Delicious! We had the brisket and chicken sandwiches. Sides were baked macaroni, green beans and bbq beans. Best bbq beans ever! Potato salad great too!

This is usually one of my go to places for lunch, but I’ve been disappointed the last couple times I’ve went. Usually get the turkey plate, but on my last visit, the turkey appeared old and was almost like jerky. So this visit I got the brisket, but sadly I was disappointed again. About half of it was fat and not edible. The sides were okay. Not sure I will be back.

Mmm! The food is always good, and the staff is friendly. You won’t go home hungry. Good selection.

The exterior looks a bit old, but once inside it’s not so bad. It’s kind of rustic! Great ribs! Maybe the best I’ve had since we moved from the Kansas City area! Our granddaughter who’s only three loves them also. They were so good, we ate there two days in a roll. The employees are also very attentive & polite! We’ll be eating there again very soon.

Finger lickin’ good! I was road tripping cross-country from California to Florida to get to my school and this was the nearby place that we decided to eat at. I’m SO glad we did. First of all, it’s a small locally owned shop, the service was quick and friendly, and most importantly the food was delicious! My family got the meal for 4, that had ½ brisket, ½ ribs, and sides. The brisket was tender and juicy and the ribs just fell off the bone. The best part of it all is the sauce! They have a regular BBQ sauce and a Sweet BBQ sauce. Both are extremely tasty without being overly tangy. Great BBQ spot! VERY highly recommended!

I finally got around to trying it today and was very impressed. Better BBQ than anyplace in my home town of Baton Rouge. I had the chicken and the beef brisket. The chicken was not dry and had a smoky taste. The brisket was moist and had a smoky taste as well. The baked beans and potato salad were above average. They had 2 kinds of BBQ sauce: hickory and sweet. I liked both but mostly used the hickory. The toast was good as well, kind of soft with a buttery taste(too much butter if you are a health nut!). Also, a pleasant surprise was the excellent tea. The prices aren’t too bad. You can get a 1 meat plate for $ 8.95 and a medium drink for $ 1.59, for example. I literally cannot think of anything I didn’t like about the place. Even the people working there were friendly and helpful. I just wish they weren’t so far from Baton Rouge.

Damn good BBQ ! Had ribs and chicken, everything was delicious except for the mac n cheese. I’ll be back even if this place is an hour from my house. Yeah it’s that good.

This place was amazing. The guy gave us a bunch of meat to try before we even ordered. They were so nice, and the food was great. We got ribs and turkey, Mac and cheese, baked beans– in the family meal. It was way more than enough for the four of us, and it was all really, really good. We’ll definitely stop again when we are in the area

Good food at a good price. Good people too. I am glad this place is here because there is not a lot around. Their bbq is decent. Not necessarily my thing but still good enough that I will stop here. But it is a matter of taste. If you like your BBQ overly smoky, this is your place. They put their emphasis on smokiness at the expense, I am afraid, of tenderness and juicyness. Note I did not say the meat is dry or hard. Just not as juicy or tender as it could be. No subtlety of flavors here. Same with the sauces. The sweet one is sweet and overpowering. The other one is not quite pungent but pretty much in your face. I usually use little to no sauce here… but wow is the meat smoked! Too much of a good thing.

The pulled pork was great! I have had better, but not at this price. Finished off lunch with bread pudding… It was amazing. If you are a fan of bread pudding, you must try it. A serving is about $ 4 but it is huge, and two can share. Don’t expect much in the atmosphere or décor department, but you probably expected that when you drove up to the place. The delicious smell of BBQ outside will let you know you made the right decision to stop here. Livingston doesn’t have many choices, but this place should be at the top of the short list.

One word… NOM! This place is super yummy! I had the brisket plate and my fiancé had the rib plate. We were both pleasantly surprised at the taste! They claim to smoke the meat for hours and BOY can you tell! Both of our plates had a wonderful smoky flavor… drool. They have their own bbq sauces that are pretty good as well, hickory and sweet. Well, I mixed the two together and found it to be perfect for my tastes. My honey decided to only go with the hickory… meh, to each their own :) They had your standard sides to come with the plates that you could choose from, Baked beans, cole slaw, corn, dirty rice, green salad, mac n cheese, fried okra, etc. The service was very friendly, and even though they looked at me funny when I asked for a different bread(because I don’t like Texas Toast– ick.) they chalked it up to me being a «yankee» and gave me a slice of toasted wheat instead haha. Hm, I think I will go there for lunch today!

This is a place I went to for lunch quite a few times during a work trip to the bustling and sophisticated metro area of Livingston. I kid. Livingston is a fairly small town/city. I never found a downtown/main street area… everything’s spread out. Wayne’s is a place not to be missed though. There are many things to choose from, but who’re we kidding. Meat is why one goes here. they have an assortment of meat choices which they barbecue really well. I’ve gone for mainly Po Boys, but they have other meat entrees. I really like the staff here. Every time I am at the counter they’ve given me a little crap, heckled me, or said something hella funny. They’re really nice people.
