The pizza at Bonanno Brothers Pizza is thin, crispy and full of authentic Italian flavors. If you eat with your eyes closed you may think your in Florence. Outstanding flavors reasonable pricing makes this Restuarant worth coming back to. Try the Carne pizza and ask for it extra crisp. Ari helped us select from the menu. She had many favorites and she was spot on. Great place!

I have been to many of Franks restaurants. Mizuma is outstanding. Bones… killer soups Whats up here? Third time and it just goes downhill. Most recent visit was a huge disappointment. Service was indifferent at best despite it having only a handful of customers. Place is empty yet we get seated at a tiny table for two that was unacceptable, we asked for one of the many larger tables. Order roasted nuts as appetizer and a sausage pizza. After a long wait the pizza finally comes out but still no appetizer… Tip they are suppose to come first people. Restaurant 101, Pizza is ‘ok’ you would be better off playing wheres Waldo than trying to find any sausage on the pizza. Weird thing is the pizza is(I cant find the words here) «wet» crust is nice with a charred edge but its got way too much water, I can only surmise the sauce needs to be cooked down more. Ten minutes post pizza appetizer arrives, the mixed nuts are entirely almonds they have a good taste but not really sure I even want them now. Staff talks about delivering my dip… really didn’t order one? Then there is parking, I come to Park Meadows a lot and drive some unusual cars, Summit Valet knows me on a first name basis so I don’t get a claim ticket they just take it. I basically get scolded by the staff for not having one to validate so eventually we stamp my receipt as an alternative. Didn’t like the attitude of the staff about it not being they way they like it. No better experience that California Pizza Kitchen(no offence they are fine). I almost got the feeling that Bonanno Inc is too busy with the«compound» of restaurants around Mizuma to attend to this place. I wish it would be of the caliber of the rest of the group. Seriously. your hurting your brand and I really like your other places fix it or close it. Update —– to there credit BB did contact me asking for suggestions and elaboration on my experience. Points for that I hope it illicit a positive change but does indicate they care Right direction at least

I am sooooo sad as I write this, but man. I have to. We went to BBP tonight for dinner at 6:15. I know the time because we had a 6:30 reservation and we were early. I noted the time only because we didn’t leave until after 8 — and that was eating fast and leaving. I seriously cannot understand why it took so freaking LONG to get some food. The service was epically bad. Granted, there were 8 of us, but we were low maintenance. The restaurant was not even a little bit busy and it took 30 minutes to get three drinks(a beer and two sodas) and 45 to get mozzarella(delicious) and sopressata. The rest of our party showed and between us we ordered 3 pizzas, 5 salads, 1 kid mac and cheese, 4 grilled artichokes, and an order of meatball sliders. Nothing difficult or picky. The food came out in a strange order — like no rhyme or reason at ALL — was given to the wrong table at one point and we were given things that we didn’t order, which were summarily removed from the table when we pointed it out. Our server, when she took away our salad plates, just dumped the forks off the plates and back onto the table. The poor kids with us had to wait for their food until after some of the adults’ plates came out. I believe we asked about lobster and specials at least 3 times before we got an answer. For the entire time we were there, I felt like none of the staff really gave a damn at all. The worst part of this is that(read my earlier reviews) based upon my earlier experiences at the restaurant, we took my brother and his family who are in town from NYC for the weekend for my daughter’s wedding. Thank God the company was good, because, hi… moments and a lot of cash you can’t get back… Insult to injury came later when my sister in law ordered cappuccino and requested that it not take too long, and it was brought to her in a paper cup??? Then that great big check came, with a great big 20% tip added to the bill. Ouch. I really wish I could be more detailed about this, but I’m getting all worked up reliving the trauma. Think twice.

