I was not impressed at all. The waiter was rude to me and my party. I ordered a hamburger with bacon and I checked my burger and it didn’t have any bacon! So they had to take it back to the kitchen and add the bacon. They were clearly unprepared. On top of that, their food tastes canned and not fresh. I think this place is good for people who are too lazy to cook. You can easily replicate their menu or order that pie from a patisserie. The whole exterior of the restaurant in trying to be welcoming and classy is confusing because their quality of food is average at best. P. S. They charge money in slicing a cake and plating it(even though the cake was purchased elsewhere), I find this hilarious.

Went to Sissy’s with my friend yesterday for lunch and to exchange Christmas gifts. The place was gaily decorated and everyone, staff and customers alike were in a festive mood. My friend had the quiche special which she said was very good. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad, and it was good, but I was somewhat disappointed because the Romaine lettuce leaves were mostly from the outside of the head, and appeared a little on the old side, so the salad wasn’t as crunchy as I would have liked. In addition, the chicken breast was pretty skimpy and cold — I was expecting it to be warm, as I’ve had it in other places. The croutons on the salad were excellent. Then, of course, we each had a slice of what should be made famous all around if it isn’t already — coconut cream pie. It was SO good I had to just sit with it for a moment. Kudos to the wonderful baker! The service was very good, attentive without being overbearing. Hope I don’t have to wait another year for a return visit!

Came for Lunch once again and we ordered 2 of the special sandwiches. One was a turkey with cranberry, the other was a vegetarian sand with apples, but I had them add turkey. They both were awesome! The Broccoli soup that came with it was fantastic also. I asked Steve to pour me a glass of white wine that would pair well, and it was great too. This was the best lunch I’v had at Sissys. Thank You!

Wonderful food and friendly staff! I’m here for work and travelling alone. Found this place on a Unilocal search and am glad I did. Usually I hate eating in restaurants alone; I’ll get take out instead, but Sissy’s was so appealing I decided to stay. The food was delicious, not relying on heavy seasonings to make inferior quality. The wine list extensive, even though I only got 1 glass. And the desserts were mouthwatering. I could barely decide between the freshlyade pies. I decided on the Coconut Cream and was not sorry I did. Not too sweet, flaky crust. Tasted like a pie my mom would make. Unilocal came through again.

I’ve been here twice and neither time have I been impressed. The best way I can describe Sissy’s: basic white girl food. What I mean by that is they have sandwiches without a lot of meat, salads with fancy leaves, and a great selection of wine. None of it is very flavorful. It’s all on the edge of dry(to keep the fat content down). I haven’t tried the desserts, but I’m sure they’re cute, dainty, and sweet. If you’re a basic white girl, eat at Sissy’s. You’ll love it. For groups they have a set menu for $ 17. I didn’t care for it. However, service was relative quick so I’ll still say it’s good for groups.

Dinner here last night, quaint little place with friendly wait staff. The food, a group of 8 of us was delicious. Supposedly a special menu when the Dog Show is in town. Yes we were Dog Show people. Limited choices on the menu for beef and chicken, the Mediterranean Chicken was the choice of 4, raves on that, two had fish, halibut and walnut crusted some fish, raves again, one steak, raves and one warm mushroom salad, mine, to die for! The MAYTAG blue cheese sent it over the top, MAYTAGBLEU, made in Iowa is the premo BLEU Cheese! The place wasn’t crowded, however service was slow, quite a wait for the meal to arrive, luckily we are a chatty group. Desserts great, exception though on the French Silk pie, the crust was a coarse chop of nuts, pecan and almond, not my choice for a crust by any means. Filling however once the nuts were removed was sheer heaven. The four star rating is only because of the wait for food ordered to served time. The server was excellent!

