Jalama Beach Grill

Micheal won the best clam chowder 2015. We were there 2 days & we had clam chowder for 2 days, it is the best clam chowder I ever have. The chicken & Jalama burgers were so delicious too, love it !!!

Great little secret spot, the ride in is almost as good as the food when you get there. Very remote, not fancy, perfect beach get away for bikers and RV campers. I haven’t had breakfast here but the burgers and fries were amazing.

Recommended on Google search as one of the places to visit on the way to Monterey. Hidden but worth the drive. Beautiful scenery! Burger and fries delicious! Only negative was the cashier who instead of handing me my change threw it on the counter! This which I found to be extremely rude!!!

For how remote this park is it is very surprising how well stocked and managed this location is. My guess is that an owner or family works here everyday.
The shelves are stocked with twice as much variety as you would expect. They have a large selection of beers, fire wood, ice, camp games and a cornucopia of campsite foods. If you don’t feel like making your own meal they have a fantastic grill. The burgers are delicious and meet the hype. We had them for dinner the first night and have had them for either lunch or dinner everyday after. Onion rings are a golden brown and come out hot.
Their secret sauce is very flavorful and I recommend getting a side of it for your burger. I only tried their burgers, fries, and onion rings so that is all I can comment on. I bought a bunch of stuff at this market and I would say the pricing is decent. I have had better deals on vacation chachkis and I have had worse deals. I think the burgers are a bit on the pricey side but this should be expected based on the location I highly recommend this establishment.
Back again and I had a cheese burger with grilled onions, this is the only way to go in my opinion. I tried a large variety of beers and most are $ 2.

Good place to eat while at the beach. The location is inside the store, and you can may need to wait 15 – 20 minutes before its ready (during peak times). The location itself has some outdoor seating near the restaurant, or you can eat near the vicinity on the benches. Recommend the patty melt, and Jalama burger. There is also a location with the similar menu in Lompoc.

I have been hearing about this burger for years now and finally got to go camping and had one.
Well it was good, but nothing spectacular. I guess the hype was more than the actual burger. I would rather drive to Sylvesters in Oceano and have a burger.
My son had the sliders and loved them. We both had the fries and they were of In-​N-​Out quality. So it was good but I can get just as good a lot closer to my home.

Right on Jalama Beach, this place is absolutely amazing! It’s located inside the Jalama Beach Store at the end of the parking lot. Although it looks small, don’t underestimate the power of good cooks making delicious food! At the recommendation of a co-​worker, I ordered the Jalama Burger with cheese and a small size fries. Subtly seasoned but flavorful fries. And the Jalama Burger is probably the best burger I have ever had. Their special Jalama sauce is delicious, the patty is juicy and flavorful, the bun is so soft, and the veggies are fresh. You can’t go wrong! If you want a beautiful ocean view and excellent food, I highly recommend this place!
Note: The small fries isn’t such a small order! It’s about a half of a regular plate full of fries. But soooooo darn delicious. Also, there is nowhere to eat inside. There are outside dining tables and of course, the beach right behind it. I recommend the beach!
