Great service, from reception to my haircut. Friendly and talkative staff and beautiful décor and atmosphere. They really spared no expense with the variety and quality of the amenities they offer. To me, it is worth it with the student pricing.

This place is awesome. I had a gift card from my gym which I basically live at and happens to be across the street. I partook in no shave November which happened to go well, but it got a little dirty looking. I wanted to clean it up, but I know when I do it, it never looks good. I was recommended to go to Michael by the receptionist and she was spot on with her recommendation. Michael was legit. He knew his stuff and made my beard look perfect. I will definitely be back, not only for a shave, but for all the other amenities.

This place is the best! Great quality haircut for a price that I am more than willing to pay (they offer a nice student discount for haircuts). The staff is extremely kind and welcoming and more than willing to make you feel as comfortable as possible from the get-​go. My stylist Christy is fantastic. She really takes her time and makes sure I am happy with my cut. Definitely would recommend the salon to anyone looking for a wonderful experience!

I’ve always had a profound connection to the person that cuts my hair — an attachment and loyalty that is generally only severed if I move away or if they leave the salon/​barbershop/​etc. It’s not that I have a raging head of hair, perhaps it’s that I just want to make sure the hair I have left is well maintained and cared for, and so I’ve come to appreciate places like Dieci Uomo who offer a more enriching, comfortable but still straightforward experience. Upon moving to NJ from the city, I was of course apprehensive about my options, afraid of walking in for a trim and coming out with a blowout and a fake tan. I tried a couple places in Montclair, nice but lacking in client service and full of chatty surburbanites, but fortunately I eventually stumbled upon Dieci Uomo. Upon walking in, I noticed how impeccably clean and serene the environment is. I was immediately offered a beverage and taken back to get rinsed (in the last year I’ve been a customer I still have never waited-it’s as if they can sense exactly when you’re arriving). After a thorough and relaxing scalp massage, I was introduced to ‘stylist’ or ‘lady that does my hair’ as I refer to her: Ann Marie. Her meticulous attention to detail and style coupled with a wonderful sense of humor and professionalism is testament to Dieci’s success. For Ann Marie, it’s about providing an experience that is consistent, reliable and enjoyable on every visit. Sure, it may just be a hair cut and it may cost more than what you pay at a local barber, but why not indulge yourself, enjoy a nice cut, a fresh, hot shave, a Scotch and a shampoo — our wives have no problem pampering themselves, shouldn’t we too?! And no I have not been paid for what seems like a glowing perhaps ‘gloating’ review; I just think good service is paramount in business and Dieci Uomo deserves its due recognition.

The price is high for what it is. However… I will say the attention to detail and the whaling of the cut match the price. I am particularly difficult and harshly critical when it comes to the trimming of my precious face coat (beard). I can’t complain with the end result. The reason why I only gave it four stars is because for me this place would serve as an infrequent indulgence than a standing appointment.

I’m a long-​time customer of the original Dieci so I expected something special and was not disappointed. The high-​end facility is geared toward all aspects of male grooming and pampering. Everything is pristine and brand new. I’ve had a massage, haircut, manicure, pedicure (with hot stone foot and calf massage included!) and some minor «manscaping». Where Uomo really stands out though is its friendly and attentive customer service. I was served an espresso during my haircut, and was served Pellegrino (and even sunscreen!) while lounging on the gorgeous rooftop sky deck. Can’t wait to return!

I just got a haircut here for the first time today. The facility is absolutely gorgeous and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The pre-​cut hair wash by Erin included a very relaxing scalp massage. I was offered coffee, water, wine, the works. Nino did a fantastic job cutting my hair. I have rather thick, wavy hair so it is difficult to find someone who can cut it well. I was even given a tour of the new space. This place has all the professionalism and luxury of its sister salon Dieci X on Mt. Pleasant Ave. without all the hectic noise and gossiping women. I will return again and maybe throw in a massage or a facial. This is a gentleman’s oasis.

My husband just returned home and couldn’t say enough great things about the salon. I purchased a gift certificate for him, and after one visit – massage, pedicure and haircut, he is hooked. Staff is awesome, and really accommodating. This is a new business, and I hope that they are around for a long time!

Beautiful facilities; clean, brand new, etc. Actual haircut was sub par. It was way overpriced @ $ 50.
the positives were the customer service, friendly/​attentive staff, great shampoo. negative was a very poor haircut. uneven in spots. stylist did a poor job blending in sides (i have a nice ‘line’ around the perimeter of my head now.) No offer to clean up eyebrows, neck, etc.
