Great environment with a cute back room, pleasant staff and patrons… very laided back. My date and I had a couple drinks. he had the lime mojito and I had a peach sangia«the featured drink». Both our drinks were watered down big time. :(The featured sangria tasted like strawberry peach carbonated water with oddly 2 strawberries, 2 bananas, 2 apples and 2 – 3 small cut pieces of pineapple… based on the product I probably wouldn’t go back. But cute place to JUST relax and have a glass of wine…

Perfect spot for a date or girls night out. Authentic Cuban food and amazing Sangria’s. Make sure you order several dishes to share, especially the authentic Paella made by the owner Gianni. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like you’re at home. I’ll definitely be going back soon!

My 1st night back under the new concept. Staff is always smiling, happy and welcoming. The place has such a warm feel to it. The variety of different sangria options is unlike anything else in downtown Livermore as is the food menu. Traditional South American cuisine is the new thing and they nailed it.

What a great new concept! This is something Livermore has been needing and so different then anything else downtown. Very chill atmosphere and welcoming back garden area. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and patient as I asked questions about the menu and choices. They have an assortment of sangrias. I had the traditional sangria as well as the cucumber sangria and they were both super refreshing. The food was delicious as well. Needless to say I’m looking forward to spending time at this new place and adding it to one of my must go places when in Livermore.

one of my bookmarked to try. :-) I was able to get here on the last night they were opened before closing to redecorate and relaunch. Bri(bartender)(and the other lady, forgot her name) was great. I had the whole interior to myself, for a little bit. So it allowed me to talked about what I was looking for, what I have tried and liked thus far. Several TV’, was able to watch hockey on one, while a couple to my right watched basketball. I tried Paella… couldn’t pronounce it to save my skin, but it was really good. My first time having the dish. Other people had come and gone… one set was sociable. I am looking forward to stopping by at a later date, maybe even go sit near the tantalizing fire. The sign at the front says, under 21 admitted before 9pm, with adult. After 9pm, 21& over only. Good to know.

The Pourhouse has so much going for it: fantastic location(one of THE best locations in Livermore), excellent beer and wine selection, and a cozy footprint that makes you instantly feel at home and frequently features live music. There’s just one problem: the food. The Pourhouse has expanded their food selection, which is great, but the problem is that they have no kitchen to speak of, or legitimate food prep area. It’s all essentially done behind the bar, and the chef hasn’t exactly been setup for success. I already mentioned that the alcohol selection is well above average, and I started with a Flying Dog Raging Bitch IPA. Very tasty, and right around 8.3% ABV… it’s a great beer. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms appetizer. The mushrooms looked amazing when they arrived, but amazing they were not. I couldn’t understand how an appetizer as simple and commonplace as stuffed mushrooms were so unevenly cooked. The majority of the mushrooms still retained their raw, crunchy texture, while the temperature of the inside varied from mushroom to mushroom. I then started paying attention to their cooking process(it was right in front of me since all of the cooking is done right behind the bar), and I noticed that everything was basically«cooked» in a pizza/toaster oven. That explains it. My second beer was a Speakeasy Big Daddy IPA… another great beer. You’re starting to understand the highlight of my night. I ordered the grape and prosciutto flat bread for my main. More of the same. The grapes weren’t fully cooked, so the flavor profile just didn’t work. The grapes were still virtually raw, and retained their sharply sweet flavor, which was just too much of a contrast for the somewhat cooked prosciutto and the completely melted cheese. All in all, a disappointing meal from a place that should be absolutely killing it. The restaurant was dead during prime time on a Friday night when most of the restaurants on 1st Street were overflowing. I’m not sure if this was a reflection of the food, but my experience and observations make me think that the 4 star overall rating is inaccurate, especially in regards to the food. The two ladies behind the bar were very nice, and along with the alcohol selection, were this place’s saving grace. The Winemaker’s Pourhouse is in the midst of an identity crisis and needs to decide how serious they want to be about food. If they want to focus on their drink offerings and serve more raw dishes consistent with their cheese and charcuterie plate, more power to them. However, if they want to get serious about gourmet food, they need to provide their staff with legitimate facilities that include a food prep area and cooking appliances beyond a pizza oven.

