Merri-Craft Florist

I called to have an arrangement made for a high school graduation. The bouquet was ready on time, it was beautiful with fresh flowers, and the staff was very nice. I would definitely go back.

I used Merri-​Craft florist for my wedding last weekend, and was so pleased with my flowers. I knew the colors I wanted and the look I was going for, but as far as types of flowers I was lost. Kathy helped me work within my budget to have the flowers I was looking for. I wanted something more modern with a mix of different flowers, rather than the old 80’s looking flowers, and I definitely got modern and beautiful flowers. Everything was labeled and ready to go for our wedding coordinator to distribute for us at the church, and the arrangements lasted all day looking beautiful even in the high heat and humidity. I highly recommend Merri-​craft for any floral needs. They are afforable, professional, and do a fantastic job!

I am a big flower fanatic. And when my husband gets me flowers, he knows I am disappointed if they don’t last long. This past week, he brought me home a beautiful tropical bouquet from MerriCraft. I sit here, 9 days later and it is still as beautiful as the day it came home. They took time to add buds so that it would open new flowers and continue to be beautful. This bouquet was amazing and still is. Thanks for making me such a happy lady and my husband a star!

Toooootally stuck in the 80s! Went there the other weekend to price out flowers for my wedding. Everything that I requested, she had a catty comment about. No, I don’t like greens, and no, I don’t want calla lilies «sticking out of some mums.» For a quote of $ 1400 I sure wasn’t getting what I wanted! Not to mention we would have had to clean up the stuff after and drop it off at the store after the wedding!
I got a much better quote from a much more upscale florist who does delivery, set-​up, tear-​down, and stays until the very beginning of the ceremony to make sure all the bouquets and bouts are in place. Wouldn’t give Merri-​Craft a second thought.

I used Merri-​Craft for my wedding and could not have been more pleased. I walked in with a few pictures but generally no idea what I wanted for my own flowers, my girls’ flowers or centerpieces, and the lady that worked with me was wonderful. She sat down with me and took the time to go through some of their portfolios, noting what I liked and didn’t like. My wedding was in February, and I wanted to use reds and whites in the flowers without it looking like Christmas. She recommended the most beautiful flowers and worked with me on my centerpieces based on the pictures I brought. She was very careful to inform me if something I wanted was in-​season or not because she didn’t want me to spend a fortune if I didn’t have to.
Over the course of my engagement, I went in there a few times to see sample arrangements, drop off supplies for my centerpieces (which I was advised to purchase on my own so I could get them cheaper) and bring a treasured Waterford rosary that had been my Grandma’s before she passed away to be included in my bouquet. Each time I was in there, the women working there were extremely friendly and took the time to chat with me and make me feel like a valued customer. I was extremely nervous about leaving the rosary in the care of strangers, but they took wonderful care of it.
My flowers turned out beautifully and I got many compliments on them from my guests. I could not have been more satisfied with the end product, as well as the cost. The woman I worked with was very conscientious of cost and was more than willing to work within my budget. You can really tell that this is a smaller family-​owned business who cares about their customers and knows that customer satisfaction is what keeps their business going. I have already recommended them to all of my girlfriends for their weddings and will continue to do so!

So, as I’m flying in my Lebanese-​driver powered cab to Westland, MI… I spy Merri-​Craft Florist. PERFECT. We stop. He even pauses the meter (love that guy)…stars and flowers aligning.
I pop in and examine the fresh flower section… a little sad, but some good items. A bit overpriced… but I found a nice little arrangement for around $ 15, and added a few pink gerber daisies for good measure. The woman helping me is sweet and accommodating.
About $ 20…and Grandma is thrilled, and all is right in the world. An AOK florist… indeed!
