Friendly folks who know their stuff, always take the time to answer the multitude of questions my son has, and decent prices too boot. They have a lot of stuff crammed into the store, lots to see.

I’m currently serving an internship to be a wizard under the guidance of The Grand Wizard Sir Scott Sichta. He introduced me to the world of spells and magic. I don’t have my wand yet but Scott lets me practice with his. I purchased the eye of newt, worms wart and a flask of dragons breath. We will be working on a spell to reanimate some old classmates who left this world too soon during an Oark battle. Wish us luck!

I don’t always buy comics, but when I do I buy them here. It’s nice, I don’t feel like I’m being judged when I walk in and ask for the latest Archie. They have a good selection and a host of things other than comics. I’ve gotten some great recommendations on new books to pick up as well. very friendly and a great place to get back in to comics.

Definitely one of my favorite stores. I moved from the Chicago to Lockport and then right back again, but I wasn’t interested in going back to my original store. So Joe offered to mail me my comics once a month at no additional charge to me. Now that helps a lazy gal!
There was one occasion where I was mailed a title I never signed up for along with one I had cancelled. I called in and they put a credit on my account to go towards my next mailing. Customer service is definitely awesome here.
Aside from that, they even sent me some goodies from their Halloween sale event in my last mailing!
Definitely a great store. Friendly and far from judgmental or awkward like some stores. It’s a smaller store, but you miss nothing here.

Good size selection of manga — stuff you can’t find at B&N. I love the frequent buyer program — buy 10 graphic novels and get the 11th free (can’t beat that). Only complaint is that I asked if the store could order 10 volumes of a particular series for me, and the lady working there was super helpful and told me which ones she could get in for me. I left my email address with her and she said she would let me know when they came in. After two weeks I gave up and bought them all somewhere else. I don’t know if maybe she didn’t think I was serious? I would have been happy to make a deposit or something to confirm that I was going to buy them when they came in. But, I should have followed up about it so it’s also my fault — there may have been a problem getting them in.
Overall not a huge deal on that one and it won’t stop me from continuing to come back to check out their manga selection. Very happy to have a place like this in the neighborhood!

This is my favorite comic shop. My boyfriend works at a different comic shop, but I still shop at Amazing Fantasy. Yes– I love this shop so much that I’ll jeopardize my chances of getting laid.
They’ve got a great selection of comics and graphic novels. The 50-​cent back issue rack and discounted story packs are a gold mine. They also carry board games, role-​playing games, t-​shirts, manga, and collectible card games. If this location doesn’t have something, they can often find it at one of their other locations.
The real reason I keep shopping here is the friendly, helpful staff. On more than one occasion, they’ve given me free comics to read when I’m looking to try something new. They’ll always take time to answer questions or give recommendations.
