First time here at the Corner House, love the atmosphere and the ambience. They have nice coffee shop music, and the walls are filled with paintings from local artist. Very cool place. Ordered the Raspberry Mocha because the sign outside had a Darth Vader drawing saying«try it or die» so without risking my life, I tried it and… it was amazing. Prices are decent, along the lines of what normal coffee shops charge.

I am definitely a fan! I work from home and love to go there and plug in and enjoy a coffee for a change of scenery. The owner is super nice as are the other employees. The trail mix bar is spendy but really good.

Nice Venue in downtown Lombard and when it first opened we liked all the coffees, Mochas, etc. I think the ownership/mgt changed after the first year or so open and the coffee drinks and especially the Mochas went down big time. My wife wont drink theirs anymore so we dont go here very often anymore. Too bad since it is a really nice coffee house to relax in.

Visited The Corner House this morning with my husband and a good friend and it changed my opinion of the place. I had a well-prepared, single-shot cortado that was so enjoyable, I was compelled to order a second. My husband ordered a hot raspberry mocha and my friend ordered one iced. They were satisfied enough to try second drinks too. I did not love the ginger green tea muffin, but it was no less tasteless than baked goods from the ubiquitous, Seattle-based coffee shop. The staff was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. We sat indoors for our first round and outdoors for our second. The coffeehouse is a short walk under the Metra tracks from Lilacia Park. I think we’ll come here more often.

It’s a cute little coffee shop located in downtown Lombard. It wasn’t busy at all. Had a nice selection of teas in mason jars with chalkboard labels. The one employee I interacted with there was extremely pleasant. My coffee was okay, it wasn’t anything that would make me go «this needs to be in my life everyday.» But I appreciate local businesses with nice employees so I might give it another chance in the near future. Honestly this place isn’t terrible at all. The 3 star review is because on a personal level, this just wasn’t for me. The business itself is not bad. There are worse coffee houses in the area. But honestly, I’m kind of over the«trying hard to be trendy/funny» hipster coffee shops. Really. It was like Pinterest threw up in there. From the cluttered artwork on the walls of local artists, to the predictable mason jar teas with chalkboard labels, to the pop culture references for their coffees(smashing pumpkins for a pumpkin coffee. Seriously.). If you’re into that, this is most definitely your place. Might be a nice change of scenery from the blah Starbucks coffee atmosphere.

I love this cozy little coffeeshop. It reminds me of the independent coffeeshop I use to work at in college. Once, my order took a bit longer than anticipated, and the owner threw in a vegan granola bar in my bag, without saying a word. When I got home, the treat surprised me and really made my day. Thanks for being awesome, Corner House!

I gotta go to this place more often! Very friendly and warm environment. I wish there were more shops like this rather than starbucks everywhere. Soup was great!

A local coffee shop that is surviving the onslaught of corporate dominance in the local markets deserves recognition. Great coffee, great service, clean environment.

Great little coffee house! Had lunch there today. Loved the grilled cheese, added some giardinera! The coffee choices were tremendous! Hot or cold, so many adds! Lot more selection than the big chains. Service was great! Wish I was in the area more often, id love to stop again. Parking is on street, can be a little tight. Atmosphere is cozy but roomy. Good vibe in here. I had the tuxedo, blended. Very yummy! Enjoyed it. Worth the stop.

A cool kicking coffee house with music and great coffee in a hidden gem on Lombard way better than any big-boxed mall.

I stopped by Friday for something warm to drink. The sign out front suggested their Mint Mocha with a cute image of Yoda making the suggestion. How could I resist Yoda? The drink was just what I needed to help thwart my head cold and the winter doldrums. The establishment is so inviting, I wished I had time to sit in the big comfy looking chairs, but I’ll save that for another day.

We discovered a wonder coffee shop in downtown Lombard called«The Corner House». We spent part of the evening in comfortable chairs, sipping tea, listening to some poetry and enjoying the sounds of local musicians at an Open Mic. Like most events of this type, some were good and others were for another crowd. Either way, we were greeted by warm smiles and cheerful hospitality for all ages. It was our first time to The Corner House and have every intention to return.

