Not much to look at but the food is amazing!!! Had the omelet special and Eggs Benedict, both of which were delicious. Great home fries too with a delicious seasoning. Service very efficient and friendly. Will definitely go back when we’re in town!

They have changed the name to The Maple Leaf Diner! Note: Best omelette ever! I had Vermont cheddar, smokehouse kielbasa, green pepper and mushroom. The service was kind, the coffee fresh and handy and the vibe unassuming salt-of-the-earth. They didn’t blink twice when I asked for no-toast and I even heard the guy behind me ask for sautéed mushroom and tomato as a sub which they happily did. Low carb and gluten-free folks take note!!!

The bathrooms are gross and the coffee was just so so, but this is the best omelette(veggie and cheddar) I’ve ever had in my life(35 years), so it get 5 stars.

Great coffee, tasty food at good prices and operated by nice folks. It’s a small place so be patient if the place is crowded as it takes time to prepare fresh food to order. It’s worth the wait.

On my way through VT, I stopped for breakfast at Stoddard’s Restaurant, which is a popular local breakfast and lunch place, attached to Mike & Tammy’s(M&T’s) Main Street Market & Deli next time. The atmosphere inside is that of very cozy country diner with a few booths along the wall and lunch counter seating with an open kitchen and grill in the same room. The menu offerings include eggs, omelettes, pancakes, French toast, burgers, hot & cold sandwiches, clubs, fried sides, soups, chili, salads, and baked goods. Breakfast is served all day and there are several specials(not on the menu) posted on a big board behind the counter. The prices are reasonable and most dishes are priced $ 7 or less. I was offered hot coffee as I sat myself in a booth. The coffee($ 1.25) was just the right strength. I ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla Special($ 5.09) served with homefries. The good portion of hot food arrived in about 10 minutes. The breakfast quesadilla was very good and tasty, which had eggs blended with veggies(peppers, onions, mushrooms, cheese, eggs, and meat(I chose kielbasa) sandwiched between grilled tortillas with medium chunky salsa and sour cream on the side. The homefries were small diced potatoes, lightly grilled and browned. Overall, a very good hearty breakfast at a reasonable price. The service was good and I was offered refills on the coffee(fresh pot in hand), which of course I needed since I had quite a drive ahead of me to Concord NH.
