Amazing pie, if you haven’t tried it, you are missing out. The food was well prepared, prompt and fresh. The wine is also very good. Just joined the club, call me a sucker but it will be worth it.

My sister who lives in Portland had come out to be in her high school BFF wedding .The wedding was in Lodi where her BFF lives. Afterwards I picked sis up Sunday morning and we headed over to The Café for brunch. We arrived around 1030am and were told it was about a 30 minute wait. Several others arrived after us but the wait was close to the 30 minute time they had promised us. We had already reviewed the menu while we were waiting so when we were seated we knew what we wanted. I ordered the basic farm breakfast 2 eggs, toast, potatoes, and ham. I really love the pie here so I ordered a slice of the boysenberry pie to go with my meal. Sis ordered the chicken and waffles. Fried Boneless chicken filet and Belgian waffle. It was covered with a maple gravy. I tasted it and it was interesting but not great in my opinion. My pie was delicious as usual however I was disappointed they did not offer the peach boysenberry or the strawberry rhubarb which are my favorites. Our server a Hispanic lady with an accent was energetic, helpful and always smiling. Lodi and Stockton do not compare for brunch options to Sacramento and of course Portland however they still have Elk Grove beat! Would recommend if you are in the area for breakfast or lunch but don’t forget the pie!

Breakfast was solid. It’s great to good breakfast option in Lodi, since so many of the places are barely diner quality. Tasty blueberry pancakes, good omelets and I had a tasty heuvos rancheros.

This place is super close to the RV park and after having some of their wines before we knew it was our first stop. We came on a Sunday at 2pm for lunch, it was busy but we got seated right away. We had the lamb burger and chorizo chicken sandwich, big which were specials. We ordered the potato salad which was the best I’ve ever had, it’s mustard based and lots of fresh dill, yum! The fruit on the side was super fresh as well. Both of the sandwiched were AMAZING!!! The wine is just as tasty, try it! We will be back again soon! They also have tons of pies.

We come often for breakfast. Good menu. Very nice garden and wine tasting area. Kids can run around before or after meal.

Terrible experience from start to finish. Undercooked chicken would have been bad enough but the spider on the plate was the more pressing concern. And it’s not just the food that got me, the staff and service were inattentive and dismissive. So many better options in the Lodi area, suggest giving any one of those a try over this spot.

Holy cow, where do I start? We came for breakfast on a Thursday, so no crowds, but it was more than half full, even at 10:30. Service was great. The menu was very appealing, with both big and light meal options. Each plate came with amazingly fresh fruit, a giant strawberry, slice of apple and orange. My breakfast burrito was huge and delicious, with lots of options for my ingredients. My husband’s eggs and sausage were great. This really was farm-fresh food! The strawberry jam was fresh made, as was the salsa. The bill came to$ 25, and my breakfast burrito will also be lunch today. To top it off, I picked up a lovely array of fresh fruits and veggies for the weekend, and wine tasted, all before noon :) I can’t wait to visit again!

Just an FYI that breakfast ends at 1130 here on the weekends. Most of what I found online said breakfast all day(until close at 3pm), which is incorrect.

I’ve come to Michael Davids Winery numerous times and always noticed the longline of people and packed restaurant at Phillip Farms, and wondered is that place good. Well after church on Valentine’s Day, I had a crazy idea to check this place out. We arrived at 845am, and there were only 2 groups waiting in front of us so we decided to wait. And glad we did! Service was amazing! And the food was delicious! I ordered the omelet with chorizo, bacon, cheese and avocado, but I think the lady didn’t hear me when I asked for it so it did not get on my plate. Hash browns were tasty and their homemade jelly is to die for SO slather up your toast as it’s mind blowing! My mom ordered the chicken fried chicken that was awesome! I kept stealing pieces off of her plate! I’m craving it now and can’t wait to go back and order this myself!!! We also ordered the a la carte Belgian waffle with strawberries and bananas. Yum yum yum! All in all great experience and can’t wait to come back and try again!

Bad long exp waiting only cause the hostesses gave my table away to someone else with my name. Next time she should ask of a middle name. I even did some shopping as soon as I came in to prove with the time on my recite that I had been waiting lil over 30 mins with my 5 year old. However the service from the servers and the food has always been great. But they need to hire a hostesses who I knows what she is doing and can handle a busy flow.

I’ve had breakfast three times here now and every time is better than the last! The weekends are super busy so if you have the option of going during the week I’d recommend it. I get the veggie omelet with ham added, avocado, salsa and sour cream on top, with a side of country potatoes(that are cooked perfectly, seasoned well). I opt to replace the toast with a side of the house made breakfast breads. The apple-pear cinnamon is amazing.

