What a joke for a business I call and ask how much for 24 wings. The reply was 18 bucks. Funny thing was, I was looking online at their menu and it said 14.25. Its bad enough that the pizza isn’t all that great.(it taste better the next day) But I like to support businesses in the area of where I live. But if you are changing your menu prices, it would be smart to change them online as well. Or honor the mistake, otherwise have it removed. Very unprofessional staff. Tony im not doubting you’re a good guy. But you need to rethink the employees and the way the PR is handled about your establishment.

Good pizza. Plenty of toppings. Sauce ok. Crust a little thicker than used to. Could not eat salad as dressing was not good. Had delivery to local hotel and was within time told when delivered. Overall ok.

Don’t waste your time or money! Go right across the street for a brick fired pizza with fresh ingredients that will be read in under 10 minutes.

The running joke about this place is, «How long do you think those people have been waiting in there for their food? 2 hours? 4 hours?» Slowest place in the world.

Great food, and great customer service. From the time I ordered and picked up my food everyone made sure I was taken care of. Once we got home our food was still hot and tasted amazing.

Awesome find. I never actually knew that they were downtown and Lombard. The ribs are awesome and tonight I tasted their stuffed pizza. I am in heaven. I actually ordered lasagna to go to take home for tomorrow night. Get Lombards best kept secret and if you haven’t tried it you need to.

My family eats here regularly. We get pizza take out about 3 times per month, and dine in about 2 to 3 times per month. We have been visiting for about 1 year. The pizza is the best in the area. Yes, the pizza does cost more than others in the area, but I am willing to pay more when I know I am going to love it. We have tried about ¼ of the menu so far. It’s hard to order different things when we particularly love our favorites. Every meal we have ever had has been fresh, flavorful, and large portions. My husband and I are no teeny meenies, and we still have to take home food in a box. The caprese is wonderful, and we eat a lot of seafood options. Always cooked right, always delicious. The staff is always warm and friendly with us, and we have never had bad service. Ever! We have waited a little long on occasion for an item. This may infuriate some customers, but I enjoy my family’s company, the atmosphere, and we don’t go to a sit down restaurant and order appetizers and meals if we are in a huge rush or particularly impatient. But, that’s just us. Also, the restaurant is clean. That is very important to me. I peeked in the kitchen Christmas Eve to say good night and thank you for a wonderful meal. Clean! The dining area, clean! Maybe the previous years they had trouble getting it all together, or were too focused on filming their show. I don’t know. All I know, is this past year that we have visited, it has been worth it every time. We will continue eating here for years to come.

I don’t like this place. The worst part of the restaurant is the service then the food then the bartender. The service took a really long time and they didn’t refill my water. I ordered a eggplant parm and they gave me a chicken parm. I didn’t want to make a scene so I ate the chicken. I don’t like chicken very much. The bartender was laughing loudly with the drinkers at the bar. I felt intimidated because they kept looking over at me. I didn’t like them laughing so loud. When I came back from the bathroom they had cleared the table I was at so I didn’t finish my meal. I told the waitress but she said I ate most of it. I didn’t want to make a scene so I paid and left. I don’t want to go back to Capone’s.

Really good pizza the place is small and crowded though and was very loud I also didn’t appreciate that there was a bottle of wine sitting on the table when we were seated since me and my girlfriend are in recovery from drugs and we don’t need to have temptations right in our face other than that it wasn’t a bad experience over all I would have their pizza again if I was in the area

To start our eveing out waitress did not even get our drink order until we had been sitting here for about 10 minutes. 10 minutes later we placed an order for a Spinach Artichoke Dip. Which we later found out they were out of stock. Our food took at least 45 minutes. During that time we finished our drinks and bread. No sign of our waitress the ENTIRE time! By the time our food came it was not very good. The pasta sauce was watery and tasteless.

I have to say, this is a pretty solid restaurant. The pizza is good. The service is good. I really have no complaints. It’s never disappointed me. The only negative I can say is that it is kind of pricey compared to the other pizza places in the area and I never see coupons or deals. I would order more often if I could afford it! Tip: you want something different try the Capone’s family pizza. It’s awesome.