Another successful Frank Bonanno restaurant. Located in the Park Meadows shopping mall where they have a row of restaurants, Bonanno Bros Pizzeria is a classy addition and a great choice for a nice casual dinner for those that live in the south suburbs past Denver. if you go, you must try the burrata which is good just about any day or time of the week. Lots of eclectic pizza choices and the crust is thin with an airy texture to it. Probably my favorite way to have crust. Service is professional and courteous and the restaurant itself has a nice modern theme and comfortable seating. Parking can be somewhat of a nightmare and it doesn’t seem to matter what time of day you go. What’s up with all these stay at home mom spending the afternoon and Park Meadows! Just kidding. But if you cannot go to Osteria Marco downtown, this is not a bad second.

Went here for a work lunch and was only mildly impressed. We ordered the Burrata to start, which was paired with some charred toast. This was definitely my favorite part of the meal. Creamy and light cheese spread thick over the chewy toast got my appetite started. I then ordered the Brothers’ Combo sandwich. Loaded with meat(but mostly on one side) and veggies, but it was not better than your local deli sandwich. The thickness of the bread made it hard to eat. I’m glad my server suggested the half portion with a salad because I only made it through half of that portion. I did enjoy the salad. I was surprised to see the restaurant totally empty during lunch hours while we were there. Bonanno needs to step up its game if they want to fill seats.

Burrata cheese was fantastic and the pizza was good enough. Service was subpar and for a party of 6 adults and a 3 yr old they added 20% auto-gratuity to our bill which was not deserved. I will not be back and this is not a good representation on the Bonanno name. 2 stars ONLY for the homemade cheese.

All day Happy Hour on Sunday. Decent wine for $ 4 a glass. Beyond that, I was actually less than impressed. Had received a mailer for a free margherita pizza that expired end of January so I went here with a friend. We ordered the free pizza, and I really wanted to try their burrata after reading positive reviews. The burrata was good, but different than I’ve had other places. It’s texture was closer to ricotta than what I’m used to. Though it was good, I won’t go out of my way to eat it again(unlike Shanahan’s whose burrata I’m obsessed with!). The pizza was good. Fresh flavors and nice crust. Only problem was they burnt it so some of the pieces were so burnt on the bottom of the crust you couldn’t taste anything else. And more than half the crust edges were burnt as well. I don’t mind a little char from my oven fired pizza, but it was a too much. We decided to try their butterscotch bread pudding, and that was delicious! My friend commented that she normally doesn’t like bread pudding because it’s too soggy, but this was perfectly soft and not soggy at all. And the butterscotch flavor was dynamite! Our server was good, but since they were dead she really didn’t have many other people to attend to. And the atmosphere here is nice, though nothing really caught my eye as special. The patio area looks pretty nice, and I’m sure it’s awesome in summer when they can open up the wall doors. I would consider coming back here just for HH wine and dessert, but otherwise I kind of feel like«been there-done that» and no reason to come back.

If you’re like me, you’re probably not big on the ‘burbs. But if you’re like me, Bonanno Bros. will likely change that. Well, you still won’t like the ‘burbs, but now you won’t mind the 20 minute trek through the stop-and-go DTC traffic. You’ll also tolerate the inevitable sea of Lexus SUVs parked haphazardly by herds soccer moms with their standard issue Coach purses hanging from their $ 700 strollers. You’ll do all of this for some pretty killer pizza and excellent salads. Yes, the salads… I had quite possibly the best chopped salad of my life at Bonanno Bros. It was the perfect mix of romaine & iceberg coated with a crazy good gorgonzola dressing. Huge chunks of chicken, pancetta, avocado and cheese crumbles throughout. You’re probably not going to lose any inches eating this salad, but it was worth every gluttonous calorie. The pizza was also insanely delicious. Lightly blistered by the imported woodfired pizza oven, the crust is not-too-chewy, not-too-crispy perfection, topped with mounds of meat really hit the spot. The fresh ricotta added huge flavor and perfect texture. The interior is more spacious than any of the other Bonanno restaurants. The décor however, is quite similar, minimally appointed with accents reminiscent of a European train station. If you like Osterio Marco, or even if you just like good Italian food, Bonanno’s is worth checking out… even if it’s in the ‘burbs.

