Somers Joann MD

I have been going to Dr. Somers for over five years now for regular exams, and she was also the Obstetrician for the birth of my second child. She is very smart and I feel that I am receiving top notch care with her. She takes the time to explain things if you have questions and has an amazing staff helping her out. My only issue with her office is that it is really difficult to get an appointment. Sometimes she is booked out for three to five months. Additionally, once you are there, it is not uncommon to have to wait two hours to be called in. I don’t know if she gets behind because patients are asking a lot of questions or if she is periodically called into the hospital, but the wait time is unbearable sometimes. The hours are decent — she has one night when she stays late. There used to be Saturday hours, but I think she is doing away with those. If the wait time and availability of appointments were better, then this review would be more stars.