This isn’t a bad review of the food(not that we tasted much), or the wait staff(they did the best with the situation they were given) but maybe more of a management issue. Myself, my husband and two others went to the Lombard Cruise night that’s hosted every Saturday. The event in general was very busy as we expected, especially since a well known Beatles cover band was playing that night. Around 7pm we went in to Capone’s to eat. The wait staff seemed… rushed as soon as we walked in, but there were open tables so the place wasn’t full to capacity or even had a wait list. We only waited ten minutes because they had to clean the empty tables. The first thing I noticed was that the four waitresses were all bringing their handwritten checks up to the front counter and I realized it was because not only did they not have a POS system(computerized order taking) but all the waitresses had to share ONE small hand held calculator to add up the totals for their tables. Then they all had one credit card machine to use as well. So while one is adding up the food total, bar total, tax, etc the rest have to wait to use the ONE calculator. Honestly, my first thought was… are they more interested in ringing out every last dime of profit than getting his/her waitstaff the tools they need to do their job? This immediately struck me as a huge negative. The hostess that sat us was very nice, apologizing for the(short) wait. The waitress then took our drink orders, was friendly, and brought them quickly. We ordered and waited for our soup/salads…and waited… and waited… and waited. The waitress apologized many times stating they were so busy and«slammed». Honestly, they were full, not even every table was full but they were what I would consider a normal amount of people at dinner time on the weekend. So about 15 minutes later our soup/salad came out… which seemed like a bit longer than it should have considering this was a side salad and soup but in a bowl. Over the next HOUR our waitress told us our food would be out in 5 minutes…5 minutes…5 minutes. I actually felt bad for her. She told us that their food is not«pre made» but«made to order» so it may take a few extra moments. Well, I appreciate that this is made to order but actually a lot of restaurants are. Not all, but a lot. I don’t care how«made to order» it is… it doesn’t take an hour to make fettuccine Alfredo even with the shrimp. So after an hour and a half since we walked in and still hadn’t gotten food… we paid for our soda, still gave the waitress a decent tip because it’s not her fault, and got the heck out of dodge. The people at the table next to us who were seated right after us were about to do the same. As we were leaving the waitress and hostess were very apologetic and stated many times that they were just really busy and everyone kind of came in at once and they just got slammed all at once, but in reality this was a very normal dinner crowd, busy, but not even full and nobody waiting. They did have food being served outside since it was a Cruise Night with people walking up and down the street checking out the cool cars, but if they’re going to do that, and make that extra money(which they were because that line was very very long), they need to make provisions within the entire establishment to make up for it. Bottom line… they seemed to have a lot of money coming in… without wanting to put money towards supporting their staff, or their customers. The food looked good from what I saw on other tables and the staff seemed to be doing their best. I really wanted to like it, I like the old school feel to it… food just was not coming out.

I’ve really tried giving this place several chances… and I waited awhile to write this overall review(over a 4 visit time period) and I just, can’t. I keep trying to find something good with each experience and I haven’t found a single one. On three occasions we dined in, the last we ordered takeout. Everything is horribly overpriced, the portions are small, the service is horrendous and the food that you do get is either over seasoned or has no flavor whatsoever. The salads are virtually drowning in dressing and nothing ever tastes«fresh». It really is a shame because we live in downtown Lombard and would love to find a place we could walk over to and enjoy lunch/dinner on a regular basis. We’re definitely a couple that truly gives repeat business and I’m done giving Capone’s a chance. I also think it’s pretty pathetic that some distant relatives are trying to ‘cash in’ on the Capone family name, if you’re going to open an «Italian» restaurant, do it right. I mean, you should at least be able to get a caprese salad and baked mostaccioli right, and they can’t even do that. I have absolutely no idea how this place is still in business… avoid it.

