Wanted fish and chips, this is the restaurant that Google gave in search. First of, there was no sign or indication where to order. I had to ask (btw a very sad depressed looking young lady) if this is where we order and do we just pick a seat.
Order arrived and it looked good, but looks can be deceiving. The pieces of fish was thin and it had more batter then fish :(and regular fries. The worse thing was… NO TASTE! No flavor at all. Will NOT be coming back

I had lunch here today. I’ve been eating here for years and it’s always very good. Today was even better than usual. The fries were cooked so perfectly, fluffy inside and crispy outside, the way I love them. The fish was also delicious.
Service was quick as usual, and it’s always a pleasure to visit a bit with the friendly owner.

I have eaten here twice in the last week. I initially came to eat at the afghan restaurant next door, but finding it too crowded, I decided to give Louise’s a try. Glad I did! The fish and chips are perfect — not too much batter, golden, crispy and not at all oily. Fries (chips) are equally wonderful. The food is the equal of one of those sea side café’s at your favorite beach side towns, but you can enjoys it miles from the ocean! A mini vacation right here in suburban Livermore!

We stumbled into this tiny little restaurant that serves the best fish and chips. Don’t go there for the décor, go there for the food. I really enjoyed my meal, which wasn’t greasy or soggy. Nothing goes better with fish and chips than a beer and they have a wide selection of brews. I recommend it with two thumbs up.

The food was fresh, my shrimp was crispy, the fries were good. The cocktail sauce was very good the tarter sauce was horrible no flavor it tasted like mayo an dill pickle relish and since I am a tarter sauce expert I put a lot of weight on the sauce as it is an important part of my meal. Service was ok he wasn’t very talkative or inviting but that’s ok the place was clean and the food good. It would have been a five star review if the tarter sauce was good

If you like ants in your soda…(yes, I said ANTS).then by all means eat here! This is our first and last visit! They do not clean their soda machines… we were given a drink out of the soda machine with live ants still floating around! The lady had the nerve to tell me, well I just flushed all the ants out (while rolling her eyes at me) Well, good for you… should have cleaned the damn thing before you open the place! First, off if you are going to fill a drink up… you should be aware of what’s going inside the damn drink! DO NOT TELL ME… YOU CLEANED IT… BECAUSE I CAN SEE THE SYRUP ALL AROUND IT! DO NOT GO AND EAT HERE… I WILL BE CALLING the public health department about this! Someone needs to have a look into this place… shady as shit!
OH YEAH, and the food here is disgusting! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! The fish had no taste what so ever! Save your hard earned money and make your own fish and chips!

Came here for the first time last week after hearing it was a place a friend of mine enjoys. Service was neither friendly, nor unfriendly. More like indifferent. The food was hot and fresh. We had the fried fish, clams, oysters and shrimp along with the chips. The fish didn’t taste much like anything since there was no salt or any other seasoning. I enjoyed the fried oysters. My hubby pretty much liked everything but the fries/​chips. Décor was outdated but I didn’t mind it since everything looked clean. There’s no air conditioning so it was pretty hot in there the night we went.

Ordered fish & chips. No flavor or taste. It would be better if they added something to the batter to give it a little flavor. The same goes for the shrimp, the cocktail sauce tasted like glorified ketchup! It’s hard to believe other people like this place! Very disappointing.

What really needs to be said… very basic fish and chips (American style). Incredible. Yummy. Inexpensive. They also have prawns, scallops, oysters, clams, etc. All fresh battered in house as it’s cooked to order. My new favorite. A must stop, well worth the short drive off the freeway!

Some of the BEST fish n chips I have had, anywhere (beats the heck out of Long John Silvers)…all FRESH fried while you wait, not sitting in trays. Lightly crusted. Yummy with the malt vinegar on it… tons of freshly cooked fries. My Grandson and I went about 2:30 PM and it was empty… good for us! Small place with only 7 or 8 tables. Friendly fellow at the counter. We will definitely be back!

Love this place! My first time back in 35 years. One work… YUMMY. I LIKED IT THEN … I LOVE IT NOW. Old fashion fish and chips. Clean oil rules. Had fish, oysters, french fry’s and complimentary Livermore water. Just as I remember. Friendly, clean. Yes vote!

Grease city. We picked up our order to go.
The fish smelled like dead worms at the lake. Dry heaves when the bag was opened. The white part of the fish is tasteless and the texture was off. Tons of dark spots.
Clams were hard. Way too much batter on everything, with no flavor to the actual food.
Coleslaw is withered. The ranch dressing wasn’t even that good
Gorton’s frozen fish sticks are a gourmet delicacy compared to Louise’s.

I ordered fish and chips my daughter had the variety with clams and my youngest had the chicken strips. We were all pleased with our order.
Perfect amount of batter, huge serving. Friendly and quick service. Very clean, I didn’t expect that.
We will definitely return.

Best fish and chips in town by far ! Employees are always friendly and the food is great !! And yes, they will bring the food to your table. They have for me and my wife many times. I won’t complain about the décor? There have been times when I’ll order a (2) piece fish and chip and get a third piece of fish !!! The fish is not overly greasy and is very «meaty» on the inside and is crispy and fresh. I once had a suggestion for the woman behind the counter about maybe adding «hush puppies» to their menu.
This place always pleases…
