The outside of the store hides a true hidden gem inside. While the strip mall is not much to look at, Chris Furniture is truly unique in the furniture world: Quality furniture, helpful sales associates, and no hard sell. We had been searching for a quality leather recliner for a while, and after being less than impressed by the usual suspects(big name box stores), we came here only after seeing positive reviews on Unilocal. We left with a great deal(approximately ½ to 1⁄3 of the prices we saw for the same chair online) on a high quality leather recliner from an extremely highly rated manufacturer in North Carolina. I think Chris herself is the person who helped us, and she was great –knowledgable but not pushy. The store was fairly busy for the time and day that we were there, and I can see why. We will definitely make this one of our first stops for furniture in the future!

I must disagree with the previous reviews to some extent. Upon entering, it looks dreary and a bit«old foagie», but was willing to look through and give it a chance. I heard that all the furniture was made on the USA, but it was not evident. It was hard to tell if the price tags were the«real» prices, or if there was an additional discount; I couldn’t find the tag on an item I looked at. I overheard Chris, must be the owner, tell another couple that was looking at lamps, that«the sale ones have a special tag, but you have to ask me how much those are.» What? Way too exhausting for me. Fabric samples in the store look about 25 years old. Perhaps this is a good place for a custom order-just can’t imagine really buying anything there.

This place doesn’t look like much, no sales people in suits, but trust me, you won’t find a better price on name brand furniture. The showroom doesn’t have much and is small, but they like Gorman’s and many other stores that actually sel good quality built to last furniture, have to order it anyway. Find a name brand piece you like at a fancy showroom like gormans, then go to Chris for the same piece and get a quote for 25% less. Go to Art Van for an 8 way hand tied sofa for $ 2,000 made by who knows who, and Chris will sell you a king hickory(google king hickory) and Chris will sell you one for 25% less. She obvously has super low overhead which passes the savings on to you. She and all the staff are super friendly and proffesional.