I was in Denver for work and they put us up around the corner from the Park Meadows mall. Someone mentioned that Bonanno Brothers had the top 10 pizza in the country, so of course we had to try it. We had a group of about 11, which shouldn’t be too crazy for a place like this. We each ordered drinks and a pizza, but for some reason they just couldn’t get it together. The drinks took FOREVER to come out, which had us worried about our pizza. Everyone started to receive their pizzas, but me and one other person waited and waited. Finally when everyone else was done, we received ours. It was pretty annoying to watch everyone around us finish their dinner, while we starved to death. Plus, other tables that ordered after us got their pizzas waaaay before we did. Pizza doesn’t take too long to cook, which means ours was made after everyone else’s. We were all tired, hungry and figured pizza would be easy. Even after the obvious and terrible service, the 2 of us that waited more than 30 minutes to eat weren’t even given any discounts. Nope, they didn’t comp the $ 2 arugula I ordered as a topping. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the pizza wasn’t half bad, but I’ll never consider them top 10.

As a pizza snob and fan of Bonannos’ other restaurants, I was really excited to try this place. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The good: the space is nice, open with cool bar and good patio. Service was solid. Not so good: the chopped salad had way too much dressing that killed what should have been a great salad. Tried the lobster fra diavolo pizza. Crust was good Neapolitan style, plenty of lobster meat. However there was a ton of a white sauce that totally overwhelmed the other favors. Also diavolo is supposed to be spicy red sauce, here it was a little bit of chunky tomatoes and no heat. Overall a bad pizza. I will probably try again in the future as the menu looks like it has some good options, and I really want to like this place. But first time out, I was disappointed. 09⁄13 went back for a second try. Sat at the bar, bartenders gave good service –attentive without hovering. This time I tried a sausage and mushroom pizza. Meh. Everything was solid but not exceptional. I’m sticking with 3 stars, certainly not the best in the area.

Not surprisingly, Bonanno Brothers is good. It’s basically Osteria Marco for the south ‘burbs. In fact, many of the OM favorites are making an encore performance at Bb(mussels, burrata, etc.) We tried two different pizzas for brunch. The lobster pie seems to be the signature offering, and it’s very good. It comes with a generous heaping of lobster on each slice, so is worth the premium. The big chunks of lobster go wonderfully with equally-large plum tomatoes, and dollops of ricotta. Our second pizza was the carbonara. It’s cheesy with a great texture they comes from the pancetta and eggs. There is a cracked egg in the middle, which is a nice touch as well. Nice to see Park Meadows imparting some local flavor!

Came here for take out a few weeks back. The food was awesome. Even better, as we waited for our to go order, owner Frank B let’s my daughter make a personal pizza for herself. Talk about service!!! This led us to coming to dinner. Even better experience! Had the albacore tartar appetizer with the ginger beer cocktails. WOW!!! Everything made from scratch. It’s rare to find cocktails made from scratch. Ordered a wild mushroom pizza. The truffle oil is awesome. Such great flavors linger in your mouth. Waitress and manager very friendly and attentive. And kid friendly on top of that. Just may have found my favorite dine-in pizza place!!!

