He did a great job on a root canal and post/crown for me for a reasonable price. I don’t have dental insurance, so he was a big help, and I have had zero problems with the tooth since then.

My mother and I really like Dr. Yun. He is the answer to my novena to St. Apollonia, Patron Saint of Dentists, to help us find a dentist who’ll not charge us astronomical fees & who’s also good in his profession. Some Catholics will know what I’m talking about. We had many experiences with money-hungry dentists. My mom caught her former dentist charge the insurance for something he didn’t do on her teeth. When she questioned him, he snotily replied, «Don’t worry about that’ and later proceeded to do a botched job in doing a root canal on her front tooth that she had to go back every week bec. the overly-filed tooth kept breaking off. She eventually just gave up with a piece of the tooth still lodged in her gum after all these years until Dr. Yun removed it today. Dr Yun also gives a patient his sole attention. That previous dentist I talked about jumps from one patient to another like in an assembly line(we were all laying/sitting down on the chairs in different rooms). I had concerns about sanitation bec. I didn’t really see or hear him wash his hands in between, just a fast changing of gloves. We had some really bad experiences with dentists I can write a long article about it. We really like Dr. Jun’s work so far and his assistant is a sweetheart. The assistant is probably new, judging from the previous review. They take the time to check in detail if the insurance covers the procedure they recommend doing. The out-of-pocket expense is cheap compared to so many out there. Dr. Yun is gentle too, not brutal(with heavy hands) like my previous dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Yun.

I went to Dr. Yun for three and a half years(until my insurance changed), and I’ll kind of miss him. He’s the only dentist who has actually cleaned my teeth — I’m accustomed to having dental hygenists do that. It took me a while to warm up to him and his office assistant, neither of whom seemed overly friendly at first. But they grew on me and got warmer as the years(and appointments) went by. It can be difficult to connect with an actual person to schedule an appointment, but they do call back if you leave a message. The minimal staffing is probably why it’s dirt cheap to go here, as opposed to the small fortune I’ve paid to other dentists in the past. Farewell Dr. Yun — you served my teeth well.
