I love the food and the service … Very hard to beat if you love handmade pasta like I do!

We had family here last Saturday night from L.A., Hawaii, and Sacramento, there were 10 of us. We have always been impressed with the food at Pietros and were looking forward to another great meal, and an opportunity to host our family. We were horribly disappointed. From the gray colored sole which was one of the specials to the so called risotto that was nothing more than rice, to the greasy and sugary tasting rigatoni, this meal and experience will be our last here.

You know it’s going to be good when you see fresh vegetables and herbs growing right in front of the restaurant. Walking in I was impressed by the rich dark wood décor. Next to the Host desk there is a display of a variety of imported cheese, cured meats and homemade prosciutto… another clue that this is going to be good. There is a small full service bar and outdoor seating. The outside court yard dining area is protected, nicely shaded with even more fresh vegetables and herbs growing around a water fountain in the middle. In a few words I would describe the restaurant as excellent service, friendly, quality, classy and romantic. For dinner we started with the calamari and antipasto. The calamari were strips(not rings or tentacles) in a breaded crust with two sauces, red and white. The antipasto had olives, pimento, stuffed cherry tomato, cheese, cured meats and prosciutto. I’ve got stop here and mention the bread! Fresh, still warm from the oven, homemade bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. WOW I would be happy just eating the bread for dinner, that’s how good it is. We all shared a side of ravioli(signature dish) and gnocchi. The ravioli was good, but the gnocchi was excellent. Soft and warm gnocchi, the texture was like firm bread dough and the pesto sauce was creamy and cheesy. For the main course I had the Veal Saltimbocca which came with a dinner salad. The veal topped with prosciutto and, fresh from the garden, sage leaf in a cream sauce. Came with green beans topped with garlic olive oil and spaghetti with red sauce. The desserts looked really good too, but after all this food there was no way any of us could have dessert. Maybe next time I go there I’ll save room for dessert… maybe.

One of if not the best restaurants in Lodi. Service is outstanding. Everything we have tried on the menu has been excellent. Love the outdoor garden. Can’t say enough good things about this place. The best! I forgot to mention the bread. Unbelievable

Love the food and service here. No matter why I have tried it all has been very tasty and always hot no matter how big our group is. The owner comes around check on you to ensure you are pleased with the food and service. Can’t say enough good things about the staff and restaurant. I can’t wait to celebrate my birthday there this year.

We had a great experience here. They had a 45 min wait time for a table so we sat at the bar. We were served by Angela, the bartender and she helped us craft our food experience for the evening. The best seats in the house are at the bar. They also have a TV there so you can watch sports games. I had the May special dinner, farfalle fungi — perfectly cooked pasta and the crème sauce was thick and rich. My friend had the pasta trio and the pasta also was perfectly cooked. Meat sauce was good with the lasagna, ravioli was very good, Then we had dessert. We had the tiramisu and the Italian cherry sundae. The tiramisu was fabulous and the Italian cherry sundae was the perfect flavor blend of the vanilla bean gelato, Italian marinated cherries, whipped cream with pistacho accents. It was an awesome food experience. We highly recommend you sit at the bar and have Angela help you. She was awesome. We will come back.

Took my parents here for dinner the other day. The owner overheard my husband talking to the waitress about birthday dessert for my mom. The owner went out of her way to give her a generous gift and dessert. Very impressed by the new menus and excellent customer service.

I visited on a Saturday night for dinner and was glad I made reservations. The server was great and attentive. We sat outside, which is a really nice area. Dinner was super tasty; my friends and I enjoyed the burrata appetizer, the meatballs, homemade ravioli, antipasto salad, pizza and pasta pomodoro with chicken. Pietro’s bread is house-made. Yum!

We made reservations and came a bit early to have a glass of wine at the bar but were pleasantly seated quickly so they brought our wine to the table. The food here is just so delicious, fresh and authentic. The bread was so fresh & warm and I usually don’t eat bread, but we asked for seconds. The meatballs are a must, so so good! We sat in the room towards the back patio area and it was extremely loud. For that I am taking away one star. We packed up half our food so we could have dessert. The Affogato is amazing! This is worth the 30 minute drive to Lodi!

I don’t eat Italian much since leaving NYC but this place was awesome. The service very friendly and attentive. I mentioned that I love matchboxes and the waitress immediately grabbed me a handful. Dining alone does not mean you’re ignored. They must be mindful of when you finish one plate and ready to move to another because my entrée was hot and ready not long after my salad was done. Definitely worth stopping by while you visit a winery or two or three lol!

