The best place in Lodi to workout! This gym is great because it’s 24 hours and I sometimes have to workout at late hours while all other gyms in town close way too early. It has the biggest variety of free weights and machines with special Olympic Lifting and power lifting areas. All the cardio you need!(even a Jacobs ladder) I don’t have kids but the day care is also included for free I hear. All the aerobics classes are also included in the membership. They have a full basketball court and tanning too! The reason I LOVE the gym though is because of how simple it was to sign up! When I first walked in, I was greeted immediately and after a tour we filled out the paperwork right there. Took less then 2 minutes to get signed up as oppose to In Shape taking almost 45 minutes to give their pitch. There is also no huge outrageous sign up fee like the $ 200 one at In Shape.
To sum up, if you’re looking for the BEST gym in Lodi and don’t want a hassle signing up, Fitness System is the answer.

Best gym in Lodi, hands down. Friendly staff, 24/​7, HUGE weight floor, dope basketball court and just a great environment to workout at. Great trainers — Summer is super sweet and nice. Doug is TM (The Man) — super knowledgeable, and always down to answer questions whether it’s with diet or training.
Open all night so if you can’t sleep and need to take your mind off things, this has been a great place for me. Reasonably priced for what you get. Tanning and supplements available. Shittin all over inshape!

This gym has everything you could ever need for the fitness fanatic or beginner. I have been treated like gold. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They’ve helped me so much. Give it a try. I highly recommend it.

This gym has a real bodybuilding feeling to it out of all the gyms in Lodi I recommend this one. You’ll stay in the zone instead of being distracted by all the talking.

There is only one reason I continue to go to this gym: it’s open 24 hours. That’s it. If you don’t need a 24 hour gym, I strongly recommend you try one of Lodi’s various other gyms. This place even stopped providing towel service unless you pay for an upgraded membership, citing «theft» and cost. I suppose it doesn’t matter, since they never had enough towels during peak hours anyway.
The facilities are lacking and they restrict use of the basketball court when there are tiny training classes in there (seriously 3 – 4 people, tops). Plus, the basketball court is horribly hot and muggy in the summer, but they threaten to revoke your membership if you prop open a door for air. Nevermind that the court becomes wet with sweat and can’t dry because there’s ZERO ventilation in there. That’s a safety hazard.
And did I mention there’s cockroaches? Check the photos, I posted some. Seriously, don’t go to this gym.

Beware of this gym. They will over charge you and you will have difficulty getting your money back. 39.99 is crazy expensive for a dump like this. In shape lodi is way nicer then this place. Stay away!

The best gym your going to find in Lodi period. Probably the best one you’ll find in a 30 mile radius. 24 hours, cheap monthly dues, clean and most importantly machines, free weights and cardio equipment galore without any wait. Old school gym with all modern amenities. Take it from a guy who has to go to 4 different gyms a week, this gym is second to none when it comes to actually working out.

I have had a membership at Fitness System Lodi twice in the last few years. Both times it has been a great experience. The equipment is better than any other gym I’ve been to in lodi, and the front desk has always been helpful. Everything you could want in a good gym is here.

The only place to go if your serious about transforming your body! They have everything thing I need from equipment to supplements. I really like all the people who work there they always make me feel good. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The best thing is how clean everything is. I love how they have every piece of equipment I could ever need. They always have great specials on the supplements I need. Must check out this place.

I hope it makes you feel good to state false things about me. If I like the gym so much why do I not go there and had to take a loss of money… I did nothing you stated in your review. Perhaps you work there and thought this would help. Read the other reviews. I think we are all telling the truth. Had I gotten a refund (which I did not even pay for it) but a friend did from another state I would have put a very nice review on here. But no compassion for someone with a health condition that was unaware of what the machines were really like… They are great for someone in good health but was only stating for myself. Enjoy the gym. IF they will let you have the rest of my membership I would be more than glad to let you have the month left of it because I cannot use it. Thank you. P. S. Best gym around by far! They have every piece of gym equipment you could imagine. When I first signed up, I knew nothing about working out so I decided to try a free training session (they didn’t hound me to try it, like other places do) I was soon hooked and I’m now in the best shape I’ve ever been in. I love that there’s so much equipment and that there’s always something to do… It’s clean and the staff is friendly and they always greet me when I come in. The staff is also fit and they know their products well so I have no problem asking their advice. Overall if you want a place where you feel welcome, no pressure and you’re interested in getting and keeping fit, this is the best place around!

