Valero

This Valero is only a stone’s throw from the 580 Freeway, just off the First Street exit in Livermore. It’s a little tricky to access as you need to take First Street South then take a U-​turn at Southfront Road and go right on it. It’s right in front of a Circle K convenience store.
Warning: you need a key to access the restroom, yet has two separate stalls plus a sink with an XLERATOR hand dryer (my favorite). The mirror really needs to be cleaned. The employee (Bing?) gave me the key with a smile.
There was an extensive selection of beverages in the refrigerated case, but I’ve always preferred to get my drinks from the soda fountain so I can put ice in them and keep them cold longer in the car. The soda fountain at the Circle K has a very good selection of diet soda options including: Diet Pepsi, Diet Dr. Pepper, Diet Mountain Dew, Sobe Lean, and Diet Coke. A 44 oz was only $.97 including tax. I’d say that’s the best deal I’ve ever seen at a gas station convenience store pretty much anywhere I’ve traveled.

This is good gas station. It’s a little hidden from first street but they do have cheap gas and a good food mart. Plus their air and water always work unlike the one next to them.

On Thanksgiving morning I stopped by this Valero for gas on the way back to my parents house, and the guy at the counter was in a super good mood. He greeted me with a big ol’ smile and wished me a happy holiday, so this review is really just a shout out to him for keeping chipper despite having to be alone at a gas station. You started my day off with positivity, and I appreciate it!
