I have been here before a few time for events and had similar experiences. It is a beautiful banquet hall that allows for two events to go on at the same time. Either you go to the room to the right or left when you come into the lobby area. The restrooms are located in the lobby and I will say the women’s bathrooms are actually decent and I never had a line even when two events were going on at the same time. SHOCKED! About 4 years ago I was here and the food was great. However, at the most recent event the food was just blah and bland. The best part at the wedding was the antipasta and that is quite sad in my book.

I attended an evening event at the Italian American Banquet and Conference Center. It is a great space with very professional service and absolutely amazing food. The building is beautiful and doesn’t feel outdated — we were in the Michelangelo room, which has huge arched windows lining a wall that provided a beautiful view of the sunset. The restrooms were very clean and well stocked with many extras(lotion, feminine products, etc) that are nice to have available for a long event. The staff were all very professional, including the bar staff and servers. A portion of my meal was served separately due to dietary restrictions and they were very good about informing me about which of the family-style dishes were safe. The meal itself was excellent — pasta, salad, sausages, potatoes, and beans — all were amazing(and only the pasta had to be altered for my gluten-free diet)! The only unimpressive part of the experience were the ‘appetizer’ plates — i.e., veggie plates with carrots, peppers, celery, and tomatoes, and a mayonnaise based dip. It’s actually great they were so unappetizing, because that left more room for the great meal! In addition, the IABC is good at working with people to make it worth your while to plan an event even if you have to pay for more people than are attending. Many packages have a minimum number of guests, but if you haven’t invited that many people you can ask for something in return — in the case of the wedding I was just at, a free upgrade to top shelf liquor, because they only had 170 guests but had to pay for 200.
