Subway

For some reason every subway within a 10 mile from this location are atrocious. The only reason they get 3 stars is because the food is «usually» somewhat fresh. It amazes me however, their slogan is eat fresh but, due to schedule i typically eat lunch fairly early and always get some old, crusty bread that is obviously from yesterday. This has happened literally every time for the past few months & I usually just suck it up and eat it, instead of complaining or asking for a fresh loaf. This time I finally just asked for a fresher loaf when my Italian loaf was burnt and darker looking then a wheat loaf! Of course I got a ridiculous attitude as I had insulted the minimum wage worker simply for asking for a better tasting sandwich that I’m spending $ 7 on, you know the amount of cost for your to work an entire hour. I’m sure you’d appreciate your hard earned money going towards a decent tasting meal as well.
Moral of the story: can be hit or miss on freshness but out of the other stores nearby they have the «freshest» if that’s what you would like to call it. Customer service sucks but it’s fast food.

Went here to pick up a quick bite. Store was clean and well kept as per usual, veggies looked fresh and had a good color to them. Was greeted by a fairly short man with short brown hair and facial hair. It was a short and seemingly forced greeting, very different from the other girls I usually see working there. He was very short with us when we tried to order our food, and kept mocking my friend who’s very shy. She said «um» a few Times during ordering process and he took it upon himself to mock her about it. Then after every single thing she ordered he would say in a mocking tone «are you sure» and would laugh under his breath. Then when my boyfriend came in to check on us because he was in the store next-​door the man working on the toner said and in a fairly aggressive tone «you’re just going to come in here not order anything?» To which my boyfriend responded. «They are» and pointed to me and my friend. To which the employee responded «fair enough.» My boyfriend felt very uncomfortable with him and left to go to the car…
While we were ordering it was apparent he was staring at my friends breasts which only added to how uncomfortable we previously felt. While we were by the drink area filling up my friend notes he was looking us up and down and also staring at our backsides.
I really don’t like writing «bad» reviews, but this was a special case.
Will be returning but definitely not any time soon.

Of the three Subways I frequent this is the best. The staff is friendly and polite and they seem more organized here than either of the the locations in Ferndale. On last visit the guy making my veggie sub was oddly engaging and made a point of asking how my day was going and if I had any fun plans for the weekend… I just found that to be a nice touch when you consider the faster food employee in general.
