I hired this company to mover a king size bed and a couch and loveseat. They were the most unprofessional movers I have ever dealt with. First of all they couldn’t handle my king size mattress between 3 of them, they told me it was too floppy. I am a 5’6″ woman, and last year I was able to pick get this mattress up by myself and put a allergenic cover on it myself, which meant I had to stand it up and work the cover up, but they couldn’t handle it being 3 men. Also I had a newer living room set, which I just got through saying to the lead guy «please be careful, its newer and it’s very expensive. Wouldn’t you know the youngest mover, which looked about 18 and smelled like he smoked 5 packs of cigarettes or ate an ashtray before getting to my house, tried to pick up the loveseat, not by the frame but by the pillow on the arm which meant he ripped out 4 of the staples they had it attached with. The lead guy told me he wasn’t sure why they would have stapled it in the first place and my thoughts were why did you pick it up by the pillow in the first place. It’s Italian leather, what are you suppose to glue it???
It came time to pay the bill which I was quoted $ 110 per hour for two guys (they sent 3, which I never requested) but never told me about a minimum. It took them 2 hours to move me and I understand I pay for travel time but then handed me a bill for $ 560.00. I was beside myself. I called to get the bill adjusted, and spoke to «one of owners» whom sounded like she was 15 years old, and she was not working with me. She told me she wouldn’t give me the discount I requested, which I don’t think I was unreasonable, asking for $ 100.00 off. This was after they ripped staples out of my loveseat and couldn’t handle a mattress. She was very unprofessional, they were very unprofessional. I will never, never use them again or recommend them to anyone.
Remember the old saying you get what you pay for, but considering I paid a lot I would have expected more than they provided.