Best Italian food in the valley. Always quality service and food. The owners are always there. A clue to why the quality is so good. I ordered the chicken picatta and chose the minestrone soup. The soup is the best minestrone I’ve ever had! The picatta is excellent. Always served with pasta and veggie. I love the spaghetti. My SO had the chicken scallopini. He always gets it with ravioli. He loves their green salad with their homemade red italian dressing. We love this place! We have NEVER been disappointed with any meal. Love the family & their wonderful restaurant. Always our first choice when we are in Lodi.

Courteous service. Gorgeous patio. Excellent food. I had the eggplant lasagna this time which isn’t really lasagna, more like a layered eggplant parmigiano but wow. It was soo delicious. The veggie side was broccoli that had been picked from their own restaurant garden. Super fresh. If you are on the 99, stop in and give it a try. Packed on a Wednesday at 12:45 pm. Says somethibg, right?

Ha. Believe it or not, we were only wearing t-shirts and if this place turned out to be too fancy for us, we were going to try Popeye’s. But they let us in anyway. I knew it was going to be somewhat special when I noticed herbs ‘n’ stuff growing outside the front door. Best. Bruschetta. Ever. Done perfectly, just the way I like it, no trying to get fancy adding octopus suction cups or anything like that. Just grilled bread, olive oil, basil, garlic, tomato, a little parmesan. Regular bread was pretty damn tasty too. Great veal, wonderful WONDERFUL string beans. Thank you SOMUCH for not doing squash or some other«throw-away» vegetable. Done perfectly. Nice big cup of espresso and cookie for desert. OK, calculating distance from my home town. Three hour drive. Hmmmmmm. You know, that may not be too far to drive.

Love this place!!! Great service and EXCELLENT food. This is my go to Italian restaurant when near Lodi. Heck if I get a c raving I will drive there. It was my first visit but my recommendation is the mushrooms risotto. The taste adventure will leave your tongue begging for more. The lasagna was pretty good too but the mushroom risotto took my breath away. We stuffed our faces and had leftovers. Unfortunately we stuffed ourselves because we couldn’t stop shoveling food down our throats so no dessert. Next time we will ourselves and try more tasty items.

Wow, wow, wow. I was truly impressed with the amazing food and dining experience at Pietros. From the amazing gardening and farm to table concept to the outdoor patio and fantastic service everything was wonderful. My parents had been here a few times and have always said great things so we decided to come for dinner on a Friday night. I was worried bc we didn’t make reservations but we figured we would get a drink while we waited. To our surprise there was not a wait although it was very busy! We sat on the patio/courtyard which was very beautiful! Wish I remembered our servers name but she was great! She recommended lots of great vegetarian dishes. We ordered the bruschetta for starters which was one of the best I’ve had! My parents and I shared the gnocchi with pesto and also the Pene al Pietro. They have an option to make their dishes spicy which we obvs did and it was the perfect kick! They use a roasted Italian pepper and I’ve never tasted so much flavor in my pasta, def recommend it if you are a spice eater! I was truly impressed with all the extensive garden they have outside. From tomatoes, basil, eggplant, lemons, they have it all! I love the farm to table concept and wish more places in Stockton/Lodi would incorporate it more! Can’t wait to bring back more friends and family to try!

Wow… I can’t say enough good things about Pietro’s in Lodi! First, I have to commend them for being on Open Table, because I wouldn’t have found them without having stopped by that website to make reservations for dinner in Lodi for 7pm on a Saturday night. We arrived for our reserved time and were seated right away… yay! The hostess was chatty and friendly. We were immediately greeted by our main server and given waters, then time to peruse the menu. Our co-server came along next to introduce herself, and asked if we wanted anything else to drink. Though their alcoholic drinks looked great, we were alcohol’d out from tasting wine all day(we were in Lodi for the Wine & Chocolate weekend). After quickly receiving our drinks, our main server returned to take our orders… Let me just say that EVERYTHING looked and sounded good! Having looked at their menu online already(I always check Unilocal before trying somewhere new), I knew I was getting the Pasta Trio, comprised of homemade ravioli(you could tell they are homemade and sooooooo good!), spaghetti with pesto sauce and pine nuts(nice to break up the red sauce from the other two entrees) and lasagne(delicious!). Hubby opted for the ravioli with meat sauce, and he loved it. Oh, can’t forget about the awesome buttery bread with garlic butter they bring out for you… yum! And we also ordered the meatballs with grilled bread appetizer, and those three meatballs were divine! Yummmmmmmm! Needless to say, with all that food, we got nowhere NEAR finishing up everything. But that’s okay, because I didn’t have to make dinner the next night and Hubby got to enjoy more ravioli, lasagne, and delicious gravy for a second time. I’m glad we discovered Pietro’s, and will now be sure to eat there every time we hit up Lodi. Do yourself a favor, and try this little gem out! It’s soooo good! :)
