I’ve visited this location twice with the intention of buying my engagement ring there. Unfortunately, each experience was very different. My first visit was with my soon to be fiancé, the second was with a friend from out of town that couldn’t wait to the ring I was looking at.
My first experience, we were treated very differently. My boyfriend is not white. As we asked to see a few different rings our sales rep loudly announced some «code word» for other sales reps to guard the exit as if we were going to steal. I thought to myself, that must be protocol for rings over a certain amount of $$$. However when I returned to look at the same ring, and indeed an additional ring simultaneously, but with my friend who happens to be white, here was no security… no code… no one thought we might run.
Really disappointed as this mere $ 8,000.00 ring was my favorite. But I can’t support a business that treats their customers blatantly with inequality.
