Without a doubt one of the best bbq places I have ever ate at! The prices are reasonable & the food & service is wonderful. Not to mention the best apple pie you’d ever imagine!

I have been coming here for years for the turkey sausage. The customer service is excellent. Every time I’ve called they had my order ready and waiting for me. The homemade bread is excellent too.

Wonderful family owned restaurant. Best bread & pies in town. Yummy beans, cole slaw & potato salad. Very friendly staff. You’ll never leave hungry.

I love the family friendly service at Innman’s. The food is fantastic! Definitely give the jalapeño turkey sausage a try. All the meats are savory and the beans are great also. Give them a try, it’s quiet, and the food is great.

We stopped here because Coopers was so full and we couldn’t wait that long. The brisket was very fatty and the sauce left much to be desired — thin and vinegary. On the positive side, it was fast and once you get your food, you can get what you need by self service. The people are nice and the sweet tea was good.

I was with a group of 4 today at 2:30. There was quite a few cars in the parking lot so I thought it would be a good alternative to Coopers. We ordered and in sometime under an hour we finally got our food. Are you kidding me! I realize there were some people ahead of me but I have to say this was excessive. I liked the country charm and friendly staff. I even like the spicy turkey sausage but the overall experience was a fail. Wish I would have gone to Coopers across the street.

My Dad asked us to pick up some Turkey Sausage from Inman’s on the way home for Thanksgiving. Wow!!! Just like I remembered from my childhood, when stopping at Inman’s was a tradition on the way to Lake LBJ. My husband and kids had never had the Turkey Sausage before — but they are big fans now and asking for more!

My hubby is from Llano so we visit often. Out of all the BBQ places in town, Inman’s is definitely our favorite. They make the most amazing turkey sausage ever! All of their meats are smoked beautifully, the potato salad is the best, the fresh bread is incredible, and their desserts are fantastic. The sweet tea is so good… yeah, just a great place for good Texas BBQ. When we go visit we always bring a cooler back with goodies :)

This place was a pleasant surprise in so many ways, and I’d have to say it’s now my go-to place for BBQ and much more when I’m traveling to Llano. If you’re in the area it’s definitely worth a visit. After work a couple of us head over and arrive just after 6pm. We walk in and it’s like a large bed and breakfast Inn, definitely has a small town feel to it. There are a lot of local items displayed for sale such as t-shirts, scented candles(like 50? of them), garlic-infused olive oil(awesome!), various jams, spreads, jellies, and — *whoa* — candied jalapenos!!! I tried some before in Austin from a different vendor(Blanco) and loved them, but these look darn good. At $ 7.95 for a large jar I think I’ll take 2 please! BTW — they ROCKED! Better than the Blanco ones! We were greeted by the cook, who may also be the manager or owner(not sure), he was slicing bread and handling the BBQ duties yet immediately greets us and gives us a menu at the counter and tells us to hold on — — he’s gonna give us a sample of their sausage. Okay, we totally dig the«try before you buy» offer — — and the turkey sausage was pretty darn tasty. We opt for the 3 meat combo dinner for $ 13.95, comes w/2 sides and all u can eat homemade beans and bread. We pay at the register and they give us a number and told us to find a seat until they call us up. The dining area is roomy w/plenty of tables, it’s not too bright yet it is nice and quiet which I like, and there’s a flat screen TV in the corner — — YES! Just grab the remote and change the channel to… who else but ESPN to watch the Sparty basketball game! AWESOME! I just need the BBQ and I’ll be all set. They call our # and we go grab our plates. There’s a bin of homemade sliced bread(white, wheat, pumpernickel) and — WOW again! The bread was so fresh and soft and quality good! Turns out these just came out of the oven, it was so damn good I ended up buying 3 loaves to take home. Honestly, the Best. Bread. Ever. The sauce and beans are in tins pots, but after we grab our share the tins disappear. We thought they were filling them up, but much to our surprise they were closing down. Hmmm, we checked the time, it’s 6:30pm — — what time do you close? «We close @ 6pm» — — she said. Oh my — — so now it makes sense. We walked in after closing hours and the door was still open and they still served us — we had no clue! «No worries», said the cook. «We’re used to staying open after closing and we will still serve you if we have food so take your time.» — — now that’s some nice hospitality! The Food: The chicken was awesome, by far one of the best BBQ chickens I’ve had — smoky and juicy. The ribs were excellent as well, just enough salt and seasoning, and very smoky, those are my top 2 must-haves. Their turkey sausage was solid, I would definitely get it again. The brisket was a bit on the dry side yet still had some flavor to it, probably a timing thing. I liked the potato salad and loved their cole slaw — which was more of a vinegar mix yet not too tangy and full of flavor. The sauce was very good and we couldn’t get enough of their homemade bread. A lot of reasons why this was a 5-star experience: flexible, friendly, and accommodating customer service — — with no rush even welcomed after closing time. The ribs and chicken really rocked the boat, the homemade bread is so damn good you’ll say bye-bye to your low-carb-gluten-free diet. They have homemade pies that looked fabulous, got a sweet jar of candied jalapenos, and the prices were very respectable and competitive. I didn’t have to spend $ 25 for a BBQ dinner like I have in the past at other local places, it was $ 13.95 and I had leftovers to take home.

