Stopped here on my way back from New York. We didn’t have much of any expectations but we were blown away. The twilight fries are delicious and so are the burgers on their homemade bread. I definitely recommend stopping.

Good place to stop whilst on highway 80, especially if it’s morning. Came here around 8am on a Tuesday on our way out of New York and the breakfast was great. Had an egg and cheese sandwich which helped me out of my state of tiredness. Lots of hunters were there, it’s a no nonsense normal diner, nothing special and that’s what I like about it. Don’t expect any fancy teas or coffee, just good prices and small towned sensibilities. It does take forever for your food to come, just be prepared for that!

I have come to this diner once or twice a year on an annual roadtrip from New York City for ten years. It’s always great. We love the Mac n’ Cheese. This year, our eleventh year, we came to Twilight as we always do, and the place was painted, the menus were new, the place was«nicer.» They were also out of Mac N’ Cheese. And it took forever for our food to come. And we ordered expensive sandwiches(for the place and where we were and what we got) and were served chips instead of fries with them. They took forever for our food to arrive and I was with two small children. They also brought out two plates first and took forever to bring out the rest. The staff was friendly, but only in a fake way, never once did they actually care that they were out of their signature dish or that it took forever for our food to come. I used to love this place. I don’t anymore. The Twilight Diner may be nicer, but it’s definitely not better. Can’t believe they were out of Mac N’Cheese…how hard is that to keep?

Folks, I don’t know where all those good reviews came from but we went to the Twilight Diner based on the reviews and will not go again. The breakfast food was good for our table of 3, especially the potatoes. However, it took at least 45 min for the food to arrive. I had just informed the waitress we were leaving and received a chilly response. She had told us they were busy but most of the tables were empty and there were less than a dozen people. If you are a sinus-sucker in blaze orange, or a housewife with rollers in her hair with nothing to do then this is your place. Order a beer to go with your dinner because you might have to wait that long.

What else could you ask for in a diner? Not much. Great food, friendly staff, and a bright, clean interior. Hidden gem on I-80.

Phenomenal food. Ordered a cheeseburger with their house bread, thick toast and twilight fries. The food was very good and so was dessert. The waitstaff was very friendly and funny. Great experience.

Passed by this place a hundred times traveling on I80. Stopped in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Good omelet and pancakes.

A solid diner experience. Homemade bread on the sandwiches. Great service– speedy too! We had the mountain sandwich and milkshakes… yum.

Fun to stop off and see if they have any of their diner mugs for sale. Food is reliably ok, service good. Very friendly staff.

I’m addicted to the twilight French fries. They are topped with cheese, bacon, bar-b-Que sauce and ranch dressing. I also like the tea berry waffle ice cream cones.

Absolutely awesome. I’m from New York City and was out here doing a gig the previous night. Came across here on the drive back towards the city and I was more than satisfied. I wish there was a diner just like this in the Bronx. No complaints whatsoever from the service to the food… If only I could come back some day.

Very solid place. Much better than expected from the outside. Don’t worry if you see no sign from the interstate. We didn’t either. We had breakfast: omelet, egg, French toast were good. Especially French toast. We think the service was good. The only cons are that the omelet had a bit too much cheese and the bread came pre-buttered.

The family stopped here for a quick breakfast on way to NYC. Pros– convenient, close location to turnpike, cheap(omelette $ 6 – 7), decent diner food. Cons– atmosphere is run down-odd, small basic breakfast menu eggs, pancakes, toast etc.(no goat cheese truffle omelettes going to be found here). Lol

Such a quicky place, run by a hard-working and friendly family in middle of nowhere(sorry Loganton, PA). You can grab some soft serve, a six-pack, have breakfast in the diner, or enjoy the mountain view on the deck. A unique blend of blue collar workers, amish, and familes can mingle in harmony. The breakfast rocks and the hash browns are to die for. Our server was super nice and ran the whole front of house and still took time to chat with us. Then she added our poloroid to the wall. The pancakes were also killer.

So the interior is seriously, blah. Dated, somewhat depressing, like the«before» picture in Robert Irvine’s Restaurant Impossible. Anyway, The food was simply… OK. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, just a simple grilled chicken salad and some chili. The chicken itself was nicely grilled and tasty, but the way the carrots and onions were chopped for the salad were so unsophisticated that I thought… ‘is my mother back there hacking up this stuff?’ ps, my mom freely admits she hates to cook, and her prep work shows! The chicken salad was pretty basic, some raw onions, cucumbers, lettuce and carrots. That’s it, and it was missing something… The chili was simply OK, it was filling but pretty basic. I like to have some toppings for my chili,(cheese, raw onions, sour cream) but they just serve the basic chili. If you’ve ever had the chili at Wendy’s, that pretty much is what this is. But on a good note, the waitress was super friendly and did a great job.

I am from NJ and have high standards for diners. With that being said, not terrible. Ambiance is average but the food was good on this 5 hour road trip.

Two of us stopped by for a quick lunch while we were passing through on I-80. The food was OK and the location was convenient. However, we had a terrible experience in service. Our order of two sandwiches took 30 minutes to arrive. When we asked the status of the order, the waitress rudely said«I am not responsible for what’s going on in the kitchen.» We also saw another group leaving after waiting to get the menu for 5 minutes.

I was a little nervous stopping here; it looks pretty run down from the outside. But the service and food were top-notch– exactly what I’d expect from a good diner. I ordered the Mountain Sandwich, which is basically a chopped beef steak served on thick toasted and buttered homemade bread. It was really tasty ! My husband and I also ordered corn nuggets as an appetizer and they were tasty and arrived quickly, as did the rest of the meal. Attentive and friendly staff and clean bathrooms as well. I would definitely stop back the next time I’m in the area.

Stopped in mid-way through an 11-hour road trip and were happily impressed. Trying random restaurants in what seems like the middle of nowhere can be iffy, but it’s also an essential road-tripping element. The food here was great — we had a stromboli and(I think) some kind of burger. The waitstaff was friendly, but service was a bit slow. That worked fine for us, as we needed a break from driving anyway.
