No one bothered to fill me in on Hobby Lobby. It’s a craft Mecca, a soccer mom paradise, a Michaels on steroids… Ain’t no joke! They’ve got tons of good promotions throughout the store, containers, and to my surprise, some furniture! Who would have thought? Because it’s a huge store, it’s quite possible to spend hours looking at beads and sequins, fabrics and acrylics. Pretty neat find in Logan where chances are, you’ll need a hobby anyway.

I love Hobby Lobby. Their selection is second to none. Their ability to keep up with the crafting universe is superb. I visit this location almost weekly. BUT… The employees at this location are miserable to deal with for the following reasons: Unfriendly. Unhelpful. Unwillingly to remind you about coupons. Uneducated about their own sales. Oh, and their bathrooms are disgusting. My ankle biters won’t even use the women’s because it’s too dirty. Doesn’t matter what time of day.

Worst customer service ever! Every time I go to this store, the line takes FOREVER and they have one, maybe two cashiers. Today, after waiting in line for almost 10 minutes, I tried to return a picture frame without a receipt. I was told that without the receipt they could only give me the lowest sale price. I said that was fine, I had bought it 50% off anyway. After checking with a manager, AND the frame department, I waited for an additional 15 minutes! That’s 25 minutes, just to check out!!! Customers behind me in line gave up one-by-one. After all that waiting, I was told that they couldn’t find it in their inventory and therefore the most they could give me back was 90% off the original price.(How is it my fault that they can’t find it in their inventory?) What is frustrating is that there was nothing I could say to argue with this. I bought the frame just a couple weeks ago and now because they can’t find it on the shelf, it must have been a clearance item?! They don’t have barcodes or way of scanning merchandise. What a TERRIBLE way to run a retail store. I don’t plan to shop at Hobby Lobby again, although I can’t say I’ll be missing all that much. Their merchandise is all cheap and crappy anyway…