I grew up in a family full of fermenters of wines and beers. We did not have commercial wine tasting events unless you had out-of-town friends over who were interested in having a snoot full. Even so, I can tell if a wine(white or red) is table worthy by its smell long before tasting it. Since most wine tasting is commercial biased in romantic savoir faire, it’s also personal. It’s important to the individual’s pallet so, I’ll leave my critique to the important part of this stop, the restaurant. From being guided to our seats by a maitre d’, and served by excellent staff of servers, the food faire is delightful, quick and intelligent. I’ve always been irked by a waiter who interrupts a conversation while we are trying to eat too. It’s interesting to me when a server can take your order, serve you coffee or tea, deliver the meal,(breakfast and lunch only), and check on the attendees progress without trying to shove you out the door in time for the next customer and their tip. Even when tey are busy, these seem to be the basic instincts that drive the good servers of this establishment. And gets at least a 20% or better tip from me. The meals are not too creative yet, they are delicious. I hate going to a breakfast nook already smelling the fried foods and burnt garlic and onions wafting into my vehicle before the car is even in the parking lot. You know the spot. Well, Phillips is above this trick. The grounds are kept immaculately clean and orderly. However, the most important reason for stopping, the BIGSECRET, that is not too well hidden is the pie. Yes the pie stop is better than the wine. CAVEAT! If you go for pie, make sure you order it first before you leave, before you’re seated. I say, their pie is worth the stop all by itself. The problem is that too many know this secret and that they are made fresh daily. Thus, they’re gone daily too. I’ve made the mistake of wanting that last apple pie only once before we sat down. By the end of breakfast, I was heartbroken to find that it was gone until the next batch the next day. Daily means daily. Never again! I get my pie first before I get seated. By that I mean before the maitre d’ can get the words out. «Good morning.» she queries, «Table for two?» «Not without the pie!»

Loved this spot. So worth the extra mile off the 5. Eggs are fluffy, steak was well prepared and country potatoes that are nice and big. The jam and bakery bread are very tasty! Service was sooooooo great we had a very sweet server.

I had the ultimate and substituted the pancakes for their seasonal pumpkin pancakes and it was the most delicious meal I had had in a REALLY long time. The sausage was absolutely phenomenal! It was not greasy, it was the most natural tasting sausage I have ever had. The country potatoes were great and the poached eggs were perfect! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Oh the best part was the price! For myself, my daughter and my husband we left with a $ 35 bill which included coffee for me, 3 meals with substitutions and a kids milk. Highly recommended!

This is a great stop for breakfast just a couple minutes out of town on hwy 12. The service is a little slow during busy hours but friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and fresh. Love getting to sample the house made breads and desserts while yoy wait for your table. Make sure you check out the beautiful grounds outside while you’re there, too.

The service was decent and accommodating with our daughter. We enjoyed the special Tri-Tip, blue cheese, asparagus salad. It was quite the treat. The meat had a great grilled taste and the asparagus had a nice crisp after being mildly grilled. The price was $ 10.95 and we felt it was a nice value. I visited the wine tasting counter and was snubbed while waiting for our food. I sent my husband to get me a glass of symphony to enjoy with our lunch-he is very social and was also made to feel less than welcome by the girls running the wine bar. We will definitely enjoy the café again since we visit the area often!

My husband and I love this place! They use farm fresh ingredients from their own farm! From the eggs, the fruit on the side to the tomatoes they use for the dishes, it definitely makes a difference in the taste, it’s absolutely delicious. We’ve been here for breakfast and lunch a few times. Even the jam they give you for your toast is homemade from their farm-fresh fruit! Even though we live 46 miles away(in East Sacramento County), it’s a great quick weekend drive to experience the country feel of Lodi and especially Phillips Farms. In the back of the winery/restaurant, they have a beautiful garden/lawn area, where our 2 year old loves to run around after breakfast.

This place was recommended by our niece — so glad we stopped to have lunch! Everything is farm fresh. I had the bbq tri tip sandwich with potato salad. My husband had the cheeseburger! Their baked goods are baked on the premises. Food was amazing! Totally recommend if you are visiting Lodi!

Excellent breakfast! Super cute small farm fresh restaurant… Fresh farmers market inside with produce that is grown right outside the door! Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes are out of this world! Staff very personable & friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some good old home grown country cooking!

I love this place! The staff is so friendly and nice! The food is great, it tastes like real food. It really does taste like they brought the food in right from the farm! They have chicken and waffles and pumpkin pancakes on occasion, which are divine!

