I have gone here before and the older man who is always there is very nice and welcoming BUT today there was an art show going on and there were man probably in his 40’s that was very rude, unwelcoming. He didn’t not acknowledge us as we looked around when I decided to leave because the uncomfortable feeling we had, I said«Thank you and have a nice day.» He grinned as though he was laughing at us and continued to be rude by not saying anything and watching us leave. He really made me not ever want to purchase anything there again. He doesn’t deserve any profit with the awful costumer service. I hope this helps the man fix and better his costumer service.

So yesterday I was trolling(I love that word!) antique shops looking for a vanity I saw 2 weeks ago, that I just decided I had to have. Unfortunately I found out it was sold:-(. I kept walking throughout downtown and saw«The Antique Group» with some interesting antiques out front. I walked across the street, and now that I had a better view, I saw a carousel horse in the window, which is what I have always wanted! I went inside and asked the man behind the counter how much. Well I will say, if the owner of the horse drops her price by a few thousand, I will buy it. Lol it’s a wooden horse, not one I can ride and save gas on. While looking through this place, and I must add, there are LOTS of really nice, interesting, one of a kind items here, my other half found the PERFECT desk for his office. He has been looking for over a month, so I was happy he finally found one. The price the owner gave him was literally A STEAL! It is a gorgeous mahogany colored wood, that is well made, very antique and I have not seen one quite like it in my 36 years on earth! I spent about 40 minutes looking throughout the store, and I saw tons of things I wanted, but in reality, I don’t «need» it. There are absolutely beautiful chests, armoires, dressers of all sizes(all antique looking) old fancy hats, tons of china, old jewelry which includes one of a kind brooches, rings, etc. There is even an old Indian statue that you would see in some old western movie! Life size Indian to guard your house! I love it, there is so much stuff to check out, and even some«fun» things for a good laugh. It is like walking through a fancy antique shop in Carmel or San Francisco, and it’s in Lodi! So if you feel«stuck» in Lodi, and want something no one else(at least not your neighbor) has, stop by «The Antique Shop» on Oak Street in Lodi. I will definitely be back, and hopefully the Carousel Horse will be a few hundred… hint hint:-)
