Not great. Not bad. Food items were super hot(temp) — always a good thing. Restaurant AC must not have been working as it was quite warm inside the restaurant. Sushi was yucky and didn’t move much. Crab ragoons topped the tasty list. Ice cream from the machine came in right above the sushi on the low score side. Unlikely return especially with Tokyo Buffet relatively nearby as well as some great menu item Chinese restaurants within a mile.

In the mood for Mongolian bbq or some of area’s best sushi? Then stop into fortune buffet. In addition to traditional Asian buffet offerings, Fortune has Mongolian bbq stir fry and noodle soup bowls made fresh right before your eyes with ingredients you pick. Also, there is a sushi bar that is always manned with a chef continuously making sushi fresh throughout the day who is ready to prepare rolls on request if you don’t see what you want on the bar. There are choices for every palate from traditional Asian dishes to seafood, vegetarian specialties, carved beef and dessert. They also serve alcoholic beverages.

I will never eat there again. Make sure you check your account if you’re using a credit card. They will add more money on it without your approval. I will be calling the better business Bureau. I will let everyone know about this awful place.

I’ve frequented this place for years, discovered it after a family trip to Costco. The quality has slipped a bit, and the prices have rises a bit as well. Overall it’s a value for the money, I can have sushi, won ton soup, and an assortment of vegetables for a low price with hot tea, and fruit. I’m a finicky eater, so being able to satisfy me is a bit of a stretch. Fortune buffet offers enough of a variety of things that I like, prepared the way that I like them. It’s definitely NOT gourmet but passable. The service has always been good, I’ve never had an issue with anyone. I recommend someone looking for Chinese buffet cuisine give it a shot.

Sushi still good but buffet not as good as it used to be. A lot of fried items. Most disappointing was the manager not accepting the Save On online coupon. Insisting it be printed out. He wouldn’t even make eye contact. Just a way to get you in and not honor their offers.

This is the best Chinese food for miles in the area. When I first came here, it was very crowded, but despite the chaos they were able to find me a quick seat. When I sat down the waitress immediately came over and asked me my drink preference. She was very polite and nice. The atmosphere was amazing and the bathrooms were pretty clean. First Plate: Honey Chicken, Chicken and Broccoli, Rice Noodles, Crab Rangoon, and Egg Drop Soup. The chicken was cooked well, and the broccoli and chicken sauce made it taste very good. The crab Rangoon tasted normal and the noodles were not over cooked like most places. The next plate I got a dish from their Mongolian BBQ bar. It is very nice to have a bar where I can see my dish being cooked. They made my Mongolian dish in about 5 or 10 minutes, my sauce of choice was hot garlic. Third Plate: Green Beans, Pepper Steak, Calimari Squid, and pieces of California and Spicy Tuna rolls(sushi) The green beans tasted very nice, the pepper steak was a little hard but good, the squid tasted a little dry, but the sushi was very good. The chef was very polite. For dessert I just tried some of their cakes, which tasted just like all the the other buffets. Overall this buffet definitely deserves a 5 stars from me. The atmosphere, service and food all are magnificent. I will be coming back.

This one star is only for the nice waitress who kept a smile and a positive attitude throughout our restaurant experience. If she wasnt there, I’d definitely give zero stars if i had the choice. My dad and I went here for my birthday after we found a $ 5 off coupon in a magazine. We were immediately sat and a nice lady gave us our drinks, she knew very little English but she was very sweet and we tried hard to understand eachother. The food was. Well. Let me explain. If you were looking for an experience similar to a Tokyo and Fuji buffet dont even think about going here. They serve the typical Chinese take out food and the basic chinese buffet food(crab legs, some sushi, imitation crab meat salads etc) my dad’s sushi rice was stale like it had been sitting out all day, crawfish seasoning was ok, with the occasional overload of SAAALT. The crab legs had no butter. I was fine with that but the legs were so skinny there was little meat to even grab. When it was time to pay my dad showed the waiter the e coupon and she went to show it to the manager. She came back and said the manager wont redeem it unless its printed out. All you need is the customer code why do I need to print it out. We asked why and she said she wasnt too sure, she was scared to ask him.(if your employees are scared to ask you a question, there’s some issues here) My dad went to ask about the coupon and he still wouldnt acknowledge it because we didnt print it. It wasnt worth a battle so we paid full price.($ 32 for 2) With the service from the owner, the food and overall atmosphere of the place I wont be coming back. Tokyo buffet it is.

Went here a few days ago with the girlfriend. It is a really big place and is decorated very nicely. I was a tad disappointed with the mix of food available… I never like when a restaurant tries to mix a ton of different types of food together. There were tables of traditional American foods and a few Mexican foods as well. We stuck to just the Chinese food since we were in a Chinese buffet and the food was pretty good. I wasn’t blown away by anything until I tried some of their wonton soup, it was seriously some of the best wonton soup I’ve ever had. Over all, the waitstaff was very friendly, the food was good, and they had a great selection of Chinese food(including a sushi station).

This place is disgusting. It’s filthy and the staff is always sulking; looks like they are trafficked slaves. The owner is rude. I will never go back to this horrible place.

The selection and quality is good. This was my first time checking the place out after knowing about it for years. Kicking myself for not coming sooner. I’m now about to move from the area. I’m amazed at how much stuff is available. I’m dining during the lunch buffet.

