This place is mediocre at best.
Fun crowd maybe once in a while.
Nothing impressive. I’d much rather go next door.
But the patio is nice.

Hey, David at the outdoor bar is a good man. Tip him well. He closes at 1230, so make it to his patio.

Best place for fun, friends, locals and great drinks. Outside patio is awesome, especially when live music is playing. If you’re looking for a club… this is not your place. BUT if you are looking for an awesome atmosphere with all different age groups, great drinks, friendly staff and a FUN time… GO TO THE BEST BAR IN LODI-OLLIE’S PUB!

This place is guaranteed good times without breaking the bank. They have the best Guinness in town, bar none. The bartenders are knowledgeable and really friendly.
They have their own special shots and cocktails on the chalkboard, but also can make pretty much whatever you want.
It can get pretty busy on the weekends (especially if it’s a holiday weekend) so plan accordingly and try to go early. It’s always a good crowd of people just having fun; haven’t really seen any fights or nonsense like that. If it’s too packed inside the bar, check out the back patio. There is a bar out back and usually a lot of room to move around.
I prefer going on weekday evenings when things are a little more quiet and laid back. Usually I go with a couple buddies before catching a movie at the theater down the street. We order a few Guinness’, a few pickle-​backs, play dice or Uno, and have a really great time.
There are also a bunch of TVs there for sports too.
It’s a really cool bar. You should check it out.

On St. Patrick’s day this year (2016) — my wife and I went to OLLIE’S for the 1^st time. We had a great time — seeing people from high school. The hospitality shown to my wife and I by the owner of the bar had me feeling like I was a celebrity.

I’m not a huge Unilocaler but given the circumstances and the treatment I was shown at this bar I have to share, hopefully preventing it from happening to anyone else.
Being a black woman in an interracial relationship is hard enough to deal with in our society, and my visit to this bar made it even harder. My husband and I were visiting Lodi this week as we have heard so much about their wine. We walked around the thrift stores for awhile and stumbled into this Irish Pub Ollies later in the evening.
As we approached the bar to order a drink (2 beers) we were ignored and passed by for about 20 minutes. Finally I flagged down the bartender and before even ordering the bartender said «sorry we don’t have Hennessy» alluding to the fact that all black people drink Hennesy. I was so shocked I had to ask him if he was talking to me. The bartender began to laugh and said «what do you think» My husband immediately grabbed my hand and we left the bar.
I can’t imagine the type of place that would discriminate against anyone let alone their own clientele and make racial slurs. This ruined my entire trip and my experience in Lodi. Please be warned no kindness or courtesy will come from this bar of bigots.

Went by yesterday, Saturday. And to my surprise i was treated like garbage. Funny thing is, one of the bartenders was telling a friend of mine (he had no idea we were there together) that they wanted me out because i left a bad review on Unilocal.Ended up getting kicked out for no reason at all. Horrible establishment. Owner has no idea how to run this place. He actually messaged me on Facebook upset that i gave him my initial review and asked that i remove it!
Never. Going. Back.

The only place I go for drinks! Always have a game on, always friendly people, and ALWAYS some laughs. Perfect spot downtown, close to the movie theater, bookstore, cheese shop, not to mention shopping! Can’t beat it!

So we went to Ollies on Friday night at 12:15 AM (technically Saturday morning) to celebrate after a wedding. Arrived to both bars half full and the usual security outside. When we walked up he aid «Can’t come in we’re not letting anyone else in tonight.» We asked him why since the bar was obviously not even full. «The bartenders have had enough»… At that point one of the bartenders walks out and gives the security the «no more» sign…
Seriously? So I’m going to assume the security guy and the bartender aren’t the owners of the place and make management decisions based on whether they feel like working or not? Tell me if I’m wrong.
A half empty bar and they turn away paying customers… Must be Lodi.

Update: finally had the special Saturday version Mary. Meh, liked the others I’d had previously BETTER !

Love this bar, the bartenders and staff are all great and make you feel very welcome! Make sure to try a starburst shot, tastes just like the candy :)

Great location downtown! We came in just for a beer, but looking at the reviews, we should have tried their mixed drinks!
The beer was well priced and the servers were normal, nobody was overly nice, but I didn’t experience anything douchy or rude either.
I liked the feel of a very low key bar, good variety of people.

Jerk people. Jerk place. Save your money and go someplace fun. First minute I was there there was a fight.

For the most part when I go out to bars in lodi I prefer to come to ollies. I’m from lodi so I have been to many of the bars here in town. I usually come here after work and have a couple drinks, Jerry the bartender is pretty cool every time I go in he makes sure I am attended right away. The environment is pretty good people are friendly as well as the bartenders. They have really good beer, the place is always clean witch is a big plus ! If your coming to lodi to catch a movie or something I would recommend stoping by ollies and having a drink !

Saturday night, we decide to try the new «upscale» part of Ollies, next door. It looked like a nice atmosphere from the outside. This was around 9pm, and we were the only patrons. Soon I could figure out why–
1. Rude bartender– you can’t take a rude dive bartender and throw nice clothes on him and expect it to be a good experience–
2. Never once asked how our drinks were–
3. Was much more interested in his phone, and the two young girls that came in than to check in with us.
4. The kicker! My husband ordered a 13.00 shot of whiskey, expecting it to be 13.00 on the bill. Nope! 18.00! When we questioned, he rudely explained, because he got the shot on the rocks, it’s now a two ounce pour instead of a one oz. He stated «yeah, we’re going to fix that on the menu». Does that make any sense???
Will never be back, not for $ 32.00 later– and I’ve already told my Lodi friends–

Best bar in downtown Lodi hands down.
It can get a little crowded, but that’s because it’s the best around.
Staff is always friendly and working hard.
Drinks are always good!

Best pint of Guinness I have had since I was in Ireland. They pour it perfectly. And the draught system is the only one I have seen west of Dingle that looks like the actual ones in Ireland. They have a spectacular selection of Irish Whiskeys, many of the same you find in a real Irish pub.
