What a gem! Tucked away in in the business area, I think this place is great to have, and it’s so close to us. The prices are great and the beers taste good! My husband loves that this place is close and not too crowded. We got a growler and get it filled whenever we can. This is our place to just chill and relax

The beer was overshadowed by the uncomfortable seating. I weigh 110lbs and the stools did not fit my bootie. The tables need to be raised or the stools cut down. I would have stayed longer and had more beers butt…

Located in an industrial park is where a brewery should be. This is not a «bar». It is a great place to stop in and taste some WM brews. I had 2 flights, liked most, loved the rest. Really good IPAS and porter. One star less than 5 as the décor is a bit campy but a solid 4.5. Would stop in again and will look for on taps and store shelves. One suggestion cut the stool legs to fit the tables. Easy fix

This is my favorite brewery/tasting room in Livermore. The service is great, the staff friendly, there are tables and chairs, it’s not crowded, the IPAs are great, and they serve pints, ½ pints, flights, and pretzels. You can take home bottles and growlers. Ask for the Homewrecker.

Stopped in with my wife and kids to check the place out. Great ipa’s I think 3 – 4DIPA’s?!? Took two growlers home. Very reasonable. They’ll gladly fill a competitor’s growler(as should all places, they’re selling beer not growlers, right?) Happy to have found them before they get big.

Really nice, small brewery on the east side of Livermore. We tried 4 of the beers on tap(Stout, Kolsch, Hef and Pale Ale). All were quite nice, balanced and flavorful. The bartender was also friendly, and laid back, but also able to answer our questions.

Great location, very nice tasting room and great service. Go in to the counter, select your beers for tasting and grab a seat at one of the tables. They bring your flights over to you in a very cool, customized board. The beers were really tasty. Very hop — centered for all of their beers but we’ll balanced. Reasonable pricing on growers. This was an enjoyable experience and will go back again to see what new brews they come up with.

Wow. The beer is great. If you love IPAs, imperials, doubles, quads, etc… This is your place. We came here 9 minutes til closing and Joel was so easy going. He clearly loves his job and didn’t rush use at about 20 minutes after closing we even overhead someone calling and asking if they’re open. He said come on in. What a great guy, brewery and overall experience. We will definitely come back.

Great customer service. They happily filled my non-labeled Growler. I had the Sneaky Devil IPA, Working Mans Double IPA and the Home Wrecker IPA. All very good! Small place; looking forward to my return trip when in the area.

I went to Working Man on valentine’s day and was extremely disappointed. 1. It is extremely hard to find even with GPS cuz there is absolutely no signage anywhere. 2. The seating is utterly awful. When you sit in one of their stools ur knees hit the table and the entire experience is awkward. 3. We bought 2 beers from their bottled selection. Both beers were UNDRINKABLE and probably will make us sick in a day or two because of how bad they were… not bad in a taste sense… bad as in these should not be drank by humans cuz they are not made properly. My ipa had a nasty sour taste and was basically 80% foam despite an excellent pour. DONOT go here unless u want to buy $ 6 bottled beers that u need to throw out the second you open them and realize u got ripped off.

This is a fun place to visit in Livermore if you want to get a taste of local craft beer. My boyfriend & I stopped here last Saturday afternoon to try out their sample flights, which were all pretty solid. It’s cool that you can buy some by the bomber, or have your growler or pony-keg filled too. Low-key & only open weekends, I’d recommend you stop in here on your Livermore brewery tour!

3 and a half if I could but rounded up to four. Finally made it out to WM. The service at the tasting room was very friendly and cordial. Not a super high energy vibe in the room but not bad either. The IPAs(I’m a hoppy IPA guy) were a little bitter at the finish and not as aromatic as I like but the darker beers got raves from my co-tasters.

Love going to this place. Often go after work on Friday’s and the vibe feels like everyone else is ready for the weekend as pints go down easily. Seems like there is always something new to taste, they have a big selection for being a micro brewery. The Wit is my go to, but the Double IPA is a must have if you go. The double IPA is fun to drink, thats the best way I can put it. The staff is good people, always friendly.

Since we moved to the bay area, I haven’t found a more welcoming place. The owners were amazing. The beer was delicious. I couldn’t ask for more. The taproom was minimal(no TVs), but that’s what’s great about it. Highly recommended.

