Cardinal Richlieu(Prime Minister of France in the 1600’s) once said: «If God forbade drinking, would He have made wine so good?» Its my personal philosophy that wine consumption is completely acceptable and symbol of refined culture. I was in my local market when I stumbled upon the Talus Collection. Their 2006 Cabernet has a soft, dry body that caresses my inner being. To date, I’ve purchased four or five bottles of this vintage. They do not have a tasting room as of yet at their home winery. Conveniently, it can be purchased at most supermarkets or anywhere wine is sold. Depending on the kind, a bottle can run from $ 8.00 to $ 17.00, although I found the Cabernet at Ralphs on sale for $ 5.99. It’s a great first-class wine that the common man can afford. One does not have to be the Prime Minister of France to drink this drink.