When I am not at work and in the need of caffeine, I usually end up grouchy. I ONLY go here. It is right down the block form my job and I do not live close. The owner, «V», is the most caring and dedicated café owner I have ever met. He is always behind the counter and making drinks himself. He not only knows me by name, knows my drink, but always is just so genuine. He makes this place. As for the coffee, it is always strong, flavorful and V and the others always make it how you want it or else they make you a new one, no charge! I have never had this done before. They make it a priority to make you happy when you walk out of the door. Today, for the first time in 2 years of going here, I had a soup and sandwich… I am blown away. The PMT is AMAZING. So simple, but so flavorful. The Vienna bread is awesome! Pesto, Tomato and Mozzarella really has a comfort food thing about it here, especially when you dip it in their soup. I keep finding new things to keep me going back. I love this place!!! Thanks for making my mornings and now lunchtime so special V!!!

My hubby and his buddies kept talking about The Corner House like it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. I even started to get a little jealous as of late because every time we drove nearby, he would bring it up, but we would never stop in. Apparently he was trying to keep this little gem to himself! Yesterday, we were passing by and he said we would stop on our way back. You bet your booty we stopped in for my first visit an hour later! If we weren’t trying to squeeze ten pounds of you know what into a five pound bag yesterday, I could have easily sat there for hours. There is some great seating! Kids were quietly playing Battleship together. People were working/messing about on their laptops. Families were eating. Individuals were sitting back and sipping on their custom crafted beverage. I wish I would have had a book as I would have curled up to read and enjoy the mood on a Sunday afternoon. Instead, we ordered drinks and baked goods to-go. Let’s start with the drinks… He knew exactly what he wanted. A caramel macchiato with an extra shot, extra hot. I opted for a dark hot chocolate with peppermint. My only thought was I should have gone«extra hot». I was able to drink it almost immediately and it was delicious! Not cloyingly sweet, but still rich. It was a nice change from the franchise cocoa I’ve been drinking lately. We brought home peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies and banana bread slices. The cookies were good, but not the highlight of the visit. The banana bread was another story! Fresh baked bread loaded with banana-ey goodness. It was not over-baked which made me extremely happy. And it was a very fair portion that worked out just perfect for today’s breakfast. I noticed that they have a ton of flavors to try and that even the seasonal ones seem to be year round. Want egg nog flavored coffee in July? Why not! I want to give that toasted marshmallow a whirl in something next time for sure! I can see why the guys are such big fans. I will definitely head back again soon!

I love this place. The people are always friendly and it’s a great atmosphere if you want to hang out and get some work done. I’m not a coffee guy but my friends tell me they like it. I drink tea and it seems they have about a dozen to choose from. Also like the local art scene there. Always a great way yo srart my day.

Definitely the cutest coffeeshop in lombard with tons of seating and tables for working, talking with friends or relaxing with the paper. A little on the pricey side, as is typical of «upscale coffeeshops». Also they serve gelato, and other bakery goods and are within walking distance of the lombard train stop. Given the limited options in Lombard this is your best bet!

I was excited to find this place on my route to work — an indie coffee shop! Yay! Corner House’s interior kind of blew me away: modern, cozy, and spacious with various seating options. Magazines were stacked on the end tables, cute vases sat on the tables, and the different lights(and fireplace!) were very inviting. The coffee I had was good, too. The older gentleman behind the counter was happy to see me and eager to answer any questions I had. I felt welcome. The few times I’ve returned haven’t been as delightful. At some point between visits, the management changed, along with the brand of coffee. The drinks are just OK. My latte was just a latte. My smoothie was ‘meh.’. The pastries were nothing to write home about. The faces behind the counter were tired and indifferent. Somehow, the cheerfulness was sucked out of this place. I don’t know why. I want to love this place. I love supporting local businesses. But… not this one. For some reason, a lot of people seem to love this place, but I’ve yet to be impressed. I still drive by here every morning; yet, I’ve never felt inclined to stop by again. Oh well.