Update: 9÷13÷13 — From 2 stars down to 1. Way to take a bad service situation and make it even worse. Someone called my husband about MY Unilocal review to offer excuses. Oh wait, sorry, «explanations.» This is where it gets creepy: How the heck did they get his number? I used my phone to call the restaurant and place the order. How did they even know his name? I refer to him as «husband» in my reviews. So, they creepily found his name and number, called him in the middle of the work day, and instead of trying to make things right by offering any kind of incentive to come back, they just offer excuses about why they were having a staff meeting in the front of the house at the beginning of dinner service. Don’t have staff meetings when people are coming in to your restaurant for dinner. Do it at 3:30. Or, if you MUST do it at 5:30, make sure that when a patron comes in, you still acknowledge them and do your job. What is wrong with you people!!? How is this OK with Frank? NONE of his other restaurants even have a hint of this creepy, amateur crap. Jesus Christ, people. — — — — — — — — — — — — — – The only reason this gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because I love Frank Bonanno’s other restaurants. While the food at Bonanno Brothers wasn’t spectacular, it was still good. However, the service was THEWORST.(And I just ordered pick up!) It’s been raining for 4 days straight in Denver, so I just wanted to pick up something delicious and hearty for my husband and me instead of having to get groceries and cook. Hey… rainy days call for laziness! On my way home from work, I called Bonanno to place an order for pick-up. A girl named Jessica answered. I said, «Hi! I’d like to place an order for pick up.» There was this confused energy on the other end of the line. Without saying anything, she hung up. I called again. Fortunately, she took my order this time. I ordered the Walter White, the Carne, and their quinoa salad. She said it would be ready in 10 minutes. Which, was weird. There’s not a single pizza that should be ready in 10 minutes, unless they pre-make everything and they’re just heating it up. That was concerning. 15 minutes later, I pull up to Park Meadows and my husband runs in. The hostess greets him and he says, «Hi, I’m here to pick up an order for Maddie.» She’s confused. She asks, «Is this to go?» I’m assuming, based on the constant confusion, that this was also the girl named Jessica. Who asks if an order is to go when you say you’re there to pick up an order? She finally figures it out and runs back to the kitchen. The restaurant is literally empty aside from eight employees standing around talking about what cheese they like. The hostess emerges from the kitchen, and instead of telling my husband, «Oh, it’s just going to be another minute.» Or, «They’re boxing it up now.» Or anything that acknowledges that he’s there to pick up an order, she joins the group of employees goofing off in the front. One of the waitresses witnesses what’s going on and runs to the back to get the order. No one moves to help. It’s pouring rain and they put everything in a paper bag. They don’t offer anything to help keep things dry. Whatever. We finally get home and open up the pizza. Husband liked the carne. I liked the Walter White. We both liked the salad. However, the entire experience of dealing with the idiotic and unhelpful staff makes me never want to go again. It’s disappointing because Luca and Mizuna are two of our favorite restaurants– because of the food AND the service. Frank needs to train his staff better down at this place.

The last time I was at Park Meadows Mall, there was a Counter Burger. Three years later, I headed out to IKEA but wanted something other than Swedish meatballs for lunch. Sadly, The Counter is gone. But now there is Bonanno Brothers Pizzeria, and it is an even better option. I love the Bonanno restaurants; Osteria Marco is possibly my favorite place in Denver. It’s also nice to have an alternative to the chain stuff that makes up the rest of your options in this mall. We shared a Caesar salad and a wild mushroom pizza. The pizza was excellent, with thin, crispy crust made in their custom oven, a nice bechamel sauce, and delicious mushrooms. Also great were the drinks. We had the chamomile lemonade and the ginger beer. Both were delicious. The ginger beer was spicy but didn’t burn like some can. I avoid this area, but if I’m there again I will definitely stop at Bonanno Brothers.

SOLID happy hour. Being a big fan of Bonanno Restaurants and pizza, I knew the time had come for us to check this new establishment out. We dropped in for my favorite time of the day(here it’s offered from 2 – 6DAILY, in the bar only). I took a picture of the offerings but basically all draft beers are $ 3.50 and some spirits and a couple wine options are $ 4. I had the red and it tasted like it had been open a day, but it was good. We started with the SALAMI($ 3) and CRUDO of the DAY($ 6) which was a smoked salmon with marscapone, egg, red onion, and capers. Both were delicious and a great value on HH. We then each ordered a Margarita Pizza. Hubs had the regular($ 7) and I had gluten-free(+$ 4). The pizzas are both the same size and maybe could have shared but we are horfers so sharing is not typically an option! John liked his– not his fave in Denver. I also was disappointed with the GF crust. It was OK, but I’ve had better. The mozzarella is delicious. If it’s not made in-house then I need to find out who their supplier is. Very good. The sauce is a tad sweet but has chunks of tomatoes you can really taste, so it was good. All in all, it was a good experience and BB offers up some worthy tastes.

