I wish Unilocal had a ½ rating star. I feel like this establishment deserves a half star. Oh well. We sat at the bar to have lunch. We ordered our drinks(after waiting 10 minutes) and an appetizer. The appetizer was a «pick two» deal for 12.95 or so. We received 6 shrimp and 6 mozzarella sticks… WAYOVERPRICED. It would have been great if someone… anyone at this point would have checked back on us to make sure the food was right, more refreshments and the rest of our food order. So disappointing. I understand why there was no one in the joint. Please, so yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Not worth the stop. I am guessing this is a touristy place and they really don’t have to try.

Stopped in here because it was Sunday and the School Street Bistro wasn’t open and that is where I usually go when lost in Lodi again. What a disappointment. We had brunch and ordered Eggs Benedict but they were out of Canadian Bacon so we ordered something else. You get unlimited«Champagne» with brunch and it was terrible obviously a bulk process sparkling wine that had very few bubbles and was sweet and flavorless. The orange juice tasted like it was out of a can not fresh obviously. And the biscuits and gravy that comes with every meal was a gloppy gluey and cold, yuck! The service was haphazard never really knew who the server was and the prices for the quality were high! All I can say that is positive it that the portions are huge so if you want a lot of food and don’t care about the quality very much here is a place to go! Needless to say I will search elsewhere when I am lost in Lodi on a Sunday.

If you’re looking for a place to do a party or event, this is a great place. Even though they do not have a private room, the restaurant it large enough to feel separated from other customers. We hosted my dad’s celebration of life here last Saturday. There were about 50 guests. I had worked with the owner to create a menu, where guests could pick among 3-entrees choices(we chose prime rib, salmon, and a chicken pasta dish). We received many compliments on the food. There was plenty of waitstaff on hand, and all of the food was consistently at the proper temperature when it arrived at the table. Especially impressive was the salmon, which was cooked just right — not dry at all. This event was very important to us and we felt very well taken care of. We are very happy that we chose to have our event here.

I’m not sure if it was the large party we had, or if this place just sucks. We were seated at long tables and it was very cramped, not only for us, but for the waitstaff. Three people at my table, me being one of them, ordered the daily special. On this day it was an 8 oz steak with prawns. The prawns were good. However, none of the steaks were cooked correctly. This is a huge pet peeve of mine. If you are going to bother asking me how I want my steak cooked, then you damn well better make sure it’s cooked that way. I did order the tiramisu for desert and that was lovely though still a little frozen in parts. I really wanted to like this place but I can’t. I will say that it seemed the people who ordered sandwiches fared better. If you go, stick to the sandwiches.

I don’t think I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant where you get a soup or salad to start with, before your lunch entrée(no matter if it’s a sammie, burger, etc.). Nice touch! I stopped here for a meal before heading off to do some wine tasting and this definitely offered a good wine-absorbing tummy full of tasty food. As LMoo P. wrote, go hungry! The décor in this place is amazing. All kinds of movie set pieces everywhere you look(yep, even in the ceiling — bathrooms too) and its supposedly owned by a movie star(of course, we forgot to ask our server who). Our server took great care of us, the place had tables for lunch but wasn’t terribly busy. We ordered off the burger/sammie menu mostly — I had a really good BLT wrap(loved the sweet tater fries), my bf liked his calamari wrap and everyone left the restaurant full and satisfied. Service was great. Food is reasonable for the huge portions you get. Even if you don’t go for the food, if you’re in downtown Lodi, stop by here just to grab a drink and check the place out. It’s got enough movie paraphenalia to entertain you for at least one round…

Go hungry, the portions are huge and you get a soup(the lentil soup tonight was the bomb), a salad(iceberg lettuce with some legumes on the side), garlic bread(kind of disappointed with it), and your entrée. Our server was fantastic. She was prompt, our food was hot and plentiful and the water was refilled many times. The décor is interesting but the little train on the ceiling is kind of annoying if there’s not alot of people to diffuse the sound of it. Old washrooms — but it’s in an old building so you can forgive that. The scallops were the bomb, the fresh side of green beans were very yummy and the spicy chicken and asparagus pasta dish was good but could have used way more asparagus and less pasta(dude, there must have been a whole package on my plate). Overall a nice place for after kayaking on the river.

Amazing staff, food and wine! The atmosphere is something new to look at too! Felt very welcome to an «old town» for visitors… Skip napa, come to LODI!!!

We went to eat here to try it out after its move from Woodbridge after a move away from Lodi. I remember the great atmosphere they had in Woodbridge. It was a really great place to eat, BUT The first thing that hit us is THEPRICESAREWAYTOHIGH for Lodi!!! Who can afford these prices? Its not the same atmosphere and seems more unfriendly and not the cozy comfortable feel it had in Woodbridge. The prices were so high I ordered only a appetizer, which are way overpriced. In the beginning the service was ok but during the meal we had no one come by and couldn’t get service. I doubt we will ever eat here again. Certainly not the Best or the Worst, JUSTWAYTOEXPENSIVE.