I love Inmans. The turkey sausage is awesome. We always have a tray at family gatherings. The sauce is good and the beans flow freely. Walk in and order. Then have a seat. Beans and sauce and fresh bread are there for you to get as you desire as well as all the tea you can drink. Try the pecan pie.

I have been eating at Inman’s since the 1980’s before the original building burned and they even catered my wedding. There is a saying among Llano residents, «The tourists who don’t know any better eat at Cooper’s, and the residents and locals eat at Inman’s where the good bar-b-q is.» The staff is friendly, helpful and courtous and the home-made bread is the best in the Hill Country. The brisket is tender with an outstanding smoke flavor and the ribs are the best around. There is a bottomless bean pot of savory beans where you help yourself to all you want and the sides are fresh and tasty. The specialty at Inman’s are the turkey sausages which are amazing and worth driving any distance to taste. The sauce is next to the beans and kept warm and you help yourself. It is a tomato based sauce which I find very flavorful, The meat at Inman’s doesn’t need sauce at all like some places in Llano, it is only there if you want it, not because you need it, and if you choose to use it it actually compliments the meat, and doesn’t smother the flavor. If you are in the Llano and you want really good bar-b-q in a friendly atmosphere where you feel like you are home and are treated like family, not like another number in a commercial meat processing line where it’s all about quantity and not quality, don’t go to Cooper’s, go across the street to Inman’s where you can RELAXE in a roomy atmosphere and enjoy really good food.

Have stopped in here twice over the past 5 years. Will not make that mistake again. First time I had a chopped beef sandwich. The beef was cubed brisket that I believe was microwaved and smothered with sauce. No flavor, rubbery, and disgusting. Recently I stopped in late one afternoon. Got ribs and brisket. Couldn’t chew either selection. The staff acted like they wish I hadn’t bothered them by entering the front door. There was a lot of activity in the back kitchen area even though there were only two cusomers, so I assumed they were working on a catering order and that this accounted for their total lack of enthusiasm for taking my order. I don’t know if these employees are family or if they were just some extremely jaded locals, but I would never serve a paying customer the low quality meat they put on my plate.

I am a fan of Inman’s Turkey Sausage! It is the best. Great flavor, not greasy, but not dry… simply the best Turkey Sausage in the world! I have been receiving it is a gift from a relative near Llano since I was a teenager. I always look forward to that time of year because I know it is on the way! Go to Inman’s and check it out for yourself.

Everyone has those singular happy moments from their childhood. One of mine was spending the summers in the Texas Hill country at Lake LBJ. It was cooking out, camping out or even staying in a cabin. Boating, fishing or just floating around in the lake. But the one thing that I remembered and salivated about was Inman’s Turkey Sausage. It wasn’t your everyday sausage. This stuff was distinctively delicious. Perfection in a natural casing. I can honestly say that I have craved this stuff for 30 years since. Yes… it was THAT good. So on a recent trip to the Hill Country with the kiddos, I wanted to give them a taste of what I have craved. Oh, who am I kidding. I wanted about 5 pounds of the stuff and the kids would lose fingers if they even tried to get some. We had spent a couple of days at the lake and were on the way to another campsite at Lake Buchanan when I decided to look Inman’s up. Ooh! It’s in Llano, and we’re driving right though there. So after looking around for it for about 15 minutes, we finally spotted the giant turkey sign and happily pulled in dripping with anticipation. Sad to say that anticipation was soon shattered. This was NOT what I remembered. The turkey sausage was the opposite of the memories of my youth. It started out bland and then left an almost rancid aftertaste. The brisket was wooden, dry and tasteless. The turkey was just as dry, but at least had some flavor… but not as much as you would expect from hours in oak smoke. Sides were… well…beans. All you could eat from the kettle by the order pickup window. Said beans were the saddest beans ever. They were all texture and no taste. Even salt seemed to lose the battle to bring anything other than the pasty tasteless brown nubs that they were. The final nail in the coffin was the fact that they were out of iced tea the entire time we were there. Didn’t make a difference that we told them that they were out three times. We always got the answer of «We’ll get to it in a bit.» On a positive note, it turns out that wasn’t the right Inmans. The one that we should have gone to was Inman’s Roadhouse in Marble Falls which was closer and the source of my childhood sausage dreams… and no, they aren’t owned by the same people. The family branched a while back. Probably because of an argument about making crappy BBQ. Bottom line. If you are driving through Llano and are looking for good BBQ, brave the lines down the street at Coopers before even breathing Inman’s air.