Ok maybe 31⁄2 but that’s all. The service was great and the manager did check on us a few times. The beet salad was really very good. The pizza was good but just not great. I shared the salad and goat cheese pizza with my friend. Happy hour was over at 6pm. That was too bad because house wine is 4.00 dollars and I believe the Margarita pizza is $ 6.00. At least I think that’s the price. Really with wine, shared pizza and salad our bill without tip was 20.00 or so per person. Happy hour next door would have been more because the 2 of us would have ordered too much food. Do keep in mind the pizza is done in a pizza oven and has a thin crust. The edges can burn like the one they served us. They did remake our pizza and it was not so burnt the second time. Would I go back? Probably.

The pizza is good, as is the burrata, but it’s the meatball sliders that made me return. Fantastic, herby bread with really awesome meatballs. As usual, the ice cream should be started with to make sure you have room. So good. Although not a fan of the pistachio — nothing worse than soggy nuts. ‘Nough said. Well done AGAIN, Frank B., well done. UPDATE: forget the stupid pizza, I just had the BEST tomato basil soup here. I will dream about it for the rest of the winter but only when I’m not making the long trek down there to get some. Give me a gallon and I’ll be happy for a week! Please, please keep it on the menu and add a fancy grilled cheese!

With apologies to Phil Collins… «Salsiccia» There’s this pizza that’s been on my mind All the time, Salsiccia oh oh Now this pizza is even topped with sage And these flavors are all the rage Salsiccia oh oh Oh if they served it I’d be there I’d come running anywhere Pizza that’s what I need, all my life I feel so good if I just have a slice Salsiccia, just have a slice Oh Salsiccia Alright, enough tomfoolery. I am a huge fan of pretty much everything Frank Bonanno touches. I have been to Osteria Marco, and I really enjoyed the pizza there. When I heard we would be getting Bonanno Brothers Pizzeria in Park Meadows/Lone Tree, I was very excited. So excited, that I didn’t read the details on their soft opening carefully enough on Facebook, and showed up on a day they were closed. I left a voicemail inquiring as to what was up, and I appreciated that the manager called me to apologize(despite it being my fault). I was finally able to drop by for lunch with a couple friends the other day. I am very glad that I did. We had the burrata(which was excellent) with a side of freshly sliced(shaved) prosciutto. It was wonderfully flavorful and excellent, but at $ 12 for a few slices of meat(no matter how awesome), a pizza is much more cost effective. As for pizzas, I went with the Salsiccia(Sausage, Fresh Mozzarella, Roasted Peppers, Onions & Sage). It was(as per my song of praise above) very, very tasty. The sausage was deeply flavorful, the peppers and onions were hearty, and the sage(oh that sage) brought some really nicely strong flavor to the pie. I know I liked it more than my dining companions did, but opinions vary. I was able to trade a couple slices and try their pizzas as well. They had the Carbonara(Pancetta, Parmigiano, Mozzarella, Béchamel & Egg) and the Carne(Sausage, Meatball, Pepperoni, Mozzarella & Ricotta). They were both quite good. I had enjoyed a similar Carbonara pizza at Osteria Marco, but I think this one was superior. It was best eaten piping hot. The Carne was also quite enjoyable. Our service from the young lady from Florida, was excellent. I do have a couple minor complaints. First, it took too long to get our pizza. The restaurant was not that crowded, but apparently there were a lot of carry out orders ahead of us. Our waitress did a very good job of managing our expectations, but I still was rather impatient with the long lag between drinks/appetizer and our pizzas. Secondly, the prices are a bit higher than I would like. Bottom line, we ordered too much food, and that inflated the bill. It ran about $ 27 a person(including tip). If we had ordered one less pizza, or skipped the appetizers, we could have trimmed the bill by $ 5 to $ 8 per person. But, since we only had one drink between the three of us, the bill was still somewhat on the higher side. I do fully acknowledge that people come to Bonanno restaurants and bars for the amazing food, drinks, and service, and not for the low, low prices. Anyway, check it out. It is great to have a something like this on the South end of the metro area.