TERRIBLESERVICE!!! Went for dinner and had the bartender as our waitress, who kindly let us know she was hung over??? Never checked on us once! The bus boy had to serve our food, fill our water, and bring our check 15 min after we were done. We had to walk up to the bar for a re-fill on wine but no one helped us up there either!!! Then we gave it another shot for the unlimited champagne brunch! Ha what a mistake! Had to ask for the all the items that are supposed to come with it. For 15 people we left a $ 5 tip… and even that was too much!!! Go to Woodbridge Crossings instead!

By the name, I didn’t think it would be very nice inside, but to my surprise the inside was decorated very nice and to the theme old movies with life like props hanging from the ceiling, a train running around its track over head. Full bar, great food, some spicy stuff but good and best of all excellent service. Price not too bad either. especially for the consistent friendly great service. I will be back.

My boyfriend and I went for Sunday Brunch. Food was amazing and they give you a ton!(We shared our meal). Service was great. Highly recommend. The décor confuses me and if I wasn’t from the area and didn’t know that it used to be Movie City or whatever it was called, I would probably be put off by it.

Such a waste of ideal location and atmosphere. The restaurant is wall-to-wall eye candy. What could go wrong??? The food. The prices. The variety. $ 100 tab for family of 3. Went once, simply cannot go back.

My gf and I went their for brunch. It was our first time. It’s in a great location in the downtown area. I like the whole movie theme, it’s cute. It kinda threw me off at first because the dinosaur in the bar and alien next to our table kinda creeped me out but I got over it. Their brunch menu had so many options. I chose the french toast, eggs over easy, and sausage. It was delicious. They give you large portions of the french toast, so yummy. They also give you a muffin basket(I didn’t have any, no room in tummy) and biscuit and gravy, which I love. The biscuit was a little too firm at first, it was good but not exceptional. Mimosas included, which I am a huge fan of. Servers were friendly nothing too exciting. It looks like a fun place for groups and to hang out at the bar. We’ll see.

I went in on a sunday late morning for brunch. I sat at the bar and ordered a bloody mary. The bartender filled a glass with ice, added orange juice and then mustard. I stopped her and reminded her that I ordered a bloody mary. She informed me this is how she makes them. I then requested the traditional method. She dumped the glass, refilled it with ice and started again. The glass at this point was lined with mustard. I then told her to cancel the drink as I would be doing something else. I could just imagine what the food must be like at this place. I left and found another place to enjoy brunch. Oh, all the cheesy movie props in there are a bit much. Like something from a nightmare after a bad meal.

Went here during Asparagus Fest weekend. Had the angel hair pasta with chicken and asparagus. Just ok. Lots of olive oil on the plate after the pasta was gone. Flavor overall ok and asparagus & pasta both al dente-good! Chicken bland. Side salad with several wilted greens and bread very generic. The big plus was the friendly staff and servers-very accomodating and kind.

Not overly impressed. The menu is limited and the prices are very expensive. I’ve been here twice and both times I felt like I was getting ripped off. The food is actually pretty good, but not worth the price. The atmosphere is really cool(movie nostalgia and props), but you cant base your business on this. The location is great and they have allot of potential but they really need a better menu and more reasonable pricing. On another note, there’s a huge sign outside that advertises $ 8 long island ice teas… really? You’re advertising $ 8 long island ice teas, that’s just dumb and makes no sense.

After perusing the streets of Lodi, my parents and I decided to stop at Feed and Fuel for lunch. Good choice! The place is so interesting to the eye. Its movie themed and has lots of movie posters, actual outfits, and props. Including Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Trek, and my favorite, the HUGE T-rex head from Jurassic Park coming out of the ceiling! Very fun. Kids will love it. Yummy peach lemonade. Awesome garlic bread! Chicken barley soup was just ok. Each entrée here comes with bread, and soup or salad. You will not be left hungry. I wish we had skipped on the grilled asparagus. I was expecting a bunch of little hearts. But you get one big grilled asparagus and most of it is not edible. A rip off. I had the veggie sandwich on focaccia. It was huge and very good! My mom had the mango calamari wrap and did like it. But as a wrap it wasn’t tight and went all over the place. My dad had the caribbean chicken salad. It was so so for him. Service was ok. Overall a surprising find given that it was in Lodi.

I was crushed when I heard that there was no more Woodbridge Feed & Fuel… now Lodi F &F. I had such great memories of my dad taking me there and buying me a Shirley Temple. Woodbridge will never be the same for me. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend the chicken parmigiana… amazing! Oh well, at least Movie City is out of this prime corner location! That place only served nasty food(but cool decorations). This is a great place for birthday dinners and large groups.