Just had a great lunch at Sissy’s! So glad I didn’t pass it by, because of a previous review saying it was closing, BUT it is open. We were waited upon by Kyle, who was exceptional. He made great recommendations for their turkey, mango sandwich on a wonderful whole grain bread and it came with a cup of delicious split pea soup.(Skip Anderson’s pea soup and drive the extra miles to get the soup at Sissy’s). He even split it for my husband and I and gave us both a cup of soup. My brother in law got the quiche of the day and that was great. I think the crust was a whole grain crust but it was favorable and flakey. But the real treat were the pies. We decided to get two and share. We got the coconut cream with a wonderful crust that had nuts and coconut. We also got flourless chocolate pie. The crust was made out of nuts and it complemented the chocolate ganache filling. I am a person who likes to experiment with food combinations so I combined the two pies in one bite and it was glorious! The décor was a play on a fun, tropical beach scene. It was very clean, light, and roomy. We also peeked in the gift and wine shop which carries a very nice selection of local wines that were reasonably priced. Luckily we have relatives that live close by so we will be back when we are visiting the area.

We ordered take out at sissy’s and it was right when they first opened for dinner so not many people in the restaurant yet. I’m not sure if it was the manager or just a super friendly waiter but he told me to take a seat at one of the tables while my food was being prepared, offered me water and had a real nice chat. The food we had was excellent except slightly overpriced, hence the 4 stars. But it is overall a charming little restaurant full of friendly people eager to serve you!

Went there last Friday and we came to the conclusion, when the owners not there, the place is not good. We first walked in to get greeted by the cook who only said. Hey such and such(waitress name?) someones here out front. No welcoming feeling at all. My girlfriends potatoes were so dry that she let me taste them and it litterly gave me cotton mouth. The beer I ordered wasn’t even very cold. My girlfriends wine taste like it had been opened from th eday before. And whats up with all the greasy snap peas as the only vegetable on her fillet plate? What makes the place feel weird, was the two waiters just standing there staring. I felt like we were being watched by the secret service. Now onto my plate, which was pasta. I had to mix it all up because my first bite was cold. Our salads were good. This place needs a facelift real bad.

What a hidden gem. Every sandwich ordered at our table was phenomenal. Wonderful side salad with great light house dressing and thank god not overdressed. Also, toasted the bread perfectly. Not over buttered or greasy(a real no no IMHO). Perfect Caramelized onions on the toasted ham and cheese; not burnt or overdone. Just go for lunch. Seriously. A gem. We will be back!!!

Wow. This may have been the tastiest sandwich I have ever eaten. I ordered a sandwich from the«specials» board: shaved turkey, mango chutney, Granny Smith apple, lettuce, toasted peppers and tomato. The whole grain bread was buttered and toasted to perfection. Everything was fresh and home made. Even the side salad was perfectly done. Wonderful food and wonderful service. You must go!!!

Perfect veggie sandwich! Full of flavor, veggies cooked perfectly. So many times vegetarian sandwiches are bland, bad portion of veggies poorly cooked. Sourdough bread was perfectly grilled. I LOVED this sandwich. Coworkers enjoyed the turkey cranberry sandwich. Side salad was fresh. Customer service was great.

Had lunch at Sissy’s today. We ordered: 1. Quiche with side salad 2. Quiche with navy bean soup 3. California turkey sandwich with navy bean soup 4. Kid’s grilled cheese 5. Two slices of apple pie with ice cream The food was decent… a tad on the bland side. The service was excellent! Our server never allowed drinks to get past mid level without a refill and he was quick to clean off plates when we finished. The final bill was $ 82+ before tip. The restaurant décor looked a little tired and had flowered curtains that don’t seem to match with the rest of the place. We were there between 11:30 and 12:30. No one under the age of 60 was there. I would eat here again if convenient but would not go out of my way to come here.

Great little sandwich shop. I ordered the french dip and it was perfectly assembled and had great flavor. My friends enjoyed the clam chowder and their tuna salads. I def regretted not ordering the scoop of tuna because it looked amazing. The location is great and convenient in the downtown area. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant you can park in. The service is great since it’s very easy to move around this little place.

This was my first time in Lompoc and I had no idea where to eat dinner! We tried Sissy’s because we heard it was one of the best places in the area. I ordered the special 10 oz New York steak with mushroom gorgonzola sauce. It was delicious! It also came with potatoes and snap peas which were equally delicious! The potatoes were filled with flavor and the peas were so fresh and crunchy! For dessert, I ordered the coconut crème pie. SOGOOD. I wanted to order one to fo but had nowhere to store it! I hope I can cone back here one day.