I really love the Farm Café and MD Winery. The food is great, service is usually good, but the prices are high for the dish that you receive. I enjoy coming here because it is a small country like atmosphere. The staff is always nice. Hopefully I will find a dish that fits the price one of these days.

To begin a wonderful day of wine tasting a friend and I stopped here for lunch. Our server Marina was delightful! She’s everything I miss about Texas. She’s polite, energetic, and attentive. She greeted us and quickly got us our drinks. Their menu is pretty diverse. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that they offered«Pozole». I didn’t walk in here expecting to see that on the menu. They have various salads, sandwiches, and different breakfast place. I opted for the Tri-Tip BBQ sandwich which was delicious and full of flavor. It came with your choice of potato salad, chips, and fruit. I chose the chips and fruit. The chips are bagged but still really good and kettle cooked. It’s very fairly priced. My bill was a whopping $ 6.50 for the sandwich and a glass of iced water. I’ll most certainly come back and visit here when i’m in the area.

This café is under the same roof as the tasting room of Michael-David Winery. We had brunch here before heading over to the tasting room. We tried their omelettes with bacon and sausage. It was good. They give you hashbrowns or potatoes and fruits with it too. The service was great. There was a line when we went but it went by pretty quick.

Lunch was delicious. We got the turkey and the tri-tip sandwiches. My dude loved both but I have to say the tri-tip was the best I’ve ever had. The potato salad was dill-riffic and the fresh squeezed lemonade was great too!

I had breakfast here on a Saturday morning and first the service was excellent. I had the ultimate breakfast, which was good. But I also had the pancakes which were excellent! I love the ambiance here, with the wine tasting and little market right in the same spot. It has a lot of energy, which is a great thing to get you started in the morning. I would go back to try some of their pie.

I’m just going to keep coming back and coming back to this good olé hometown cooking. You must try the chicken and waffles. Now I’ve had the OG at Roscoe’s and this is nothing like like, but I don’t believe it intended to be. This is just great country food. There is bacon cooked into the waffle. YESBACON! It’s served with two boneless chicken tenders and it’s all smothered with this syrupy gravy. The portions are large enough to share. Especial if you wan to sample you dinning companions food. Oh I almost forgot. The homemade jams. If you don’t eat it all you can take it to go because your going to be dreaming about it the next morning. And the service is as great as the food.

Farm Café on Highway 12 on the way to Lodi from I-5 used to be, for my kids, a mandatory stop. They would stop here at least once to experience Farm Café’s humongous Breakfasts and maybe get one of their seasonal pies, or try their variety of Breads at Breakfast or Lunch. DUHHH! What happened since last year! Did Aliens take over this restaurant? Is it the Economy? The lack of qualified help? Something has changed at the Farm Café! Kevin, my youngest son, and I had Don’s Breakfast($ 7.95) — A VERY small Breakfast that only consists of two Eggs(Scrambled only) and two Link Sausages and your choice of Toast. When the plates for Don’s Breakfast came out… Kevin and I looked at each other saying to ourselves«Wha’ Happened?» «Where were the Potatoes?» We looked at the menu again… NO Potatoes! I guess we deserved what we got by NOT reading the menu item completely and relying on last year’s memories of OTHER Breakfasts! Needless to say… we were both still very hungry afterwads. I have to admit, though, the Link Sausage was some of the best tasting Link Sausage I’ve ever had. And Kevin mentioned that he could taste the freshness of the Eggs. $ 7.95 for almost NOTHING! Whomever Don is… he must be someone on a diet. Kathy, my daughter, ordered the Breakfast Sandwich — which was a Egg, Sausage and Cheese Sandwich($ 5.95). Kathy also had Belgian Waffle topped with Strawberries and Whipped Cream on the side($ 6.95). She also looked perplexed at the diminished quantity of food! Kathy shared some of the Belgian Waffles with her starving Brother and Father… and I must admit again… the Maple Syrup provided with the Waffles was SUPERB! I usually NEVER complain about the wait-staff at the eateries I frequent, as they are an inconsequential part of the meal. BUT… today I have to mention we had the DENSEST waiter I have ever run across! The waiter cited all the toast options to us Wheat, Sour Dough…(wait…)(wait…)… My dughter interjected after a delay that seemed lke minutes… «White!»… The waiter exclaimed«Oh, yeah!». Let us do the waiting, and have the waiter sit for a change! And, it seemed like the meal came out over thirty minutes AFTER we ordered it. An intolerable amount of time as there was only one other table occupied at 10:30am in the morning! And it goes on and on… re-filling the Coffee after consumption of a cup of Coffee took forever! Are we complaining, or what? We might never come here again on my kids’ subsequent visits…
