Lee Friend’s Tree Service Inc

Don’t purchase firewood from this company, the wood is wet, not seasoned, like we were told and they will not replace it. Bad for service because, we know a lot of people that need firewood in this area. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody!!!

My condo-association’s Property Manager hired Lee Friend’s Tree Service to prune several trees.
There’s a nice little PDF file issued by the US Forestry Service (
) which explains what proper pruning technics are, and what not to do.
Unfortunately, LFTS did not care about proper pruning practices. The simply cut wherever they could reach or felt like — resulting in Tipping, Topping, Flush Cuts galore, use of climbing spurs — all of which are harming the tree, injuring it unnecessarily, and making it susceptible to Canker Fungi and other diseases.
If you care about your tree (and who does not?) this company is not the right one to use.
Aside of that, wouldn’t you want an «expert» to advise you on proper tree care and legal requirements? The crew at my place was not even aware of the Atlanta Tree Ordinance, not to talk about obeying it. I don’t know whether they advised our property manager about it or not. I do know, though, that there are quite some penalties for harming trees unnecessarily, so their «service» put the association at risk for legal problems and financial penalties.
They did clean up nicely, I have to say. That’s the only thing positive I can find…

I needed 3 trees taken down. These guys were fantastic. A very reasonable price and a great job. Very professional, well mannered and did a great job cleaning up after the job. Honestly, one of the best experiences that I have ever had in home services. I will definitely tell the neighbors and give them a call the next time that I have tree problems.