When I first walked in I ordered their only Reisling they have on the wine list, generally that’s my go to. Shortly after I was told that the Reisling they have is a dry Reisling and that’s not too common of an attribute for the person ordering this specific wine. The bartender(Bri) informed me of this unusual dry factor that their only Reisling had and offered me a glass of Ménage á Trois Moscato which was exactly what I was looking for and didn’t even know it! The second best thing about having a bartender nail the beverage is also providing an awesome atmosphere, they had their outdoor seating with fire pit ablaze and there was a reserved table full of woman for paint night so I decided to sit by the fire to enjoy the Christmas lights outside. Not only is it picturesque but to make it even better Bri brings me out the most comfy blanket so I’m not freezing! She was so accomdating and attentive I’ll definitely be back for the excellent customer service, wonderful atmosphere l, and extensive beer/wine list!

The food was 4 star-I had the bruschetta and bacon wrapped dates. I went here with friends and our visit was for wine tasting but it was nice they had food as well. Our main complaint was our server seemed very green. She wrote down and repeated our order after confirming with my friend twice and ended up mixing up all our orders anyway. The wine tasting flights were given to the wrong people with the wrong wines in different flights so in the end no one knew what they were tasting. I chose to taste from the«majestic reds», which I suppose were reds that did not fit into the other categories. My friend received my flight and we traded so I could taste 2⁄3 wines from my list. I don’t have a refined palate by any stretch of the imagination, but I did not like any of the wines I tried. My husband liked 2⁄4 beers he tried. The food was tasty but I would be concerned if you had food allergies as we ordered bruschetta without parmesan cheese and I suppose this made the order too complicated because after repeating this order twice, it was brought out with cheese and the server said they would just take it off(she came back a minute later to say they would remake the order). Although the restaurant/beer garden was dog friendly and we were able to bring our dogs to the back patio(which was warm from the fire pit), I would be cautious about bringing your dog here because we found a couple pieces of glass near our table. If you plan to do food and drinks, expect to pay about $ 20+/person.

One of my favorite spots in Livermore is the Winemakers Pourhouse and Beer Garden. The place is perfect to hang out with friends or family and enjoy the great beer, wine, and the small plates. Some of my favorites include the stuffed mushrooms, the bacon wrapped dates, and the Ahi Tartar. I also love the special events(canvas & glass painting, Karaōke) Can’t wait to come back soon for their Artisan Flat Breads. Yum!

I was working in Tracy and my friends and I were looking for something different to do on a Friday night. Being that I’m from So Cal/LA area there’s an abundance of places to go there where u can enjoy live music/jazz. Someone mentioned going to Livermore, so I pulled out my phone and did a search for Jazz and this place popped up, and we ended up here. This was a really great place. There was live music going on when we arrived around 9:00. They serve food here as well, and it was very fresh and tasty. The drinks were reasonably priced, so we were all very happy we took the drive over the Altamont and hung out here. I would definitely recommend, and I will be back.

Tried it out. It’s called wine something & Beer garden? The wines might be great I would not know but«beer garden»? Are you kidding me? Almost nothing on tap. Service so so. What really got my goat is that I got short changed for $ 30 by he owner who being a bar owner I would expect to know a $ 50 Bill from a $ 20. Will not be visiting this place again I think.

I really like the direction that the Pourhouse is going in! The new owners have expanded their food and drink offerings, there are a ton of specials, and the back patio looks great. Most recently I had lunch here last week and sat on the front patio. I really enjoyed people-watching on First Street and the beautiful weather. I ordered their new Pastrami sandwich with a side of Caesar salad and it was really delicious and filling. Last month I sat on the back patio with two friends and we ordered appetizers and wine and had a great time catching up. Unfortunately our Ahi was not of good quality but the manager took it off our bill, no problem. They have karaōke on Thursdays, live music during the weekend and TVs showing all the big games. Something for everyone!

I really like the atmosphere here. Casual, but feel free to be a little dressy. The crowd is fairly laid back, but not asleep. The flat bread is to die for! I personally like the Mediterranean flat bread the best. It’s crunchy, drizzled in sweet vinegar, and has cheese, tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, and capers. My favorite thing about this place is the live jazz bands on the weekends, especially Secret Tattoo. They really liven things up!