Absolutely worst experience ever! The food quality was mediocre(the sushi in the buffet was not fresh!) and the service was subpar. We had a large family of about 15. We got the impression that they really wanted us all to order the buffet because it was easier for them. Half of the group ordered off the menu and the rest the buffet, big mistake! It took them at least 45 minutes to give us our check after we requested it. Only when some of our party had to leave did they attempt to move quicker, but not by much. We requested take out containers for the food we ordered. Only then did we get their full attention. They watched us like hawks because they just knew we were going to take the nasty buffet food, which we didnt! They even tried to insist that they box our food next to the unsanitary cash register. All we asked was that they come to the table, box our food(or let us box it while they watched us) and give us our check so we could go. That appears to be more than what this establishment can handle. We will not be returning here!

The best ALLYOUCANEAT sushi I have ever had. For $ 12 at lunch including tip. You can’t beat it. Yes… it’s not the best sushi you will ever eat but it’s damn good.

Fortune Buffet has been on a weekly rotation for me and my buddy Erik for the last 10 years. It’s not particularly great food, but scratches a certain sort of itch for cheap Chinese fare and was a convenient place for us to meet up. We enjoy it for what it is, no mysteries here. Some quick math, so you have context for the rest of my review. Two people eating here once a week are spending about $ 20 per visit(we tip 20% — this used to mean 20 bucks even, lately it’s more like 23), or $ 1000 a year, or $ 10,000 over ten years. We may have missed a visit here and there, but we also bring friends along sometimes, so I think that number is fairly close to reality. About a year back, we had a bizarre situation with the owner, who had somehow got it into his head that he was going to force us to sit at a table(we always, 100% of the time, sit in a booth). One day, with half a restaurant full of booths open and available, he looks me right in the eye and says we have to sit at a table. It was some weird test of wills or something, I have no idea, but I’m not playing. We turned around and walked out. The following week, we tried it again and presto change-o, the owner never again asked«table or booth» and sat us at a booth, but has given us the stink-eye every time we walk into the place. Erik commented, at the time, that he has it in for us. Well today(9⁄29), he got his chance to make an issue. As we’re walking in for our weekly visit, he waves me over to the counter and produces a waiter’s check from June 18th. He tells me that we were here with«some lady» «for a long time» and we left without paying. I’m flabbergasted… why would you wait three and a half months to bring this up? And we have no recollection of skipping out on a bill, as far as we know we’ve paid every time, so I say so. He disagrees, because his waitress says it was us, and he insists we have to pay this bill for $ 28.00. Apparently she just remembered all this, this week, and not one of the many times we’ve been in there since June? I bring up that we’re good customers who eat there just about every week, and he waits three and a half months to nail us for $ 28, based on someone’s memory suddenly waking up after all this time? Seriously? He says yes, we have to pay this bill, with this gleaming look of triumph in his eyes, like he’s finally nailed us like he’s been wanting to. So I paid it and told him we’d never be bringing our patronage to his restaurant again. As a small business owner myself, I completely get having to worry about the pennies and track down deadbeats so you can keep the doors open. But how short sighted is it to spit in the face of 10k spent, with thousands more on deck for the coming years, with customers who come and go like clockwork? People who have never made a peep about anything, besides wanting to sit in a booth? It’s like walking past a $ 20 bill on the sidewalk every week and not wanting to bother picking it up. He didn’t care, as it is far more important to this guy to win the test of willpower and be right. Ok, sir, you got your $ 28.00, but that’s the last penny you ever get from us. I hope it’s worth it. We’re not going back and we’re telling everybody we know not to eat here, either. Terrible. Customer. Service. Have a great day.

Seems to have lost some quality over the past few years. Mediocre quality, generally good selection. Fresh Sushi gets them just above average. I would like to say I’ll update again after another visit, but I’m not sure I’ll go back any time soon. I guess that’s the danger of having an off day in the restaurant business.

I had dinner there last night with my wife and as usual I left way too full. All of the tables were well stocked and looked fresh. We always enjoy going there and I do so like their sushi bar. I can eat all the sushi I want and then go to the tables and browse through them. Best deal in town.

I love Chinese food and I used to like Fortune Buffet, until I dined in with my family there recently. The food was good, but while walking towards the buffet I saw a roach on the wall, a ROACH!!! Needless to say, my appetite was lost and it was time for me to go!

I went for lunch and I was very pleased with The selection. Something new for me was the fried Plaintain’s: very tasty! The bacon wrapped chicken was also a nice touch. Although anything wrapped in bacon gets my nod of approval. LOL I’m always baffled at the folks who can only scare up one star for such a restaurant. I feel sorry for such people and I suspect they have difficulty finding much joy in life. If you’re in the hood give this place a try I believe you will not be disappointed if you have an open mind.

5 for polite, friendly service. I went against every gut instinct in going here as the Unilocal reviews were low but my dear sweet friend insisted that it had significantly improved. I don’t like buffets — unless Indian or sushi — and only because I can try a little of this or that and not have to buy 10 different entrees– but gorging isn’t my thing. If you are into highly salted– breaded, sweetened food and want to gorge to your hearts content this may be your place. I was hoping to try a lil of this or that only to find there was hardly anything I wanted to try. The hot sour soup was the only thing that received a on the scale star– 3 The variety of different meats that I tried they were poor quality, chewy, fatty, gristle… I couldn’t finish anything and I only took a a piece of each thing I could recognize. There were very very few veggie options. There was what looked like a salad bar? There were several dishes that didn’t look Asian or American– cheesy imitation grab casserole, some Asian cake with fake crab cheese… This pretty much cinched it that I will never ever ever do a Chinese buffet again. Lisa, I love ya but I think you plunked me on this! Lol