This is a honest review I been a member 4 years. The staff only helps and give great customer service to certain individuals not everyone, the staff to my observance is rude and if your not in the «click» they will shun you off. The owner for years has been trying to update the faculty but it seems to always be off the mark. The machines seem to look as if they were bought from a used store or brought from Good Will. I just don’t understand why some individuals just walk in with no id and I HAVE TO SIGN IN every time. During the day most the machines are occupied, and hard to find parking. Overall its cheap and you pay for what you get.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The customer service is the worst! I have been a member for over 5 years and when I moved out of town I tried canceling my membership. When attempting to cancel they told me I was in a two year contract. I asked them, how I was in a 2 year contract when I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years. Long story short, this has been on going for about a year and they will not refund my money or stop taking my money from my account. They threatened me if I put a stop payment with my bank they would send me to collections. What a joke! And to top it off they have roaches, the nasty ones! They will have to just send me to collections, I’m done!

I absolutely love this gym its been my gym since I was a junior in high school and it love it! After recently moving back to Lodi from living in Manteca for 3years I was so please to be back at this gym.
One MAJOR problem the gym has is that at night around 9 – 12 when there is limited people there I’ve noticed on several occasions homeless men coming in and digging through the garbage’s for recyclables. This really needs to get taken acre of ASAP. the staff there needs to be more strict I do not want to be working out and have to be worried bout the homeless guys creeping around the gym!!!
Please take care of this or I will be forced to move gyms which would be devastating to me! :(

Friendly staff! Very welcoming and supportive of goals. Currently undergoing remodeling to update the building, so I’m excited to see the end result. Offers a variety of classes, large weight area (machines and free weights), basketball court, small private back room with medicine balls, kettle bells, etc, and a large selection of treadmills, elliptical, stair climbers, etc. Very reasonably priced and included free child care.

Every time it have ever been a member at a gym, it is usually ran by younger, snotty girls. I hate that. Fitness System does have younger employees, but they are all very nice and helpful. They never mind answering questions or taking concerns to upper management. They are very respectable.
The membership cost here is very cheap for what you are getting, and they have «no contract» memberships which is good for someone like me who has to move a lot due to work. It isn’t a hassle to sign up or cancel like most gyms, and you don’t get charged a fee. They also have tanning beds, sauna, steam room, and group classes such as yoga and spin class.
I would recommend this gym to those living in Lodi or those passing through for a bit.

I’m really trying to like this gym, but for the price (39.99 a month) I am having a hard time appreciating what this place has to offer… So let me start with:
THE GOOD
–Open 24 hours
–Friendly staff
–decent cycling/​spin room
–Free towel service (in exchange for your keys)
–The area (including the parking lot) is supposedly under constant recorded survellance/​security
–There are locker rooms, showers, a sauna and steam room, and a basketball court
–Decent selection of protein powders and other supplements priced moderately
–located right off of highway 99
THE BAD
–There is a one time enrollment fee of $ 40
–The classes offered are very limited
–Although most of the staff is friendly, they are completely useless… most of them cannot answer a question without consulting with another worker, and don’t even think about asking for a tour (they will tell you to just walk around and take a look)
–Outdated equipment
–Limited space for stretching: this building used to be an indoor skating rink, Fitness System left the building as is so the weight area is located in the area where the skating rink was and the cardio machines are situated around the outsides
–Old TVs located sparsely in front of the cardio machines
THE UGLY
–Has a warehouse feel (very cold in the winter time, hot during summer months)
–Childcare: hours are only 9am-​Noon and 5pm-​9pm, located in a small completely open corner of the gym, includes a small table for kids to do activities, and an old TV in the corner

Very cool lady by the name of Summer signed me up. Showed me around. Really great place, very clean… huge weight room floor… basketball courts… aerobics room… spinning…lots and lots of cardio/​elliptical equipment… tanning beds! You know how you can just tell some place is right for you. That was my feeling when I walked in here. Child care too!