Best brewery in Livermore! I went to the brewery for the first time and tasted almost everything. Most of the beers were very good. I really liked the Whistleblower Wit and the porter they were pouring. The guy pouring the beers was knowledgeable with what was on tap and good with recommendations for the people that weren’t too beer savvy. Pros: Good beer, friendly folks Cons: Only open weekends

This review is between a four and five star. But since they are the new kids in town and you can really see the effort they’ve put in, it’s an easy call to give them 5 stars. Working Man is a great place because it’s super relax and as Tracy H pointed out, it’s less crowded than Altamont. But what’s also cool is they serve pints. How many times have you been sampling and found one beer of which you want to try a pint? Well, you can do that here. I was here with a buddy about a month ago and showed up a little after they opened on a Saturday. There were a few people, but the gal behind the bar did a great job of keeping everyone going. The beers I tried were good, but the Double IPA I had on my last taste was awesome. If we had more time, I would have had a pint of it. All in all, this place is really worth checking out. The folks there are truly beer people and, in my opinion, very easy going. This made for a great visit and some great tastes. Will I be back? Of course. This is a great place!

Working Man Brewing Company wasn’t to my buds’ liking, ain’t disliking them for that. one gets 4 tastes for $ 4, 12 selections on the board, most seem to be low alcohol levels and light tasting(ambers, blondes, the sort) didn’t see a limit on tastes. just tasted the 4 highest alcohol content. only the strongest, C’est Noir, an imperial stout, satisfied me. the other brews, strong alcohol content, had flavors i didn’t fancy. drips: –pints available $ 5+, stouts 6 – 8 –growlers sales not totally available, some yes via smaller growler –bottled beers available(22 oz?)-$ 12 or so. –tasting counter room for 4 – 5 people, small tables nearby –weekends only. 3ish stars for the novelty, buzzed afterwards

Visited Working Man Brewing yesterday for a quick Friday afternoon fill on a couple of our growlers. This was my second visit and they once again met with my expectations for good craft beer at a reasonable price. They have an eclectic and large set of beers and I’m impressed with their creativity. While I didn’t like their Anzu Bru, just too weird a taste for me, I salute their willingness to try something new. I’m pretty sure the owners were there and behind the small bar. They were friendly and willing to chat and banter with the patrons. As I remember it, I think they’ve renovated and made the tasting area larger, so that’s an improvement. Being a Friday afternoon, there were quite a few people sprinkled around the bar and tables getting a good start on their weekends. Amongst the different tastes they have tapped, I did find a couple of beers that I really like; Sneaky Devil IPA and Working Man Red. They were talking about a pale lager that would be coming out, so I’ll be going back to try it. They also have pretzels, which is a good way to clear your taste buds for the next beer. Interesting thing about tasting with paddles is that I need a reminder about what was what. I’m wondering if a simple removable sticker or something can be used to help my beer soaked brain remember what I was drinking. The prices of their tasting seems to have gone up, but since the two of us bought 3 tastings and filled two growlers, one tasting was comp’d! The grand total out the door was $ 32 for the tastings and to fill our Sneaky Devil and Red growlers. I think these guys could move to a five star by concentrating on just a few beers, since the eleven they had on the wall only produced two or three winners for us. Bottom line… A couple of good beers to fill growlers in a low key environment.

When you think of Livermore, what do you think of? Wineries… outlets…Well perhaps we should all expand our minds, because Livermore is a great place for craft brewing! Went with Diana S and Rick B on a beer tasting adventure this past weekend and Working Man Brewing Company was first on our list. Nestled in an industrial park, you wouldn’t know the delightful tasting room existed from the outside. However, when we opened the door, bright yellow walls surrounding a small bar with smiling faces of «the working man brewers» and their directors(wives) greeted us and beckoned us in to try their beers. It was only $ 4 to taste 4 of their wares plus we got to go back into their warehouse and see how the magic happens.(See pictures). We were truly impressed: impressed with how they went out of their way to show us how the beer was brewed, stored etc., impressed with how nice these folks are just trying to live out their dream(the guys are home brewers that are making a «go» of it, launching this label while they all still have day jobs), and of course, impressed with their beer! Working Man Brewing Company is so new, that their website isn’t really up and running yet. So you might not think they are open… but they are. Go see them Fridays 4 – 7, Saturdays 12 – 6 and Sundays 12 – 4. And if you like Altamont Brewing Company, they are just a couple miles down the road, so what a great first stop!
