Paleteria Y Neveria La Nueva Michoacana

Amazing!!! So glad we chose to try this place! Kids got the ice cream, I got the Cajetas Paletas de crema (omg delish) and hubby got the milk candy shake with whip cream… that was also amaze! The shop is hidden, but I’m glad we found it!

We have Baskin Robbins and then we have this place. The location isn’t great because you can’t really tell that it’s there but I know it’s there and I recommend almost everyone I know to go there. This place is a one-​of-​kind in Lompoc, and I think it’s great. Could be a little more well kept but it doesn’t bother me much.
Everything here seems so fresh and homely-​made. That has kept me coming for a couple years now.

I adore this place. If they had a better location they would kill it! No one knows they are here. I found this place by accident and have not stopped going back! I love it. Only reason they are getting 3 out of 5 is because the girl was moping and didn’t wash her hands when she went to grab us the desserts. Which made me wonder about other things in that area. The bucket was dirty and now you hands are inside the freezer touching the food I am about to eat. Other then that the coco bananas are epic.

I’m Mexican & I know not to go to the American ice cream places in town when I know the Michoacana Palateria is the place to go!

Baskin-​Robbins Fosters Freeze & Yogurt Whatever, yeah they are local spots in Lompoc you can grab some Ice Cream BUT WHY?
Viva Michoacan, come all you Gabacho’s and try some Mexican Ice Cream and Paletas, ice cream made in flavors you might have never seen before, paletas water or milk made from real fruit, Esquimales, Chocobanana, Ensalada de Fruta and many other Mexican snacks! All made FRESH in House…
The worst part of this place is that they have a great selection of flavors it makes it difficult to choose, you always have your favorites but when you see something different you also want to try that!

Paleta de Fresa con Crema —
This is a Milk/​Cream based paleta with plenty of large strawberry slices, as good as it gets!
Nieve dos Bolas —
Rompope/​Rum Raisin and Queso/​Cheese… Now I’ve had plenty of Rompope Nieve y Paletas over my many years this had good flavor and nice amount of raisins, what IMPRESSED me was the QUESO YES, CHEESE flavored Ice Cream! don’t ask me what kind of cheese, the flavor is mild but you do get that cheesiness taste.

Oh Mexican ice cream how do I love you it’s the only true reason I come back to lompoc don’t tell my parents. They have everything ensalada de fruta, fresas con crema homemade Popsicles.

Hey American friends, give this place a try. They make their own popsicles fresh. Wow! This was a great surprise and a real find in Lompoc. I thought it would just be one of those places that sells pre-​made ice cream snacks. But no. They make it fresh with fresh cream and fresh fruit. They also have fresh made fruit pops with fruit. They also have Mexi tropical fruit flavors like tamarind, coconut, mango, or caramel which they call cajete. Of course they have the standards like chocolate, cookies and cream, strawberry, and bubble gum with real gumballs in it.

Yo this place is amazing. Reminds me of local neverias in the middle of pueblos in mexico. They have every flavor of paleta that you can think of (pause) plus some random mexican snacks and of course, aguas de fruta! It’s real good.
