table for our party of 6 on the patio [yay!], listened to music & watched the sun go down. The atmosphere of this place is awesome. It has an upscale feel but with a casual twist. The umbrellas outside are cloth, and lush gardens surround the outside, making it feel as though we aren’t in Littleton anymore! With the live jazz playing, I was completely content. Star #2 = Wine is fantastic here! yum! Star #3= The food is amazing. They offer a 4 course meal [shared appetizer, two half salads, two entrees, and a shared dessert] all for a whopping $ 59. Considering the type of food, location and scale of the restaurant, we jumped on the killer deal! We noshed on the salmon cakes, along with the cheese plate [yum!], split the spinach salad with strawberries, I had the pleasure of getting the special [lump cod drizzled in thai sauce along with rice and snap pees!] while the bf opted for the flank steak with potatoes and veggies. Everything was to die for. Our dessert was outstanding as well! Star #4= Service was awesome! Our waiter checked back with us frequently [not enough to make him annoying or neglectful], made sure our drinks were never empty, and gave some great suggestions, as none of us had been there before. Awesome! Only downside? Be prepared to shell out a pretty penny for this, after all is said and done. Although the wine is fantastic, the prices aren’t listed. Because i didn’t want to sound like a frugal crazy person i didn’t ask the prices, and was shocked when the bill arrived. I guess not only be prepared to spend money, but ask questions if you’re not informed! ha :)

Food was ok as was the wine selection. Service was good. It’s just a bit pricey and not really my vibe. I prefer a more intimate wine bar, and while here it’s just too obvious that you are still in a hotel.
