A pretty large farm where you can stop and pick several different kinds of fruits that are in season. You can stop by the farm store(the large red barn) to check the board listing of what’s available to pick. We stopped in early July and they had raspberries, strawberries, and cherries. The basic process is that you park near the area you want to pick. You can bring your own containers, which they weigh before you start picking and then charge you based on the net weight, or you can buy buckets and pint baskets from them. This is not very clear when you arrive – they have a bunch of buckets and baskets sitting out, and there are no signs indicating that you if you use them, you bought them. Each picking area has a little stand with a scale and cash register where you pay for what you picked. They accept cash there, although if you want to use a credit card the attendant will call it into the person sitting in the farm store who will process it. Everyone gets to listen to your credit card and amount being read off while they do this. The farm store itself has a selection of locally made cheeses and other food products, plus flower baskets, bulbs, and other miscellaneous crafts. They also have canned drinks for sale and restrooms.

Decided to stop by on a whim when we saw the apple orchard and signs for apple picking by the side of the road. We had never gone apple-picking before, and it was really fun! There were many varieties of apple for us to pick, and it was only 35 cents per pound. Their apple-cider is SOGOOD! It literally tastes like you’re drinking an apple! They also had a pumpkin patch and animals… a great place to take the kids!