This was among the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. First, the good: Spinach artichoke dip was legitimately good, especially if you like garlic, which I do. I guess the bread and oil was good when we sat down. That’s it. The bad(the rest): Once we got our drinks and put in the order for an app, it was a good twenty minutes before we were asked about ordering entrees. The restaurant was not busy, and our server was mostly just standing around. I feel bad for the server-in-training that was shadowing her. As for the food, my friend ordered the caprese salad. Simple enough, right? Apparently not. The basil looked dark, brownish and old, and the tomatoes were pink. It was entirely unappetizing, and he sent it back. Other friend got the chicken parmesan sandwich, which I did not try, but he was adamant that you could get a MUCH better one at Portillo’s/Barnellis in a third of the time. I got the chicken francaise, which is supposed to be a lightly battered chicken breast with linguine in a butter lemon sauce. They got the sauce part right, but the chicken was essentially just covered in scrambled eggs. Not kidding. Check the photo I uploaded. The pasta was also undercooked. Poor service, poor food. I don’t know how this place stays open, to be honest. I don’t know how it could take so long for food to arrive, and it still sucks so bad. If I were in the kitchen, I’d be embarrassed to put the food out that we received. In short, save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

I had Carrie as my waitress I believe she is related to the family but she made my experience on of the best. She was very knowledgable about the menu. I would go again only if Carrie could wait on me. Check it out great food

A +1 and I stopped in here around 9:00(they closed at 10) for some drinks after we closed out Brick’s. There was some delay in being seated, as the hostess and a busboy(?) seemed to be rushing about. We were seated after a few minutes, though, and were the third table of guests seated. They didn’t have any coffee drinks listed on the menu, but we were able to order decaf coffees(they made a pot for us). The décor is REALLY dated; the tablecloth we had(I think they varied throughout the restaurant) was mustard-yellow fabric that looked like it came right out of the ‘70s, along with painted fruit/flower dishes seemingly from the same era. The pictures of mobsters on the walls are interesting to look at, but a little kitchy with the label-maker labels. It’s clearly a family-run place, as it seems the family gathered at a large table in the middle of the restaurant closer to closing time, and said goodbye to us on the way out. I can now say I’ve been to Capone’s, but sadly I can’t speak for the food. Maybe on another visit!

Ordered a to go order and there was a live roach in my daughters Cesar salad. The managers explanation was that they don’t live in cold climates(like salad) as if it couldn’t of crawled in there. Offered a pan of mostaccioli NO thanks!!! I think a full refund of our 50 dollar order would of been appropriate since 5 people ate and got sick to our stomachs afterwards from the site of that. Oh and the bottom core of the lettuce was in there as well and the fried mushrooms were horrible. Not handled right at all.

This place is disgusting. Every time I have been here has been due to the convenience of the location. The pizza is the only thing they have going for them… I ordered a salad once and it was floating in dressing. After telling the waitress she ask if I wanted her to drain it, and never came back. Nasty… Besides this food… The service is HORRIBLE. Will never return and I actually tell people to steer clear

Lunch buffet for $ 9.99, not bad! They had cold salads, warm Italian dishes and pizza. They also had a desert table. We overheard that you can get a soup nd salad buffet for cheaper, but really? Any who, they had lots of cold salads, my favorite was the tuna sald and the roasted veggie salad. For a meal I had some chicken vesuvio, at least that’s what I assume it was, chicken limon, sausage and peppers and a calzone looking thing. The white pieces of chicken were very dry, but the dark meat was tender. The chicken limon was really tasty, it came with fettucini. I ate only the peppers from the sausage and peppers, it didn’t look like Italian sausage and after Ang P tried it, she confirmed it was dry and it might have been turkey sausage. The calzone was the best thing that I tasted at Capones. It had a crispy crust and the inside was filled with cheesy goodness. The rest of the pizza looked very tempting too. The desert table included a fruit salad, brownies, cookies, cupcakes(which looked store bought), cake and pudding. I’d probably return to have some more of that calzone and pizza, but the rest of the food I’ll pass on. The service was a little slow, although the ladies were friendly to us, it wasn’t really packed so I’d kind of expect more.
