I’ve been diabetic for over 10 years so I’ve had a lot blood tests. My veins are hard to hit and I always request they use a butterfly. Well today the technician came in with an attitude, argued with me stating she needed to examine my veins and she would determine if she should use a butterfly. I know what works for my body and I really don’t like being used as a pin cushion. I’ve have blood jockeys probing in one arm and then switch to the other arm and dig around with the same results. They always end up using a butterfly and it works every time! The technician walked out of the room and told the next person to deal with me, like I was some sort of out of control problem. I thought it was a simple request and I’ll do it again in 90 days for the next go around. I go to Quest to save money. I guess I get what I pay for! P. S. This is the 2nd time this event has occured, not as much drama the first time though.