From the outside, the interior looked comfortable and inviting. It was a beautiful day and the patio in the back looked great to hang out in, but it was reserved for a party. Inside is a bit small and looks homey, but the more I looked around, the more I thought it the place gave more tired and outdated vibe, than vintage-yet-hip. Boyfriend and I decided to sit outside in the front. The area is beautiful, and very relaxing, so this spot was perfect to grab a drink. However, these drinks were the worst I’ve ever had. I had white sangria and Boyfriend got a simple vodka based drink for happy hour. They both tasted like sugar/fruit water. I’ve never been so disappointed in a cocktail. I overheard one of the bartenders saying that they don’t have a full liquor license. Not exactly sure what that was all about, but I don’t think they can serve drinks above a certain alcohol percentage. If they can’t serve hard liquor, then I don’t know why they are offering cocktails on their menu. All I can say is I’m never coming back here again. Ambiance: Outside 3⁄5; Inside 2⁄5 Drinks: 0⁄5 Service: 2.5÷5 Overall Experience: 1.5÷5(not a 1 because it was a nice day and I still had a nice time)

The service seems very friendly, but my review is based on the one drink I ordered from the bar: a cape cod. A cape cod is typically vodka, cranberry juice, and a slice of lime. The drink I was served, however, tastes like very watered down cranberry juice with a hint of lime.

This place is great! Stopped in while walking around downtown Livermore and discovered they have bottomless mimosas! Wonderful staff, cute set up, nice beer selection and house sangria! We hit the jackpot and will be back even though we live in pleasant hill!

Can I say, favorite hang out spot in Livermore?! This place is absolutely fantastic and I have had nothing but good experiences here. The staff are very friendly and are quick to refill your wine glass and serve you. Try any of the wine cocktails, they are absolutely delicious! The cheese plates are so good! My friends and I always order a plate or two whenever we come in. The staff are also very knowledgeable in the cheeses and are more than happy to make recommendations. I love the atmosphere and ambiance of this place. If you’re in the area, be sure to check this place out. You won’t be disappointed!

What a fantastic place! I have been eager to try this place out for literally years now. I’ve walked by it, driven by it, and even thought about it. Well, thanks to discovering a Local Gruv deal to this place, I finally had absolutely no excuse to not check them out. I arrived around noon. There was only but a few other people lunching/wining in. Apparently, I had just missed the pajama crew that hits downtown for all the local stores discounts and sales. I’ll be sure to make that next year :) I got a nice pub style table toward the back wall facing the wine bar. I was then greeted by a nice young guy. I really enjoyed the atmosphere which seems to emulate that Napa style ambiance. Brick walls, hard wood floors… very modern, artsy and classy. I started my noon off with The Pour House Special — goat cheese spread crusted with Chardonnay and cinnamon-infused dried cranberries $ 4. It comes with bread, however I opted out on it. For wine, I started with a glass of Nottingham Zinfandel. The cheese plate arrived delectable in presentation. And delectable tasting it was. Sliced strawberries, a mini little bowl of an array of warm spiced nuts. A little bowl of green olives, and of course the goat cheese adorned with the those special cranberries. Everything tasted exceptional. The nut mix was heavenly. Warm, toasted and seasoned to a savory perfection. The goat cheese and cranberries were also incredibly delicious. Which all might I say, paired perfectly with the wine. For my main dish, I ordered a bowl of their R’s Chili — which is ground turkey, fresh bell peppers, black beans and kidney beans for $ 10.00. It comes with gorgonzola cheese. but you can also opt for other standard choices. I also ordered a glass of Forget Me San Francisco(I believe) Pinot Noir. I’m not big on Pinot, but I tried this one and it was wonderfully light, fruity, and right up my palate. Chili arrived hearty in presentation. The chili was flavored well and quite tasty. The gogonzola cheese was an extremely nice, unique addition. Different but good. I then decided to ask for some additional cheese options. The owner suggested feta and parmesan. I got two small sides of the cheeses to try. The feta was fantastic mixed within it but my favorite was the good ol parmesan :) I got to chat a bit with the owner a bit and man, what an incredibly friendly, personable, cool guy. Overall, I enjoyed a fantastic afternoon here. The ambiance is classy, cozy and completely non pretentious. The service was top notch! Especially from the owner. The food was unique and stellar in taste. And the wine, just paired beautifully with everything. Oh, and did I mention the prices are phenomenally? Meaning, quite reasonable. I will definitely be back.

This is a perfect place to come if you would like to taste a variety of Livermore wines but don’t want to gallivant all over creation to do it. I would say about 75% of the wines on the menu are from the Livermore Valley. Pretty cool and worthy of an A+. S’mores Panini noooooooo! This was the main reason wanted to come in and I was so sad about this dessert. To me, it was like melba toast with chocolate in the middle. The best part about this dessert was dipping the strawberries in the marshmallow crème.
