I have been coming to tillys for 12 years now. The food use to always be fresh and amazing. Since the new ownership the quality has gone on a downhill spiral. I ordered a breakfast sandwich for my son and the bacon was burnt. I asked for mayo and I was charged 50 cents. I come here atleast twice a month for coffee with friends. I have tried and noticed the quality of food has become horrible. A rock hard scone, Hard muffin, fruit cup that was horrible. I really hope this changes. I love the atmosphere of this shop.

Humble environment. I try to go here every Sunday for my Iced Almond Roca Mocha. Quality coffee. Haven’t had their food yet but the coffee is Sooo good. And the employees are so sweet.

Ordered a breakfast sandwich w bacon. Got egg salad, Ton of mustard on a toasted bagel w American cheese at 9 AM… Wth???
«Fine» food does not include microwaves or coffee creamer in disposable plastic servings!

I really want to love Tillie’s but … While the concept is good, coffee, tea (with real choices), and a decent lunch menu set in a cheerful garden atmosphere… it just doesn’t quite sell me.
The staff are difficult to warm up to. I find a lot of chatter and gossip going on when I stop in.
The décor in the place is lack luster though inspired. I think it is a case of imagination not turning into fruition.
Management would be wise to train up the waitstaff to be costumer forward and to freshen up the décor —- at least keep the walls and light fixtures super clean. And don’t get me wrong, Tillies is clean enough but the walls collect dust.
Lastly, the prices aren’t bad… but for the price, you have to give better food or more of it, since the service just isn’t there.

I work in the area and was craving a good coffee recently. Asked siri for the nearest coffee shops and she brought up this place. So glad i decided to give it a try. Ordered the medium, iced white chocolate raspberry truffle. It was delish. While waiting for that coffee to be made, I read over their extensive sandwich menu and thought about how delicious they must all be. Returned today and ordered the Californian. Tasted like thanksgiving. Awesome, awesome, awesome. All employees for welcoming and friendly and I let them know how great everything was. Will definitely be my new go to spot for coffee on workdays and perhaps on off days as well.

— Good location
— Cute murals on the walls
— Pretty good selection of sandwiches and drinks
Cons:
— Employees seem self-​involved and not too concerned with customer service
— Most of the items I have had (multiple sandwiches, a few desserts, coffee and tea drinks) were 3 stars at best. Their coffee is particularly bitter no matter how I seem to order it.
— Prices aren’t that great
It’s fine if you are downtown and want a coffee or quick snack but definitely nothing special.

Had a wonderful lunch. Sat outside, ordered the «arch» sandwich, grilled chicken with pesto on ciabetta bread, it was very good. Also had a side salad which was a good size lots of fresh tomatoes and croutons and fresh ranch dressing.

What happened? When in Lodi I always went to Tillies for their garden salad, fresh cold greens topped with red onion rings, tomatoes, cucumbers and croutons. Today the salad was warm, old looking lettuce, dark chopped green tops only, no crunch at all! The usual toppings were so small, cut so thin I could hardly see them let alone taste them. I was asked if I wanted onion, which was so funny because the red onion was cut so small and so little used why bother to ask! This is not a cheap salad either but today’s salad had about 50 cents of ingredients… too bad, I doubt I will go back. Oh and a suggestion to the staff… when customers are standing at your counter, a look of acknowledgement that the customer is waiting or has a question is just good customer service!

I love tillys. Always go there in the morning and grab a glass and refill my coffee at least twice before I get to work. Kim and aurora are the best and really friendly!!! If you like gourmet coffee, this is the place!!! Has a really nice zen inside too

I enjoyed the food very much at Tillie’s. What I didn’t enjoy was the dirty and stained carpet and generally run-​down, unclean look about the place. Not so much the kitchen — it looked ok, but the carpet really got to me.

Ordered a sandwich to go. Got home, took a bite and discovered the turkey was missing! Called to express my displeasure and ditzy young girl just laughed and said «oh, well». Asked to speak to manager and was told there isn’t one. Then asked to speak to the owner and was told they didn’t know when she would be in. Left my name & number and days later received a call from an unapologetic owner who told me I could either get a refund or another sandwich. Haven’t bothered to return in over 2 years, and won’t.

I love this place! My go-​to coffee shop in Lodi! Not only are all the girls that work here absolutely amazing, but their work ethic is awesome. The really strive to get to know customers outside of just their coffee or food order.
Their coffee: Amazing. I was searching around Lodi for a coffee shop that actually used espresso or real coffee with caffeine, in their blended drinks, and believe it or not, this is the only place that does! Not even Starbucks can keep up with that. My boyfriend and I swear by Tillie’s for our coffee dates on weekends.
Their food: So creative and fresh. Their sandwiches have all the right combinations, and tastes that could satisfy anyone’s lunch cravings. My personal favorite is the Hard Luck!
I highly recommend this joint for all your caffeine and lunchtime needs ;)

3 outta 5 because we only had after-​breakfast bevies on the front patio to take a brake from strolling downtown. Echo other comments that the ladies who run the place are friendly and add a welcoming energy to the place. Has an iced Americano — delicioso! Back again next time for a sandwich!

Stopped in recently while taking a walk downtown. Although I’ve had food at Tillie’s (love their Chinese Chicken Salad), I only ordered an iced tea to-​go. Service was super friendly and the tea was yummy. A quick in-​and-​out.
*Cash on hand is best for this establishment.

Some definite improvements have happened here since my last review. The food is of better quality, enough so that I am now a fan of the club sandwich here. The employees here are much friendlier and the credit debit situation is worlds better. I’ll be coming around more often!

I just love the girls, the sandwiches and the atmosphere. My favorite is the baja chicken sandwich.
Tillie’s has the best soups, salads, scones and smiles in all of Downtown Lodi.

Cute place in the middle of downtown. Had to get some nourishment to continue our day of winetasting. Had a turkey sandwich w/​blue cheese and bacon. Very tasty!
