Best dog park in Lodi… but don’t go there. Why? Because you won’t like the clean, green grass. You will gag at the sight of nice, local patrons who enjoy talking to you and are friendly. Don’t get me started on the ease of parking. Way too much if you ask me. (see ya there)

Even though this really is a drainage park, it has a lot of wide open space. The people and their dogs are all very friendly. No drinking fountains for dogs that I noticed; nor does the park provide potty bags like the Stockton park. Another thing that bothers me, is that the park has two sides, off the leash and on the leash. The park is shaped like a horse-shoe, «U» shape. The north side(half of the«U») is off the leash where dogs can roam free and the south side has soccer fields. There are no gates separating these sides. My dog is a bit adventurous and curious, so I feel like I could only take her here when the soccer fields are not in use. However, we will be back. Nice people. Friendly dogs. Lots of space.

I have to agree this park is not nearly as fun as before now that only half of the park is available for off-leash while the other half is on leash, with no fence seperating the two. So far my dog has been mindful when he gets close to the line and I call him back, but the fear of the $ 250 ticket if he crosses the line has me looking for another place to play now.

Great park for the dogs! However they recently started enforcing the dogs to stay on one side of the park. Cops are patrolling and will ticket anyone who’s dogs are on the«human side». Yet, there is no fence separating the two sides. I don’t know how dogs are supposed to know not to cross the invisible boundary separating the sides. Dogs chase birds or other dogs and now owners need to be cautious of where they let their dogs roam or else they will get a ticket! Stupid. Anything for the city to earn a buck! Hopefully they put up a fence because this park is fantastic for dogs. I just don’t want to go and be in fear of getting a ticket because my dogs suddenly have a canine instinct to chase a squirrel or a bird!

This is a drainage park. When there is a lot of rain it gets several feet of water in it. If they forget to lock the gates you can take your kayak in and create your own adventure.(dont forget your life jacket and wetsuit booties.) As a bonus you can get yelled at by the guy from the city.(they wont even help you back up the hill with your boat, and equipment, they just stand there all indignant and watch. Would they really call the cops for illegal paddling. The sign didn’t say closed and the gate was open after all. But it was worth it to get some winter paddling in. Okay, as i stated, this is one of many drainage parks in town. Basicly a hole in the ground covered in grass. Fun to throw your flying disks back and forth(they used to have exercise stations which worked well for frisbee golf) and general enjoying the park. It is used for soccer(football) and other youth sports practice at appropriate times of the year. There is a large dog area and a small playground. There are bathrooms but they are usually locked. So be prepared.(go before you go.)

I like this park for the space however I wished there was a fence separating the part where little kids play soccer and the actual dog park because it seems like to big of a hassle to chase your dog around when little kids are running around going nuts. And it could also be a disaster if someone’s dog doesn’t like kids. I am lucky my dogs are trained! Also I wished they had disposable bags because people do NOT clean up after their dogs at this park as much as they should. Totally disrespectful. Also there is not enough seating and there is a HUGE sewer type drain thing and the dogs try to drink out of it. They should put a fence around it because its really gross…

This is by far my dog’s favorite dog park. He can run and run for what seems to be the length of 2 football fields… maybe more. There are hills and lots of open air for tossing balls. Great place to meet other dog owners. Watch out for one guy with a little yip yip dog. My dog was trying to sniff his dog and this pea brain pulled out some pepper spray and aimed it at my dog. I won’t finish the story, but I haven’t seen the guy at this dog park since.
