HoneyBaked Ham

I was in this Merriman Road, Livonia store on Christmas Eve, where an employee was screaming at customers to close the door, ranting that she didn’t understand what was «wrong with these people, it isn’t that hard to understand, etc.» Another HB employee said, that maybe the customers were cold, to which the screamer yelled back, «well they shouldn’t have come here on the last day, then.» This incident occurred only a few months after I reported one of their employees for playing with her hair, money, then making a sandwich without washing her hands. Clearly this store has no effective management, and area manager, Karl Merkle, never bothered to reply to my complaint this time. Since there is no appropriate employee control/​management at this location, I wonder about the safety of the food purchased there, sold with a dose of lack of hygiene and verbal abuse.

Tried a honeybaked bone-​in ham (7 lb. for $ 60) for the first time, since I got a $ 10 off coupon from the American Red Cross for donating blood.
No special occasion — just needed protein for the week. Oh BOY I cannot believe I had not tried honeybaked before. The whole family looooves honeybaked ham now, and we will definitely be back!
I also picked up some wheat bread to make ham sandwiches with. Great choice. I noticed they also have various sides, like veggies, mashed potatoes, etc. to go with the protein.
It’s a bit of a splurge, but worth it! We’ll be back to try the turkey breast next time.
